Can't be of any help to you, jennifae. Small Vanity is my go to blush for a natural no makeup look. Totally LOVE it. All this talk is making me think I should back it up. I've dealt with a discontinued favorite blush before, but came out of it okay with NARS Outlaw. Hmmm I think i'm gonna do it...

I still haven't played with the fluid lines.
Did anyone else find that liners drag? The color payoff on my eyes is not that exciting either.
I did not like Beauty, color was pretty, but I don't like forst on me. I also didn't like the dark purple gloss. Way too much for me.
Oh gosh you just reminded me I have the pink fluid line --- I haven't even opened it yet.

I took a gamble and bought Small Vanity without seeing it in person (I've bought a lot of stuff without seeing them recently and I haven't been disappointed so far). It doesn't look like much in the pan, but it really comes alive on the cheeks. I love it too! ![]()
It's definitely a blush you have to try on the cheeks, rather than just the arm for back of your hand. That's why I passed on it the first time. I just swatched it on my hand and it didn't look so great, so it was an easy pass at the time.

Do you mean the Kohl Power eye pencils? Because i got Raven (red pearl) and Orpheus (gold pearl) and they go on smoothly for me. I wear them often - i don't like black, but both look more like their pearl color and i love them. I didn't get Mystery (green pearl) because when i tested it the green shimmer wasn't as strong as the shimmer in Raven and Orpheus, and it looked too black for me. But, what can i say, the idea of green shimmer keeps calling to me, so now i have it in my MAC "shopping cart".
I find that sometimes an eye or lip pencil needs to be warmed up a little before application. I just cup the tip (still in its cap) in the palms of my two hands for a short time before i take off the cap. If it's still too hard, then i cup it, without its cap, for a little longer. That usually works. But some are just sooo hard and nothing seems to help - fortunately i haven't had that problem with MAC pencils yet.
Of the Fluidlines in this collection, I only got Feminine Edge, the glittery pink one. Because it is so light it's not much of an eyeliner on light skin. But works great as an accent above a darker eyeliner. I do get a little glitter fall-out which doesn't bother me much because it's hidden behind my glasses. But do bear that in mind.
I'm now considering ordering Catch My Eye Fluidline, which MAC describes as "cool taupe grey with dazzle pearl". But for me Little Black Bow, "charcoal with dazzle pearl", was a skip because i don't wear pure black or cool grey. However, IIRC, they were not as glittery as the pink one, so should be less problematic.

I would definitely get it as long as you have the chance. It is a stunning color
It works great as a liner and as a base.
My f/l faves from this collection are: Feminie Edge -> Catch my Eye -> Little Black Bow
Little Black Bow is the easiest to skip IMO.

Got Dramatic Encounter for my birthday today
Really like the colour, but it's not really appropriate to wear here at the moment, as its te middle of a stinking hot summer. This is definitely more of a winter colour.
This is my first amplified lippy - does anyone have any tips for getting it too apply smoothly? I'm finding it's going on fairly patchy, and being such a dark colour, the patchiness is really obvious

Prep and Prime Lip is my best friend when it comes to dark colours, Amplified or not. I actually use it under all my lipsticks and glosses because I love it so much! ![]()
I agree. It's by no means an inferior product but it is the most dupable colourwise. That said, I have all three and I love them all ![]()

Definitely check it it out then! I was able to find a Hello Kitty Tippy blush there about two weeks ago and it was BNIB for a very reasonable price! I got it already this week and tried it and it's love! I'm so happy because I missed the Hello Kitty collection and from the clearance bin I was able to get the three things I wanted most Tippy blush, Fashion Mews l/s and the Too Dolly quad. I need to do a look with all three together:)

I got the Sweetly Smoky pigment set along with the 6 Preferred Pinks lip palette as a Christmas gift from my sister today
I am so happy
The lip palette does include 6 of my favorite lippies from the perm and it is nice to have them all together in a palette.
I can put it on my vanity and do not have to reach for the individual tubes each time.

Heatherette was (and is) a stunning collection and I still love all the goodies I got from it.
Same for the Barbie Collection

So, I just got the Lavish Rose l/g set for Christmas
I don't really wear lipgloss like at all, what would I use to apply this on top of my lipstick? I don't want to get my glosses all gross. Can you purchase disposable lip gloss wands from MAC or Sally's or Walgreens or something? Does anyone have a favorite l/g applicator that they'd recommend?
I can't wait to try Boys go Crazy over Seductive Intent, and over Strong Woman once it arrives here! Oh and what lipsticks are you guys using with Color Saturation? It's such a pretty color but I'm not sure if it'd go well with any of the lipsticks I currently own.

I'm still on the fence about Lavish Rose set. The only shade I really want is Boys Go Crazy and I'm not sure if this is enough justification to buy the entire set. Have fun with your purchase!
re: lipglass application - I usually take out a bit of product and put it on the back of my hand. I then apply it with whichever lip brush happens to be lying around. Like you, I don't like getting lipstick colour on the gloss wand.

Boys go Crazy was actually the only one I was really interested in too, but the other colors have all grown on me & it's a good amount of product for a really reasonable price so personally I could justify buying the set for just BGC (er, well I guess I just asked for the set for xmas but I was going to buy it! :P). But then again, I'm not really a l/g person so it's not like I already owned any pale pink or peachy or berry colored glosses, they all are really pretty though. Demure and Going Casual might not be super unique, but they do have a lovely shimmer to them & I could see them looking great over a pale pink or peachy nude lipstick; Color Saturation didn't really seem like "my type" of color at first, but I know a lot of people really like it, and I think it would look really good over a lipstick like Rebel or another deep berry color (I don't own Rebel yet or else I'd try it, but now that I'm getting into vampier lips I think I may need to pick it up). Boys Go Crazy is obviously gorgeous.
Oh, and Temptalia actually said in her review that the dazzleglasses in the sets contain more product that the regular individual ones (I just looked it up & the individual d/g on the site only contain .06 oz of product while the ones in the set contain .09 oz, so that's awesome) and they're normally $19.50 a piece so you're getting more than your moneys worth with just the 2 dazzleglasses in the set. It's actually a pretty great deal really.

Wow! I didn't know that. I think I might have to reconsider my decision. Thanks for the heads up! ![]()
