And I like the shadow as well - but like you, I'm not sure how often I would reach for it, but as a blush it would be interesting.

I should get mine today or Wed. Did you get it from BG? I am glad it is like the EL. I have the Guerlain Cruel Gardinia, LM Rose R , Lancome Holiday and now this.  also have EL Tease coming!

I have a HL obsession! lol

Here is a review of the powder.

http://bestthingsinbeauty.blogspot.ca/2013/01/mouche-de-beaute-illuminating-powder.html

My powder didn't have the odd discolouration of the overspray like hers. I haven't use the powder because I don't want to spoil the beautiful design. The little bug in the middle is very charming.

Cheryl - Enjoy Nacree! This Versailles powder is very slighly more tan than Nacree. I haven't bought Nacree although I was crazily in love after swatching it the first time.

No, I ordered mine from ebay - I didn't think it was available here in the US -

I have all of the h/l you mention too girlhaha.gif.  I don't know what my fascination is, but I am certainly not alone, am I?  friends.gif

Thanks for the link!  I might be able to skip Versaille then - I like the slight rose tone of this one - more tan might make me look 'dirty' (one of the challenges I have with some bronzy-type products).  It is so pretty though, and I love the bug!!!

Oh sorry doll, I was talking about the Versaille! LOL. I love HL's so damn much. I have the 2 Dior Lace ones, Chanel pearl, ons of old LE Chanel ones I never use cause they are 2 pretty. I like collecting them? !

Which powder are you talking about? :)

I'm referring to the Poudre Lumiere Nacree, which I think was an Asia exclusive....it's an illuminating powder very similar to the EL Modern Mercury......

I saw on the Guerlain thread that you ordered your Sakura blushes - are you in Europe?  I'm so anxious to see if it comes to the US!!!  Winthrop said that Izzy's will get it this spring, but I'm hoping we can have broader access to it.....fingers crossed!!!

Is Nacree the same thing as the Mouche powder? I'm so confused about this. As I was saying in the Chanel thread, I called my local Saks & Neiman's & they had absolutely no idea (or willpower) to figure out what I was referring to. I asked about the Vesailles collection & nada, no idea. They both asked if I was talking about the one that is out now for the Spring.

I have a serious lemming for Guerlain Cruel Gardenia & Laura Mercier Rose Rendezvous...I would love to get this or either one of those ***sighs****! & this looks beautiful as well.

I just want to know if this is even worth me trying to save for...if its unattainable like the aforementioned ones I don't want to get my hopes up.

The counter SA never ever know anything about anything sigh.gif

I probably shouldn't look either of those ^^ 2 up. I have no idea about Mouche powder. Sorry

Mouche De Beaute on the Chanel web site (not US site) under collection Maquillage Croisiere De Chanel and the Nacree was on a site called Joey's Space. They appear to be two different illuminators.

Spanky, Best Things in Beauty featured the Mouche de Beaute powder, and mentions where it can be purchased if you are in the US. Read the comments as well as the text:

She says that Nordstrom in Seattle just got it in. I really need to start working downtown. I would love to see this in person before buying it (it's just a pain to get to for me), so I hope the other Nordies in will be getting it.

I can't order it thru a boutique because I haven't "visited a Chanel boutique before"... Really, this is a ridiculous policy. If they don't have a 'boutique' in my city than how can I ever buy something exclusive to boutique shoppers???

Perhaps this is a good thing..I'm very turned off by this policy. I have so much on my mind right now & this is pushing my buttons.

Thanks Medgal, Elegant One & Winthrop for your help.

Where I work we're not supposed to help customers over the phone that are not "our clients" to prevent people buying a whole bunch of stuff with a stolen credit card and having it shipped anywhere they like.

Even though they are Chanel cosmetics, they are still a hot commodity and can be easily resold. Even though it's a frustrating policy, I understand why it's in place. Call a Nordies, they're usually nicer about things like that.

So I feel like a dummy. Its the same powder with 3 different names attached to it lol.gif I just hadn't noticed that amuse.gif

I know! I am a Chanel handbag and accessory buyer and am in their system, so I can order and do. It is crazy! But they can not ship classic flap bags, you have to go in person.

