I need swatches of the MES. sigh.gif

Thanks!

And me too - Liba's beautiful descriptions have me wanting all 5! I need more MES like I need a hole in the head, but mineralise stuff is my weakness!

Did you look good in Salute! but felt it was too light? Then you will LOVE Cozy Up. You look like an NC in your photo, but if you're NW, definitely check out Hot Chocolate too - that one's going to be a HG nude for deeper NW.

Thank you liba!! Yes im an NC but not too much yellow. more neutral. Aaaah i cant wait for Cozy Up!!

My cheeks are the lightest part of my face so now im super excited for Alpine Bronze after you said that.

Yeah I still have some from Cham Pale and Fashion Flower!  Wish I had backed them up.  I hope they do a lavender one heart.gif

thanks for all the links super sleuth naydine!

sadly the colours look off on my monitor, at least if i compare them with what i imagined from liba's descriptions... the one i assume was brown or red looks purple....i guess with instagram you never know what filter as been applied.

If Mac had a credit card I would be in debt for life.

Oh my lawd y'all...apparently I can use my employee discount on cosmetics, 20% off. HOWEVER, I don't want to have to risk not getting what I want...I suppose I could get them to hold my stuff for me, though I'm wary of the SAs not holding them and selling them because they feel like it. What to do...

As always, you're the best!

One of those blushes looks really pale tho. blink.gif

Thank you Naynadine! flower.gif

Looks like the lip balms will be a skip for me. Yippee! More cash for other stuff! Not sure what to think re: the blushes either. Need more swatches to decide.

The PLW pencils look nice too but I can always get them later (or never, if MAC continues to release new LE collections so frequently lol.gif)

i find with instagram pics i try not to get too excited/dismayed about the colour i see, and just use them to compare the colours swatched within the picture....so if i know a particular colour is supposed to look a certain way, i mentally add/subtract the appropriate colour from all shades swatched....doesn't really work when you haven't seen any of the colours before....

on the other hand, i think liba mentioned one of the blushes had brightening qualities similar to forever marilyn, which was also very light when swatched...

Still need more swatches.

Yeah, I definitely need non-instagram pics before I can make my decision!

Did you take advantage when Macy's employees had the 40 percent off fragrances and cosmetics? I bought so much Mac.

Bear in mind differences of skin tone - what's light on dark skin won't be so light on lighter skin, what's dark on light skin may appear to be a medium tone on dark skin. Also, it's hard to tell which and how many factors could have altered the colors: the lighting, flash, the camera, compressing photos, different monitors, etc.

That's one reason i hate having to order before seeing and testing things. I know they'll look different IRL and on my skin, lips, eyelids, cheeks, etc. I didn't get to test Taste Temptations - although everything turned out fine in my order. I do have maybe 3 duds in my collection, though, from other orders.

Let me chime in and say these photos aren't all very accurate. The blush and the lipstick ones are really inaccurate, even without the flash - all the colors are much less whitish. The non-flash balm one is ok, still a little white - same with the MES. All the photos are missing a browner, warmer cast (not that any of the actual colors run brown).

It's a start though, and I'm sure there'll be more photos soon! Thanks for the detective work yet again, Naynadine!!

I sure did!! I bought plenty of brushes.

although the swatches we have seen are not accurate, I guess I may prefer Fireside to frost at midnight.. and I may like Nice & simple lip balm!

No, there wasn't anything I wanted to buy at the time. *sigh*

I found out that my store doesn't take pre-orders, so now I'm at a loss. I suppose I could call the store that's closest to me (not the one I work at) a few days before the launch and ask if they can hold my stuff for me. The last time I did that there weren't any problems. I hope the same SA is still there.

Swatches of a balm and a liner:

- Honi

If the prices on Karrie's blog are correct, I won't buy any of the balms here, I'm not paying 21,50 Euro for it. Tendertones were 15 Euro I think, lipglasses are 17, I don't see why those balms are that much more expensive.

Ugh €21,50 blink.gif I'm thinking about asking for a cp.. for Après Chic and Strength. But I need way more swatches to decide what I want.

21,50 €.....that is really VERY much icon_eek.gif

I can not remember how much the lipgelees were but I am sure that they were cheaper and they have more content.

OT: I want Go for It and CYY as lipgelees th_e2cloud9.gif
