Ok so looks like we have a name for the Violet lipstick "Strong Woman" (I've also been told its a great dupe for Heroine)

"Strong Woman" is described as a bright Violet matte, to be released with the Strength collection.

 

I hear all the lipsticks in that collection will me matte. (not 100% sure though)

Bright Violet matte AND dupe for Heroine? I'm in

They'd better bring this collection to greece otherwise I'm going to hunt them down for eternity!

That was actually exactly what I was thinking of doing. I have a few that looked amazing swatched, but just don't suit my colouring. (Thrills, from To the Beach a couple of years back was a heartbreaker that way.)

Same here. I got Flamingo and Party Parrot but skipped on Pink Pigeon. I feel like I have plenty of bright pink lippies (Viva Glam Nicki, Force of Love, Chanel Genial and Hyde Park) that hopefully I can skip it again!

I found that Pink Pigeon and Party Parrot were like matte versions of Show Orchid and Fusion Pink (I can't remember offhand which is which.) I have both of those, so I passed on these ones last time, but now I'm feeling like I should get them. What's truly funny is that I don't feel like I could get just one of them. If I buy, it will have to be both. Or, most likely, all four of the lipsticks we've heard about from this collection.

I love Party Parrot. It is so pretty in person. On me I have nothing else like it.

It seems like it should be dupeable but I don't have anything quite like it and honestly of all the lippies from IA, I wore it the most.  I know everyone went apey over Flamingo but I fully recommend Party Parrot.  It is simply

I should have joined Lipstick Anonymous years ago. Before I had to face the fact that I have an entire dresser drawer for my lipsticks... I think I might be beyond hope and, yes, I am still seriously thinking that I need all four of the lipsticks from this collection: Pink Pigeon, Party Parrot, Strong Woman and Firm Form. Clearly, I need help.

incidentally, how are you storing your lipsticks within that drawer?

at the moment i've kept my lipsticks in a big tupperware that pretty much holds the lippies upright...but only if they're tightly stacked together!!!

is there a montreal chapter of lipsticks anonymous?

Party Parrot is such an all-year-round color, really! It's not too pastel or milky, but not too deep and strong either, plus not totally red, pink or coral. I bought BUs right when IA came out, so I think I'm covered, but for anyone who hasn't tried it out, it really was one of the best MAC lipstick shades this whole year, if not the 100% best. 

Hi, ladies can someone answer a quick question for me please, whats the difference between Mac's Normal matte lipsticks and Mac's Mattene lipsticks?.

Its just that i read some where on the site that the strong women lipstick thats coming out in the "Strength collection" is a mattene and is suppose to be a dupe to heroine, but heroine is a matte lipstick from the normal lipstick range if you get what i mean, so will there be a difference in texture or is the difference just in the tubing or something......sorry if i sound dumb , but as my mama always say...the cure to ignorance is to ask .
