I can't decide if I am going to get the Sweetly Smoky pigment set or not! I definitely want it but am not sure if I want it now or should wait a few months for it to come to the CCO...I need to get my holiday shopping budget figured out ASAP!

Can someone help me picking a skinfinish powder to buy online, pretty please? I do not wear MAC foundation so I don't know what is my MAC skin tone. I am a Laura Mercier girl myself (tinted moisturizer in bisque and silk ivory foundation). I do own a bottle of the MAC body and face foundation in C2 if that helps. Thank you!!!

I hauled big time from GLAMOUR DAZE
Extra Dimension Skinfinish - Whisper Of Gilt - I already own Superb
Extra Dimension Eyeshadows
-- Divine Blue - midtone aqua
-- Stylish Merry - midtone dusty violet
-- A Natural Flirt - soft peachy nude
-- Tall Dark and Handsome - black with pearl
ORDERED ON LINE - should arrive tomorrow!!
-- Ready to Party - pale lilac
-- Stolen Moment - dark taupe (i was gonna skip this, but then i tested it again...)
SKIPPED with no regrets:
-- Round Midnight - dark burgundy
-- Evening Grey - steel silver
Kohl Power Eye Pencils
-- Orpheus - intense black with gold pearl
-- Raven - intense black with red pearl
I tested Mystery multiple times, but it always look too black, not quite green enough, for me
Fluidline - Feminine Edge
Nail Lacquer - Everything that Glitters
I put this on and while it's a little sheer, that works great to show off all the beautiful glitter in it. It isn't watery, it isn't gloppy, it went on smoothly and evenly for me. But i have hands the size of a 7 or 8 year old, so my nails are narrow.
---== FABULOUSNESS ==---
SKIPPED IT ALL
It's all so cute, but the only things i would wear were the e/s quads, and i know i'd get the lovely upholstery dirty way too fast. And the darn hanging bag sold out too fast!
---== GUILTY PASSIONS ==---
Sweetly Smoky Crushed Metallic Pigment Set
Feminity - Cool pink frost
Maribu - Lilac frost
Prettified - Mauvey frost
Dusty Desire - Rich purple frost
I tested them all and liked them.
Lavish Rose Lip Gloss Set
Going Casual (Cremesheen Glass) enh, shrug, give away
Colour Saturation (Cremesheen Glass) will try on, but likely too red for me
Demure - Warm pink with blue pearl (Dazzleglass Creme) might figure out something to do with it
Boys Go Crazy - Deep amethyst (Dazzleglass) Oh, be still my beating heart!
I finally caved and got it because Christine of Temptalia pointed out that "Boys Go Crazy" contains 0.9 oz., which is 150% of a normal Dazzleglass, 0.6 oz., and that's around $29.25 worth of Dazzleglass - so i only wasted $3.25, and maybe i can gift the other colors - but so few of my female friends wear makeup at all!

That being said, I still bought the Hanging Travel bag for $40 just then because everywhere else sold out ... I wasn't going to get it but then Lorraine posted this youtube clip about it and I caved!

I used my Neutral Eye Set today and I'm in love with it! And as per mac-aiken's suggestion I tried Beauty l/s with Oversexed plushglass
I used Jaunty e/s on my lid with Quarry e/s in the crease, then I blended Enviable e/s from the Neutral set on top of Jaunty and put Brun e/s in the outer V, Blonde Mink in the inner corner of the eye for a highlight. I tried out Local Wares fluidline for the eyeliner, too. My first time using it, it pulls more green on me.
I'm also wearing Small Vanity blush with Perfect Topping, and the Marilyn bp as a finishing powder

They really are awesome. Big difference is they aren't sticky. Esp compared to lipglasses. They got a silky type texture. They are full of sparkle goodness! But not gritty sparkle. They are by far my fav gloss. It only takes a little product too. Love love em!

Bad LS
You are such an enabler.
I placed an order this morning with Parceliton, just got a couple of MAC pieces, and other non-MAC stuff. Waiting this long and seeing all the reviews/swatches, I've managed to talk myself out of some things.
I didn't even consider the travel bag because of the size (would have needed to get a big box, so shipping would have gone way up).
But at $40 AUD (at the current exchange rate that is $38.60 USD), it's even cheaper than the US ![]()
So I just had to buy it!
Now stop encouraging me!
PS - if any of the Aussie girls need free shipping from the MAC Australia site, and their order is under $100 (the qualifying spend for free shipping), use code "PINKS".

Yes I am totally an enabler!!! You won't regret it!
Do you think it was an error by the MAC Australia website to list the bag for only $40 ? I was assuming it would be double that considering the usual rate of inflation we get over here ...
... I am not complaining though!!!
Thanks for the code - I've been signing up multiple times using different email addresses to utilize the welcome first order codes! (again and again) lol

Gorgeous look Duckrodeo. All colours work well together and beauty powder is perfect on you. I can see that SV blush is very versatile. What are you wearing on your lips? Looks very nice!

I was thinking it was an error too - I even thought maybe you made a mistake and were looking at the US site! But no, I looked and there is was - $40 AUD. Bet it won't be that price this time tomorrow.
I don't really need another hanging make-up bag - but at that price it was meant to be
Did you notice the individual lipsticks aren't out yet? I asked at my local counter, and they said the individual items from GlamourDaze won't be out until the 19th. Some garbage about they are waiting on stock from the US - they say this every time, it's nothing to do with Hurricane Sandy

Well singer82 already pointed out the differences very well, but I just wanted to add that sometimes you can get annoying threads (I'm not sure that's the right word) when you press your lips together and then open your mouth again. I'm sorry this sounds weird, but I don't know how to explain it:p I've found that as long as you don't overapply and clean the inner rim of your mouth with the finger pop tip that also helps prevent lipstick from getting on your teeth, then it's fine.

I was a bad girl today. I was going to meet my makeup friend (that I met thanks to this forum!) and she called to ask if I also needed to get to the counter again. She wanted to get a blush from the collection and I had already put Stylishly Merry and Round Midnight on hold so of course we went. Well...I also got Evening Grey, Divine Blue, Superb and Whisper of Gilt. Now my total haul is:
All EDES
Both EDSF
ETG polish
All kohl powers (already had feline)
But still I didn't get blushes or lippies so that's good right?

This looks stunning! The neutral eye kit is just divine for a sophisticated but nude eye. And Beauty + Oversexed is absolutely gorgeous on you! That's exactly the right way to wear Beauty!

That because it's not considered a "beauty" product. >_< Anything consider cosmetic as a luxury tax on it before you even have to pay your local tax. We have the same thing in Canada which is why many drugstore brands are marked up by 20% to 40%... again I'll say why would I pay $18 for Physicians Formula blush when I pay the same price for a MAC one? I know it worse in Australia (you dealing with 60% to $100% inflation) but it aggravates me to no end the fast an loose markup rules. >_<

Thanks! I don't particularly dislike the texture of lipglasses, but I don't mind change it for a little bit of sparkle goodness!

Thank you for the tip Pinkdollface! I'll use that when I get one, maybe MAC repromotes it or bring out something equally pretty or prettier.
