How could I think of even skipping these lipsticks. I tried all three and was in LOVE. NI is amazing right out of the tube. I thought it would look like budding love on me but its nothing like it on my lips. It's like a more muted deeper snob. It's perfect. SI is def. sisters with heroine but I don't mind because I'm like 50% left on heroine and probably will never get my hands on another unless MAC repromotes. I really didn't need NB since I haven't been into hot pinks lately but what the hell. Also picked up perky lipglass it's gorgeous.

I wish this collection came to the Netherlands... but alas... My heart beats for all those purple lovelies!

If you want to tone down SI, use half- red liner with it. They look beautiful together. Those two joined together is beautiful.

I think what I want is to up the purple more.  Thinking about trying Purple Dash (eyeliner) with it or NYX Deep Purple.

 

NB is going to be a go to this Spring I am thinking...

Spidey Sense is telling me with all the purples MAC's been bringing out, maybe we will see a really bright outrageous one in whatever collection corresponds to Reel Sexy - the spring/summer sexy nighttime collection 2013. Or maybe even in the main summer collection if it isn't quite as classic style as Hey Sailor was.

 

I can't think of another color that would bring out the hype train buffalo stampede like a super bright matte or satin blue purple, since hot pinks are nearly reaching saturation point - and we know how much MAC likes a good frenzy.

I feel like I didn't give this collection much love because MAC decided to throw a whole bunch of other collections at us during the same month.. There's a lot of things I regret skipping ..

A new lipstick from maybelline called brazen berry looks a lot like seductive intent, only difference is the finish

Also hot plum looks a lot like night blooming again the finish is different
Got them today

But I thought I'd share

I hate when that happens....  but wait a lil while they will be at cco's and members here will realize they don't need their backups.

I've been to that store. Not recently tho as I live in Orange County but they do seem to hold onto some stock when I've been there. I've had good service there as well. I hope people can fix their skipper's remorse.

I wore both blushes and Night Blooming blotted to a stain with Perky over it today, specifically because I wanted to give the collection a little love. I used Amethyst Pressed Pigment on the eyes. It was a good look!

Yup, that is usually my go to store (Temecula) when I am looking for something sold out at most OC stores. The MAC in the Brea mall is a good one too!

I haven't been there lately tho as it is a drive and well gas prices lol. I sometimes meet up with a friend from the Hemet area and it's kinda a mid point. I actaully grew up by Hemet and remember Temecula being so tiny and there being nothing there (80's) now it's freaking huge and is the central shopping hub for that portion of the IE. It's crazy lol. 

I just moved to Lake Elsinore from San Juan Capistrano. I moved in July. I miss the OC a lot because it seems so empty out here but I still drive back out there weekly it seems. What city are you in?

I'm currently in Buena Park. My husband and I are trying to buy a house out your way but I think our realter isn't very good as we have to contact her and never hear back on offers we put in. It's really lame actually. Now there's a possibility of my husband being relocated to the east bay area for his job so who knows lol. I just want to know where I'm gonna wind up. I really miss the IE honestly.

My husband and I moved out here because we bought our first house. Our mortgage is several hundred cheaper than our rent was in OC and it's a way bigger house. I can give you our realtors info if its time for a new one. His office is in Temecula and he knows this area well. Our house shopping experience turned out way better than I expected because we kept hearing horror story after horror story. I love how there is way less traffic out here! :)

the quad in this collection is sold out at all the local mac counters and stores...can anyone who bought it give me their opinion? i've read a few times that the shades are dupable, but i'm wondering why it's then sold out all over? or maybe it's just locally? 

It's definitely dupable. Carbon is perm, naval is pro perm, the upper right colour is duped with contrast, and the upper left can be duped with crystal or beautiful iris (depending on if you want it more lavender-grey or lavender-blue.

I keep repeating this to myself so i don't buy it. Don't buy it. Don't buy it. Don't buy it.

It's still available online. I guess it is dupeable but these quads seem to be more affordable than making your own quad from what I can tell. HTH!

thanks! i liked the quad when i swatched it, but you have a point that i could just build the quad myself with similar shades...and it means i wouldn't have yet another carbon! 

i had it in my cart for the last couple of days, humming and hawing...i think i will try back to macing for the three shades other than carbon!

Exactly why I keep hesitating myself, then the hoarder in me thinks, what if one of the blurples is actually unique, like Violet Trance or something.  Then I remember, I have Violet Trance, which is the ultimate blurple, so don't worry.  Then I think, what if the blurple in the TT quad is even more HG than Violet Trance.  Then I let out a deep breath and tell myself I will just see if it shows up at my CCO.

Thank you for this!  Contrast has been on my wishlist for awhile now, if I ever get a break from buying LE stuff I will add a pan of it to my shopping list.

 

I finally tried on Nocturnal Instincts and it's like a grey-tinged version of my lips...  When I was first patting it on I couldn't tell much of a difference, layering a bit more on made the greyness stand out more.  It's strange but I do like the colour on myself.  Sometimes I wish my lips were less pigmented.

^Leeny, Try Lip Erase to diminish the pigmentation of your lips before applying lippie. This may help.

I think a bit of concealer over lips may work too.

Here is a picture of Seductive Intent over Magenta lipliner on me. Please excuse the frizzy hair I have been outside and the wind did this too it:p I received my mattenes this week together with my Strength goodies, so this was my first time trying it. It is a tiny bit more pink in real life. On my eyes I'm wearing the All Woman quad from Strength and I have both blushes on from that collection too. Ow and I'm also wearing the BB cream, some Studio Finish concealer and MSFN. The BB cream is really great! Seductive Intent is yet another wonderful purple from Mac. I also love that it's a mattene, because that's just a great formula.
