MAC Viva Glam Nicki Minaj 2013 - Page 15

The lipstick looks so pretty.  But, I don't know if I should get it...it looks pretty similar to my Lavender Whip. Instead of getting it, I guess I'll support the cause by getting another trusty ol' viva glam v.  Maybe I'll get the gloss....but the pics of the  lipglass look pretty similar to Famously Fab lipglass from the Tour de Fabulous collection (December 2011, I think).  Does anyone else have Famously Fab? What do you think?

umm ok so i tried the nicki lipglass n snapped a pic (dmn it i'll post it later) but i will say THIS: umm yea it looks exactly like the revlon lilac gloss! even though YES viva glam is for a good cause i'd go with the lipSTICK vs the lipglass cuz 1. i hate the tackiness of them and 2. it'll come off sheer anywayz so why not just save the money n go wit revlon!!

so i picked up my nicki2 yesterday and i'll post pics later cuz i wanna try it with diff liners n etc as well. i love the idea of pairing it with nightmoth, vino n others to get the ombre effect. i dare NOT wear it alone though lol. i'd say u MUST (well not must cuz there's no rules n makeup) doctor it up to make it REALLY pop wit awesome-ness!!!

And yes, unfortunately it does emphasize yellow in the teeth. I love to just wear the lipglass by itself actually, I wore it to school today and got a few compliments on it! Probably going to buy a couple B/Us of the lipglass. It's very pretty for daytime

so i tried the nicki2 lipglass...im not a fan of lipglasses and even though it's for a good cause the revlon lilac gloss is basically the same thing sooo i skipped it

i always feel DUMB takin pics of myself in public. i know folks be like dmn she's so vain

when i got home of course i dipped into the lipstick liiiiike asap lol but umm yea its definitely NOT color i'd wear alone so i paired it with mac magenta liner:

and today i played in it using Vino liner (topped with revlon lilac lipgloss) which seems to be a popular shade folks are using it with:

 aside from supporting a great cause i'd recommend this shades for all skin tones becuz u can play it up, down or over the top with the endless possibilties when using different liners and lipsticks to pair it with. i see how some people are playing it "safe" with the plum n pink liners to make it more wearable...outside lol. i know some folks will be scared to step out the box with this color  but now im ready for this infamous lavender whip everyone keeps raving about

I'm also going to pair the Revlon Lilac gloss with my Nicki2. It looks good on you.

I hardly ever buy backups but a few months ago I bought a backup of that Revlon gloss just in case it wasn't permanent.

I've decided to not buy the lipstick and/or gloss yet. I'm going to wait until the holiday collection is released to see how these items will be repackaged and will buy it then. That's going to take some serious willpower on my part. November is 9 months away.

Hopefully it will be a pretty packaging.I am going to get a BU then.I would have gotten the GD set too because I really love

Nicki 1 but I did not like the bag that came with this set enough to justify a purchase.

Lilac Pastelle by Revlon is one of my favorite glosses....I wear it alone or over top lipstick and keep like 5 in the stash just in case Revlon decides to discontinue it.

Nicki 1 but I did not like the bag that came with this set enough to justify a purchase.

I hope the packaging is pretty as well. I don't see myself needing a BU, so I'm going to tough it out and wait. I bought Nicki 1 on the first day that it launched. I only new it was LE at the time. I didn't know then that it would be available for a year and that they repackage the Viva Glam lipsticks for the holidays. I probably would've waited for that lipstick, too.

OK, as promised, Famously Fab gloss and Viva Glam Nicki 2 gloss. It's kinda grumpy out today, so my skin color is almost the right color for a change (it usually ends up looking too dark and yellow), but there's a bit of diffused glare.

In their tubes, FF on the left, VG N2 on the right:

On my inner arm, FF on the top, VG N2 on the bottom:

FF is darker and redder, while VG N2 is lighter and cooler. FF also has "pearl" in it. If this swatch shot sucks too much, let me know and i can try again.

that is some great will power but since i play into the hype i couldn't wait lol. GREAT IDEA to wait for the holiday collection. i dnt think i'll do a BU of either of the nicki's becuz even she'll get retired next year wont they still make the VG perm??? i cant wait to see who'll be next up to rep the VG FAM!! yes nov is 9 months away-thats how i feel as i countdown to my drag cruise

yup there was. both are still on the mac website
