Speaking of (near) makeup catastrophes... I was getting ready this morning and my HC MSF Earthshine went flying out of my hand!! I was scared to look where it slammed into the ground! BUT... luckily all that broke was the hinge of the compact! Product was intact! LE products really can cause you stress when they get away from you like that! The mess PLUS the added worry of not being able to track another down! The number 1 reason why I believe in BU's now... I always backup a LE product that I love JUST IN CASE! Your tile on the other hand... now THAT'S another story! UGH! Good Luck ladies...

Well........after I read through these posts and saw the above suggestion, I went to Belk.com I caved (and prayed that my credit card would go through) and bought Stolen Moment and Tall, Dark & Handsome......
I really hope that I like and can use them and don't regret getting all caught up in the EDES shadows (yes, p*ssed about the small size too)
meanwhile, this morning, while using Nebula pigment, from the Daphne Guiness Collection......it went flying off the counter. Literally half of the bottle, plus, is gone allover the floor, the ivory grout, the travertine bathroom floor tile.........this looks like dark brown in the pigment jar........it is a soft black........the more you try to clean, the blacker the pigment comes out ALL OVER the spill area..........gaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh That kind of accident is why I have over 200 Bare Minerals/Escentuals shadows lying untouched.
I could not get all that dark pigment out of the grout and tiles.......
i once dropped a bottle of rocker nail polish on an off white stone tile bathroom floor....in an apartment i was renting from my professor! i ended up having to use a lot of nail polish remover and a toothbrush to get it out of the grout! i was so sad...especially now it's discontinued too.
good luck with the clean up....sounds like a nightmare!

I'm so sorry to hear about that. I've fortunately broken makeup only a couple times in all my years, although i do have a few cracked cases, crazed mirrors (in compacts), and broken hinges. Probably because i rarely put makeup on in the bathroom.
But pigment, what a mess! and that blackened stuff... you have my sympathy.

Not really sure where to post my gripe about this, but since people are still in the process of having holiday stuff delivered to them, I figure here is as good a place as any. I used the free overnight shipping code to place an order on Monday afternoon. I figured I might get my package Tuesday, but definitely Wednesday. Nope, just kidding. It didn't even get shipped until Wednesday. So okay, I thought, I should get it today. Got home from work...no package at my door. Checked the tracking online and it said it was on the truck for delivery today. It's already 9 PM at this point. So an hour later, I check the tracking again and you know what it says? EXCEPTION: The package was missed at the UPS facility. UPS will deliver on the next business day. Excuse me??? I have never had this happen in my life! This was my first time using overnight shipping, so I'm gonna have to give MAC and/or UPS a big thumbs down on this one. Epic fail!!!

Venting session over.
Total fail!

That's the worse...I feel your pain. I once did the sane thing w/ MAC's Chocolate Brown pigment.

Oh Glamourdaze, forgive me! I take it all back! You're not boring or meh or drab. Your humble servant merely failed to pair you with the right liner in her first encounter with your highness. Today I'm wearing you with NYX Never and you shine like the brightest full moon!
![]()
I picked up NYX Never. It's gorgeous with Glamourdaze.
Never is very similar to MAC Plum, which is already my favorite liner to pair with Glamourdaze. Now I can use both pencils interchangeably.
EDIT: Trying on Glamourdaze with Never reminded me just how much I love this lipstick. So much so that I think I need another BU. I've been feeling the need to cut back on BUs in general now that my lipstick stash has grown so much, but I Glamourdaze needs more BUs.

I will make a note to try those UD pencils--they sound great too. Absolutely It does go with almost everything.
That kind of accident is why I like to decant a small amount of pigment into a sample jar for daily use. Of course, there is always a chance of spill during the transfer, but I will do that when I am NOT in a rush. I am sorry that happened to you!
Thank you so much for your suggestion and your empathy!
Naturally I was rushing around early in the a.m. before work and did not think about doing something as rational as that. Lavender pigment is my favorite, so I am very glad that did not happen with that color! I will have to find a small jar in my stash.
Thank you all so much for your sympathy and support! It is incredible how many times things have slipped or hit the floor. Despite trying to be careful.....I had a face palette/highlighter that fell; the contents smashed to smithereens, completely unusable.
I also had a Tarte maracuja oil roll on bottle that accidentally rolled right off and smashed glass on the tile floor. Again, rushing around in the morning trying to get to work early.....

