MAC 2012 "Making Pretty" Couture Collection Discussion (December 2012) - Page 6

MY LIST:

-Dark Secret Mystery Powder

-3n

-Brush set????

The MW $80 brush is still available, so I am wondering if these brushes will hang around for a while.  I saw a release date of Dec 6 online and the 13th in-store.  That's good.  I get a little break in-between.  MM, GD. now Making Pretty.....WOW.  But I did skip a lot this yr.  I didn't buy anything from Style Seeker, Carine Roitfeld, Office Hours, Face and Body,  only 2 items from Extra Dimension,  Tres Chic (I think that is what it was called) I didn't think any of the blushes would work for me, limited purchase from Hey Sailor(one bronzer) and Beth Ditto(two l/s).   So all and all  even with the high prices, I think I'll get those three items.  MAC is my favorite and probably will be for some time  but the makeup I buy has become more of a pretty collection to look at and hardly gets used. :(   I am 'new to MAC'.  I think i started in 2010.  I already have more l/s and e/s that one person could wear in three life times...   blah blah blah.  I was just trying to rationalize the makeup I buy, but who am I kidding........It's just soooo pretty.

I still have 2 full Eludes from GP that I backed up so I dont think I need another powder. I just wish I loved the packaging! I always love couture collections and never flinch at the price. Makes it hard to look at the brushes and want to buy them! Argh, think I might invest in the 136 seperately

As for Silver Dusk, wish that was in black cute packaging like that too, even tho i know its perm.. im just a sucker for black couture collections

omg $33.50 for 3N and $78 for silver dusk?! I love the products and packaging, but the price tag along with it hurts. I really wanted to splurge on the extra dimension eyeshadows Q___Q

what exactly is a mystery powder good for?

Does anyone here have a swatch of 3N? Is it similar to Hue or Innocence Beware?

im getting 3n x 3. i wished it was in regular packaging to get atleast 5. also i hope the lippie cases are of sturdy metal like the lancome ones which are $28-$29

 Absolute Rougeor Rouge In Love

i only have 3 lancome lippies that i got at the outlets. i dont like the smell/taste. i do love the juicy tubes which i also got at the outlets on sale . i somehow cant pay the $18 that they cost.

Me neither....I have a few Lancome lippies and really love the colors and the texture but the smell needs getting used to LOL

Maybe 3N will be repromoted in regular packaging one day. This is only just the second repromote and several

other items were repromoted 3 times.....

It must be really pretty as you are the 2nd person I've seen on this forum who is getting back ups. Oh I can't wait to see it!

I think I'm the only one that doesn't like the packaging. Guess it's just not my style. Nothing can compare to the Gareth Pugh packaging for me. And the colors were awesome too! Def my fav couture collection. I do want to get 3N though heart.gif

It's a very simple, everyday kind of color.  I tend to only BU those type of colors. Those colors you do run out of more.  Well, for me, i NEVER run out of a bright lipstick. Like ever. lol

It's a perfect nude pinkish color :)

And i love the uber girly packaging!

I totally agree.  It is costly.  That's why im only gonna even look at the lipsticks. haha th_happy1.gif

I've never purchased anything from a couture collection before, but the packaging for silver dusk is just so freaking cute! If I ever finish it up I'll probably just fill it with another loose powder or something.

No I dont like it at all either... I will be skipping this collection.. the packaging puts me off

Cause were metal heads girl! Lol this def is more pop star pretty. I really want 3N. But not too sure if I want to spend the couture packaging price.

I was going too but I have been able to track down the regular 136 so I decided to pass... I hate skipping couture collections but I prefer paying for the regular brush than a packaging i dont like

I have the 136 that I got from my CCO, but I'm curious to see this brush set before I make a final decision.

Especially for the brush set because I don' t have the 282 yet!

I think im skipping this collection too. the packaging is soo cute but sooo expensive and limited range of colors.

I wish it was flamingo and not 3N coming out with this collection.. I have mixed feelings about 3N, I only like it on a few people. I'll have to go try it in person..

So far this collection this collection is a skip for me, hoping it stays that way. winks.gif

Flamingo instead of Runaway Red would have been great heart.gif
