I would like to ask all specktras to take a moment of silence and pray for those children killed at the elementary school in CT. Don't forget to say I love u to those u care about. You never know when it will be the last time u see them. Kiss ur children and pray that god will give them the health and long life.
Such a sad tragedy, as a parent it doesn't cross ur mind when sending ur kids to school that it could be the last. I'm glad my kids know mommy loves them every night before bed we say good night to each other and I love you, along in the morning when I take them to school I love u have a good day and kiss good bye...
This def made me cry just such a horrible heart breaking story, I can't imagine being one of those parents waiting to see if their child is ok, children are such a blessing, no worries in the world no idea how crazy people are... My heart goes out to everyone affected by it

That´s what the MUA´s at Make Up Store taught me.
The colour of the fingertips are much more
similar to the lips than the colour of teh hands or arms.
So I guess it´s true.

It´s all so awful and very, very sad!
I can´t even imagine how the poor
parents (and other close ones) must feel.
And so close to Christmas!

I couldn't swatch the 4 i placed on hold yesterday but they look good. After reading Liba's description of these they do seem really promising. The one that especially stood out to me just by looks alone was Frost At Midnight. I hope we get to see some swatches of these before the release date.
Not to go off topic here but has anyone been to the stores the day after Christmas? Are they as packed as Black Friday? Macy's, where i'm picking them up at, opens up at 7am on the 26th. 12 days and counting!
In my experience, they are usually packed as people return Christmas gifts and/or purchase stuff because they received gifts cards and cash. I'd go as early as possible to avoid the crowds.

My prayers are with the families. We also lost a police officer in my city yesterday. She was a mother of four girls ages ranging from 2 to 14. As she was serving an arrest warant on a drug suspect he emptied a high powered rifle on her and another officer. The other officer survived. It hits so close to home as my husband is a police officer as well. These senseless tragedies have to stop.

Pure & Tender lip balm:

According to her the packaging comes in a clear tube with gold shimmer but the balm itself is clear.

Meh. What's the bloody point?
Looks like there's no place for the balms in chez Buick.

I'm also skipping if there's no shimmer.
ETA: But Pure & Tender and Stay Warm are the only ones without the ''pearlized pigments'' in their description so the other three lip balms probably have shimmer?

The balms are quite sheer, only very lightly tinted. They changed the color of my lips, but only enough to even out the natural color and give it a cast of new color. The sparkle isn't too obvious when worn, either - it's more of that light reflective micro-shimmer. I compared these originally to the very sheer cremesheen glasses that came with Cremesheen + Pearl, such as Rising Sun (which I looooove).
The big difference with these balms, as I've said before, is that you can actually blot them down without them doing weird, crumbly or uneven things on your lips - plus they still stay moisturizing-feeling when you blot them down. These are the unique features they have - and if you like barely there lips, when you see these features, they might make you sit up and notice. Personally, I've got one of each set aside, and if I winnow it down, I'm still only going to skip one or two. It's a good look if you like to concentrate on your eyes and want to keep your lips as played down as possible without just going bare. Also a good product if you're a little older and want to give your lips that fresh, Sweet 16, effect - they're really good for youth-i-fying. If you already have young lips, then it just boils down to if you like the texture and the sheerness.
I do think Temptalia will probably give a pretty fair assessment of how moisturizing they'll actually be, since she makes an effort to test products out all day and sometimes all night. From what I could tell, I didn't think they were less moisturizing than tender tones.

Oh no! I feel so sorry for the daughters!
And it must be hard for you and your family too.
And again, so close to christmas!
When I was 10 y/o, one of my dearest friend´s father
committed suicide two days before christmas eve
(we celebrate christmas at christmas eve in Sweden).
I was with her that day it happened.
Of course it would have been tragic the whole year around,
but she was looking forward christmas.
And instead of joy and happiness,
she had to deal with her father´s suicide.

Pure & Tender is not clear and colorless. I swatched it. It's kinda neutral nude. MAC describes it as "plummy creamy nude". It's sort of "My Lips But" sheerer. It's the other one i want, but didn't pre-order. I'll wait and see how i like Nice & Simple, described by MAC as "bronzy gold with multi-dimensional pearlized pigments", which i did pre-order. If i like how it feels, i may get Pure & Tender.

It seems that holiday times and New Year, bring out great sadness for some, trauma and as we all know too well, things in the world are not all calm and bright. I think people expect that Christmas should be the most idealized version of ourselves and for good, which is why it is so used to reflect against. But these tragedies are horrific at any time, and the love and empathy for others, needs to be there all of the time. When it is not, it is even more exaggerated at times of joy and celebration, or traumatic for those who believe or see others having what they are unable to share in.
The joy of magic, lights, gifts, wishes and dream would no doubt have been in preparing so much for these children in CT and this is devastating.

I went to my freestanding Mac store and asked them if I could look at the collection. She very rudely said no, even though they had it in the back. I said I didn't want to swatch, just look at them and she said she couldn't do that and just walked away without asking if I needed help finding anything else. I didn't even try to pre-order, because I knew that would be an automatic no. *sigh* at least I tried. Customer Service at Mac is horrible.

I only ever got to go look in the back once, for Wonder Woman. I had got an email saying to come look ... maybe that's the key i dunno.
I sort of wish that I could go back to when I'd look in person before buying, but shit always sells out now!

Yeah apparently when customers saw the products beforehand, those items sold out faster, and other customers would complain. Or when they saw the products and asked us to hold them (we weren't "allowed" to hold LE products before their launch-yup, broke that rule too!) they'd get there asap, but others beat them to it, so those customers would complain. And you can't take time away to show all customers new stuff before the launch, but you sure as hell can show no one!
It's unfortunate that MAC doesn't follow procedures universally. One reason why I'm no longer there.

How rude. I went to my Macys counter, and they didn't have testers ready to go but the SA told me that she would have them out by tomorrow. Hopefully I have time to go tomorrow so I can pre-order. She said that the collection is really beautiful, and that it will sell out quickly. She also said that she expects Stereo Rose to sell out before the launch in stores, so if you can, get your pre-order in NOW!
I don't know if close-ups have already been posted ?

I compared all these to Porcelain Pink and I`d say that only Blonde is similar. It is more pink and cooler toned than PP though.
I would not call them dupes!
Lightscapade and PIP are nothing like PP and Star Wonder is way too pink and does have (more or less slightly) plummy undertones (depending on the veining).
Here are swatches:
