soo i justmy nicki today.... woah talk about powdered donut with a hint of lavender lmao lol i didnt think it was going to be too crazy but def is.  I would have to play around a little more with it because i do want it to work.

I got both N2 lipstick and gloss. I didn't find either one to be milky - and i dislike a lot of MAC opaque glosses because of their milkiness on me.

 

But i would say the lip gloss is much more versatile and wearable for people who don't want to wear something a bit... unusual... extreme... pale...

I think a lip liner or lipstick in another related color will probably help.

 

I'm not a big lip liner kinda guy, although i'm trying to play with them more (YMMV). But I sometimes do a 2-lipstick thing - put on one lipstick leaving the center of my lips uncolored, put a second lipstick in the center, then blend where the colors meet with a finger tip...

VG N2 lipstick is noticeably bluer compared to St. Germain. I don't like SG on me, but i'm happy with N2.

It doesn't look all that good in the beginning of the video but it looks much better later in the video. I sub to her too.

Just picked up NYX pencil in Purple so I can try this. I also picked up one in Prune and one of the NYX auto lip pencils in Plum so I can play around to see how they all work with VGN2.

I hope they work well! I've been wearing this lip combination since Sunday. I like it so far. I haven't tried it with other liners.

Thanks. I also have no problem using eye pencils on the lips. As a matter of fact I bought WnW's purple eyeliner specifically for lip use.

I am not a fan of having to use a lipgloss to make a lipstick work, but if you really want the product (its for a for a good cause), sometimes you can layer gloss on top and cancel out an unflattering tone--e.g. I like to layer a pink gloss over some of my nude lippies if they pull to orange on me but sometimes that is more work than I want to do (or if jacks up the finish) so I just wait for a color I do like that I don't have to mess with.  I think we just have to wait for the bloggers to do some swatches on the lips to know before we try it.  I am not sure layering any gloss over a lippy that has too much white pigmentation will fix it, so if I see lip swatches that look like concealer lips, I will know to skip this one, but I am trying to keep an open mind until I see those swatches.

I love VG N2 with NYX Dolly Pink l/l....If you want to darken it use a darker l/l or e/l.....With makeup there are no rules in my book.

 

Options:

 

MAC Magenta...which I don't prefer because, I kinda like the true color look.

NYX Dolly Pink (The Fave)

NYX Purple Rain

NYX  Plum

MAC Plum

NYX Natural

 

or a lilac colored lip pencil

 

 

If you have a darker skin tone

 

MAC Currant

MAC Cork

MAC Plum

NYX Plum

NYX Purple Rain

 

I guess it just depends on how you want to tone it down.

i use that raggedy azz mac resort eye kohl liner on my lips!! it was HORRIBLE as an eye liner

I hear ya. I love the swatches but I'm in no hurry to buy this. Would probably get something that would look good on me that I don't have in the permanent line. The permanent lipsticks don't get as much love. lol

Hey all! Just wanted to slip in my photo with Nicki 2 for my fellow palies. I'm ~NW20 right now. I put Pagoda cremesheen glass over the top which makes it pull sliiiiightly more pink, but it's a great pairing! I haven't figured out the best way to wear just the ls without a "flat" effect to it but I have some new liners coming soon so I will play and report back!

Thanks Kiki and you know what else VG NICKI2 lipglass over UP THE AMP is bangin' as well!!!

 

I think my fave combo's are NYX Dolly Pink and MAC Plum for the VG NICKI2 l/s...I'ma try some more out and see ; )
