I just realized that I didn't get one of my fluidlines from my pre-order. I hope it isn't too late to call. How long has this been out? LOL I've had soo much going on, I'm finally starting to play with everything. I don't care about the product, they can just refund me the money.
Isn't that the truth Prettypackages!!!! So much product...too little time!

My Guilty Passions Brilliantly Cool Crushed Metal Pigments arrived today. It was a pre-order via my Nordstrom 'Angel of MAC' and like my prior order, it was nicely packaged. The round box of pigments was in a large peach & black satin gift bag, which I didn't know existed. Also in the box were two small gift bags, each with four sample sized containers of the other sets that I did not purchase. I was so floored. That was just so incredible of her. I love the colors and can't wait to delve into them.

I'd be interested in knowing how you like the Yachiyo brush an dhow well it performs. I've had my eye on it but I know someone who had it and it unraveled over a short time. Perhaps she just got a bad one. Regardless, I love the way it looks and would still purchase it.

I love my Yachiyo! I was initially quite sceptical because the it was so light and the skinny handle didn't look very user friendly. Its not uber soft, but because the bristles aren't too dense it feels very light on the cheeks. The pointy shape probably helps too. I've only had it for a couple of months and it's become the only brush I use for dark and/or hightly pigmented blushes (I happen to be bit of a klutz when it comes to blush and Yachiyo is pretty much idiot proof). I have yet to try it for contouring, but if looks are anything to go by it would be good for contouring too.
re: Unravelling - I'm worried about that too so I'm extra careful when I wash it and try to make sure I get as little water on the handle as possible. No problems so far!
If you like your blushes I'd say it's a good investment. And yes, it is a very pretty brush (I can't think of too many brushes that would fit this description
)

Then I must have this brush! I treat my brushes like fragile children...conditioning and bathing them every night. I think I can handle the Yachiyo.

Not yet, but that's where they're headed. I EASE things out so that when my husband says, "Is that new?" I respond, oh that old thing? Because by the time he sees it, it's old. Especially with the rapidity with which MAC cranks out collections...it isn't a total lie...is it, she hangs head and asks sheepishly?

That's very kind of you, thanks!
I'll be sure to drop you a PM once my bank account recovers from Glamourdaze, Strength and Taste Temptations.
yeah, i think you'll be fine. i'm sure Yachiyo will appreciate being pampered
out of curiosity, what do you use for cleaning your brushes?

I still see it online at Nordstrom...if it's indeed in stock, I can get it and maybe add it to a potential (future) brush CP
Not that I'm trying to enable you or anything...heh

I use baby shampoo with a little baby oil & tepid--cool water. For really dense brushes like my kabukis and the 163 I use MAC brush cleanser.

Oh go on then! And what the hell, I'll get the brush too. I'm doomed anyways! Nordies stocks Trish McEvoy, I believe.
If you drop me a PM with your Paypal details I'll send you to money asap.
Cheers!
I use baby shampoo too but I never tried adding baby oil. Will give it a go, thanks!
MUFE's brush cleanser is also nice for lazy days, but definitely not a replacement for washing.

Friends don't let friends have skipper's remorse! ROFL. Let me order the blush for "in store pickup" and if the order goes through, we can proceed from there! Sometimes Nordies is tricky with their availability.
(Sorry for the OT) And to confirm, is this the brush you're looking for? http://shop.nordstrom.com/s/trish-mcevoy-sheer-blush-brush-2b/2791313?origin=keywordsearch

I really think that I am finished with this collection. Luckily, I was able to find two more GD lipsticks, so I was able to get one for my mom (and another BU for myself) without having to give up my OF (which I have fallen in LOVE with)! And that was in October, so I'm holding on strong for "No makeup purchases in November" (I am not counting my Sephora VIB sale purchases because I used a gift card that I won from Karen at MBB).
I am trying to resist the l/g sets because I'm sure that they'll end up at the CCO, but my willpower is fading fast. Plus, I want the cute little gift bags
I have also decided to skip the brush sets. I still see plenty of last year's mineralized sets at the CCO, so if I REALLY want them, I could maybe wait a few months or even just buy the Glitter/Ice ones.
And lastly, I AM SO ANNOYED WITH MAC! I LOVE Stolen Moment! It's becoming one of my favorite e/s for the year, but I am trying to resist looking for a BU because I hate that I have to pay twice as much for nearly the same amount of product as the older EDES (well, I'd have more product, but it's the principle!!!)
I finally got my WOG and Touch Up Kit. They came from a Nordies in Denver. Only took them forever to send it out but it's here. I am so surprised at how light WOG is. I guess I expected it to be heavy like a MSF which has the same weight according to MAC but I guess the EDSF doesn't have the metal plate in it. I'm so glad that my haul is complete now lol.

yup. that's the one.
thanks again! :)

That's one way of describing how I felt about it when I put it on this morning. Blah! It really didn't go down to well after several obnoxious lip days (CYY - Guerlain Gigolo - Dear Diary - Illamasqua Kontrol - Neon Orange - Shiseido RS320) in succession. By the end of the day I was much more positive. It's not an exciting colour, but it's classy, subdued and wearable. Seeing as classy, subdued and wearable are three features currently missing from my lipstick collection, I'm glad to have it.
I'm going to pair it with a smoky eye next time round.
I bet a smoky eye will be beautiful with Glamour Daze. I really think it is like a natural lip color (for the fair/light set) just better. I really feel it has that pinky brown idea that Bobbi Brown uses. It is a base that would work with any of the lavish rose glosses easily. I think it is very deceiving because it looks better in the tube, more plummy, than it is actually on.