If anyone needs anything, pease let me know. I have done cp's for boutique exclusives before. Damn Chanel and exclusitivity. sp? LOL

Hi Hun, I am in the states on the east coast.  I got a CP for the blush from my UK friend, I need more for friends. :(

She was only able to get 2 and I promised 3 people. OY!

I hope she scores more in person this weekend.

Yes, the powder you got is soo pretty, it is like the LA Blanc Perle from 2 years ago, but rosier. I got the Versailles. I want the one you got too. I have a highlighter problem!  Oh and EL Tese Blush is soo fab, you need that too! :)

^^  I have EL Tease and find it noworry.gif.  I think I'm 'too old' for it - it's too frosty for me.  I haven't played around with it since the first time I used it, so perhaps it's something I need to work with.  I did send my backup back yesterday though - more for others :).

I'm really hoping this comes to the US!!

My Saks SA just got in stock for the Mouche de Beaute Powder! Just PM me and I'll send you her details if you're interested. I know that she also has the pink eye shadow. I don't know about anything else.

I also got my powder from Bergdorf's as I mentioned above.

I love Tease, I am not young, but it gives me a fresh glow to the skin! :)

You got a back up? I was thinking of one, one to use and another to keep pristine!

Winthrop, where are you? I need you to talk me out of it. hehe

I only got one. My wallet talked me out of getting a BU. lecture.gif

I am very frustrated right now.  I called my local Chanel make up studio in South Coast Plaza, and of course no one knew anything about this collection.  First they tried to tell me that it didn't exist, then I was told that it "may" exist but that it was a non-US country exclusive, and so on...

Watch I will visit there this weekend, and the collection will be hidden in a drawer somewhere.

I LOVE Tease--the formula is super soft and it blends really well.  When I first saw it, that beautiful pink shade drew me right in.  I also have all three of the other EL illuminators, so I wasn't exactly a tough sell.

girlhaha.gif

Maybe I need to take another run at Tease - I haven't sent my backup back yet - not sure I'm going to need it though, since there's quite a bit in the pan to begin with.

I'll give it another whirl or two and see how I like it.  Heck, I'm keeping it, why not?

I wonder if they're going to launch more colors with this formula?  I know they re-did all of their blushes last year, but this formula seems to be so popular, I don't know why they don't do more of it....perhaps the production costs are too high.

Wow, Medgal, you have 3 of the Modern Mercuries?  I was under a rock somewhere when that came out, but a dear Specktra member got one for me, so I didn't miss out completely.

Haven, I hope you find the collection - why do these SAs have to be so darn clueless?  wondering.gif

More pictures of the powder and the spring powder! (Not my blog)

http://indigo-kir-royale.blogspot.sg/2013/01/photo-book-touch-of-royalty-with-chanel.html?m=1

I wore the powder yesterday by very lightly sweeping my brush over it. I don't want to spoil the beautiful print. Worn lightly, the shimmer is very beautiful. Modern Mercury is more tan.

Here are my pictures of the powder and with MM side by side;.

I can't decide if I need this. I have the spring highlighter but this one looks so pretty. I may just order Tease as well.

They are very different, although priced the same lol. The spring highlighter is ivory, while this is rose gold. I also can't decide if I need the spring highlighter because it is too pretty to use!

I LOVE Modern Mercury...so much so that I can see more than 50% pan.  Saddens me because I didn't back it up--I rarely back any thing up, and MM is one item that I wish I had.  Nothing before or since...not even Chanel's Poudre Signe goes on as smooth and blends as well as MM.

wow really? I typically ignore ALL estee Lauder products.  (yes I know they own mac) I just never paid attn to them.

Well, damn. I think I need this now. It never, ever ends ohboy.gif
post #60 of 89

I've just found out this existed and have no idea if we're getting it in the UK or not. Also if and when we do, it's most likely to be a Selfridges/Harrods exclusive. *sigh* Well, I'm going to London on the 10th February, if it's out by then and still available, I will definitely get it, it's so pretty. Shontay, you're right, it never ends....