I bought the brown pigment set and the purple pigment set. I like the brown crushed metal pigment set. it may be chunky but it's still workable for me, but not advisable to use all four colors together at once on the lids as it can be too shimmery, Would pair 2 colors @ a time for best effect. Haven used the purple pigment set yet so i have no comments on that but I do like the brown pigment set. But note, it can be quite chunky and glittery. the star color is the dark brown color in the brown pigment set

Thank you very much geeko
Do you happen to own any of the crushed metallic pigment sets that were released in the past?I wonder if these pigments are
more chunky and have a worse texture.
I have got several crushed metallic pigments so far and, while they sometimes need a bit of extra work, they are lovely products I do not want to miss in my stash.

I did a Glamour Daze eye look today. I'm afraid I hadn't used Divine Blue or Tall Dark and Handsome yet so I had to work these in. Ready to Party on the inner lid, Divine blue on the outer 1/2 of the lid, Stolen Moment in the crease applied with the 286 ?? brush (duo fiber blender brush), Tall Dark and Handsome on the outer V applied with the 226 brush. This is probably a little bit more colorful than I usually go but I did get a compliment from one of the makeup SAs at one of the counters. I don't remember which counter. I did look around for Round Midnight and so far I'm out of luck. I'll keep looking though. I still have yet to use Stylish Merry. I'm so bad.

let me know if you end up coming up with something interesting. i have a tendency to buy pigments, then when it comes to using them, i usually can't be bothered with the extra care it takes to work with them...so i'm trying to be good and keep myself going with these ones!!
your gd look sounds pretty. i didn't end up getting divine blue or tall dark and handsome, but i love all of the edes with this release. (more so than the first iteration. i know colours like round midnight were supposedly the same as rich core, but somehow i just prefer the richness of the holiday release...)

Thank you so,so much geeko
Wow....your swatches look stunning
Especially the purple set is right up my alley.Feminity and Dusty Desire are awesome
Thank you very much again!!!

As promised MACina here are swatches for the tenderly warm crushed metal pigment set and sweetly smokey crushed metal pigment set for ya. I am lemming a lot for the brillantly cool one too...but i'm afraid I have busted my budget and unfortunately have to skip the brillantly cool set :(
They are my faves too. Prettified and Maribu aren't half bad either ![]()
Thanks for the swatches geeko! ![]()

that is always the hardest thing for me with black lashes. I love the look of colored mascaras but have had trouble finding brands/colors that actually show up. BadGal Plum was invisible on me. I like the blues and purples the best. So the Dior was better than YSL colored? Dior Show was better than xtase?
We were speaking of colored mascaras almost a month ago on this board. I dropped by the INGOLT website (http://inglotcosmetics.com/) where they are showing many new products. So I discovered that INGLOT now has a range of colorful mascaras. I have never used them, so cannot comment on how they perform. They are called Colour Play Mascara (US$10), and they have 5 colors which are named by number only, no descriptions, so i'm inventing them.
01 Brown (i guess it's colorful, since most of their other mascaras are just black)
04 Violet
05 Navy Blue
03 Bright Cobalt Blue
02 Bright Green (leans blue rather than yellow)
INGLOT has a new US website -- and a new UK site, and a new Australian -- so if there's no INGLOT counter near you, you can buy on the web.
http://www.inglotaustralia.com/
Apparently there's a stand-alone INGLOT store in Fashion Island Mall, Newport Beach. So i'll go there on my way driving back home and see the Pacific Blue lipsticks, since the local Macy's didn't carry them.
