Carnival Makeup recs

Hey everyone,

 

I'm going to be playing carnival here at home in Trinidad and Tobago next year and I'm a bit lost as to what makeup I should go with for my costume. I want some something bright and bold!

You're soo lucky. I wish I was going home next year to play mas. I hope you have TONS of fun - which you will of course. But have you tried TCD blog? I know tribe has done that color scheme before so she may have looks that you can search. Even her FB normally has suggestions. Or even TJJ galleries. I do have this pic saved on my laptop tho. If I see anything else I'll be sure to post!

Wow those costumes are sooooo beautiful and elaborate smiles.gif Love the colors, so vibrant. I love the makeup on the second picture, the gold shadows and the extreme winged liner suits the whole look very well...

I've checked her blog.. But nothing really jumped out at me.. I DO love the look in the pic you posted!! IRL the costume is more of a peachy colour than it is orange.. I have some time to figure it out.. But I wanted to incorporate the green as well.

 

Glammy girl.. If you think these are elaborate, there are costumes called 'individuals' that are a million times more worked up!

Laurie, yes my mom side is trini. I played mas this year for the first time with IP, awesome experience. Legs were beat by Tues.! You do have time but watch it sneak up on you. Esp if you're doing boots and Monday wear. But I'll still look around for you in the galleries so i can relive the experience.

Oh that's awesome to know there are other Trinis here! If you were coming home we could have met up!! It's my first time playing as well, but I'm playing with friends who have played before! I'm unbelievably excited!! 142 days left according to Bliss' website!! Eeeeek! I have exams pretty soon as well, so I don't have the time to search around.. I'm thinking to order some MUFE eyeshadows.. I want something long lasting. Did you do your mu yourself?? What did you use?

Trini to d bone! lol. I wish I was coming home, my mom still thinks I should try but the cost of flight, costumes and not to mention the must go to fetes, it's pricey! But anywho, I'm excited for you because I know you will enjoy yourself. Just make sure you stay close to your friends, lost one of mines on Tuesday after crossing the stage! lol. Lol.. Nice! It is pricey.. Even for me and I don't have to factor in the cost of a plane ticket!! Everyone says it'll be an amazing experience and I have no doubt that it will! Once my exams are over I'll start to play around with makeup ideas!! All I know is I want glitter and crystals!! Hehe

Oh my gosh!! Thank you so much!! I went to a blog called Pigments and Palettes and strangely enough there was a look with yellow/orange and teal! .. I may try to recreate it .. The first link is gorgeous though!!

 

And yes, it has snuck up on me! Costume collection on Tuesssdayyyyyyyyyyy!!!!!!!! Eeeee!

When I'm all dressed up for Tuesday, I will def post pics in full costume and full makeup!!!!! And yes, having lots of fun liming!! I can't wait!! I am sooo excited!
