I first applied Firm Form and patted it in, then I just lined the edges with JMT, thinking I'd have to go back in and blend it with a brush, but it matched beyond perfectly - I didn't even need to blend - I just did a second layer of FF close to the pencil line and that's all it needed. SO MUCH BETTER than Nightmoth, which looks nice, but changed the whole color.

 

 

Edit: the rest of my make up is just a thin wing with the black Super Slick liner and a little Brains & Brawn - the taupe one - from All Woman to even out the lids. Nothing else! Looks great. I feel very stylish!!

liba is spot on with Just My Type. NYX Black Berry deepens Firm Form and makes it more black. Just My Type keeps it in the dark chocolate brown territory. I think I prefer pairing Firm Form with Just My Type over NYX Black Berry. I have Black Knight if I want a black lipstick.

I couldn't find a NYX dupe for Just My Type in my stash. Expresso isn't anywhere near dark enough, and is way too warm and brown. Black Berry is just, well, black. The closest I came was mixing those two pencils together. The color was close, but it still reads a bit warmer than Just My Type.

Oh my goodness, you can rock each one so well!! Pink parrot looks specially divine on you. 

Got my PaPa today! I can't believe I was able to get PiPi and PaPa. Of course it got up into the lower 80's today (seriously cali it's January what gives?) so it was a little sweaty. I know it'll be ok tho as I dealt with that over our never ending summer. I'm just glad I was able to haul what I have.

@ Pinkdollface - Your lipstick application is always so clean and precise. What do you do? Are you wearing liners?

I normally wear lipliner, but in these pics I didn't. It also wasn't perfect, but I cleaned up the edges a bit with my fingers and for some reason my camera doesn't capture tiny mistakes that well:p All I can say to get it very neat is to take your time and practice.

I'm not much of a lip liner person, but JMT is a necessity if you wear black lipstick and want it to look black, not purple or red (any black, not just Firm Form - but Firm Form absolutely!)

Thanks. I can get a neat application and I normally use a tissue to clean up my edges. I was just wondering if you did anything extra like use a brush in your application.

Hey Party Parrot People!!! 

I'm wearing PaPa today with the usual black lined eyes I wear with it and was thinking "All I ever wear this with are black or blue winged eyes, or teal or skin-toned shadow." 

Anyone have any other interesting ideas for eye looks to go with, when it's Parrot Partying Time!

Hip 'n' Happy was on my wish list of DC'd/LE stuff, but my local MAC has quite a few! I didn't try it on my lips (i tested it on my arm) because i was wearing Strong Woman today and that stains my lips a bit. I'm not much of a lip liner person. I don't need it at all with lighter colors and most darks i can get on neatly enough. But brights - and Strong Woman is a bright for me - i often need a little liner so i don't look like a kid playing with mom's lipstick.

Black is my number one lipstick I use liner with - it always seems to benefit from a precisely defined edge, plus in the past, black lipstick usually wore off the fastest and most unevenly, so having a little something underneath was usually a good idea if I wasn't going to be somewhere were I could touch it up often. I got so excited when I first saw JMT because I knew it was cool-toned enough to not add redness, but not look as harsh as pure black. I use it with all my black lipsticks and my really dark purples, like Cyber, Potent Fig and even Yung Rapunxel, though that one's reddish enough it also looks good with Nightmoth, plus of course, dark browns. It's really awesome and I'm sad it's not perm. I have a few BUs.

I ordered Just My Type last night and I'm going to pick it up from the store on Friday. I never buy brown lip liners because they're usually warm toned and I have no use for them. JMT looks great though. I'm wondering if I should get a BU of Just Wonderful. It's a very versatile colour and I use it a lot but I find it a touch dry sometimes. Is anyone aware of a good dupe?
