NARS "The Happening" Eye and Cheek Palette (limited edition)

Hello everyone, and Merry Christmas! :)

I have some good news for you!

NARS will apparently release on January 1st, 2013 a limited edition eye and cheek palette (yes, Orgasm is there) called "The Happening".

It's like the Debbie Harry palette with 2 large sections on the left and right, and 4 eyeshadow shades in the middle.

700

Orgasm (left) -  Night Star / Corfu / Coconut Grove / Kuala Lumpur II - Laguna (right)

Merry Christmas :)

Nars smh. So many beautiful cheek colors and they choose sparkly Orgasm and invisible Laguna again.

I thought I was the only one who found Laguna to be a dud. Doesn't work on me either and neither does Orgasm. I'll have to pass.

Laguna is stunning on lighter skin tones.

Lol, I guess Orgasm = MAC's Carbon. They put it in everything.

Orgasm and Laguna are both too warm on me, but those shadows look really enticing. Trying to remind myself that I need to save up for all the Spring collections. Thanks Marie for the heads' up!!

Apparently the 4 eyeshadow shades are Night Star, Corfu, Coconut Grove, and Kuala Lumpur II.

I hope that this is a powder version of Corfu, otherwise every other powder in the pan would stick to the cream. :/

Wasted potential, NARS. Ditch Orgasm and I probably would have snapped this up.

i was thinking something similar except i would be okay with orgasm but wanna ditch laguna and have casino instead...

I don't have Orgasm at all. I refuse to buy it because I'm pretty sure I'll eventually get it for free as a promo item, or it will be in some palette that I want to get.

same here.

I don't have Orgasm either, but I've tried it and I didn't have one so... Like y'all I'm sure I'll get it for free elsewhere. I think I've picked up Laguna for free, too, and gave it to my daughter. I can't remember if she prefers Casino or Laguna. I think Casino if that was in the Danmari palette. She dropped the palette and that shade broke.

It's in the Spring 2013 thread. Release date of February in France. I don't know about the other countries, or if it's a Sephora-exclusive there. I guess it's best to contact your local NARS customer service, or local Sephora. :)

Hopefully the Sephora palette finds its way to the US. I really like that one. I'm not quite sure if this one is an absolute must for me, but I like that it could be a nice running-late-for-work and have-to-do-my-makeup-in-a-fitting-room kind of pallet. I wish they would ease up on the Orgasm though.

NARS, you have lots of pretty blushes, Orgasm is not the only thing that people enjoy.

I could NOT find this on the Barney's website😕.

I saw it there a few days ago, but it will be coming to Nordstrom for their Beauty Spring Runway thing which should be coming up pretty soon.

i think so too.  i got both orgasm and laguna mini's "free" and they don't really work for me.  Laguna is not for my tone (not sure that casino is either but I'll try it out eventually). Orgasm can be a golden highlighter but i don't use it so I will pass on this beautiful palette.

It was when I posted the link. I don't know why it's not available anymore after a few days. :(

I think Barney's took it off because it's technically not supposed to be out yet. I saw that they also pulled the light reflecting loose powder and Neiman Marcus took their light reflecting powder off their site as well.

I really want this pallet too. It will be perfect for on the go.

So we just have to (im)patiently wait.

I do have the joie de vivre palette with both orgasm and Laguna. They both work for me and this seems super convenient. Basically all your powders in one. I'm tempted. I'm really curious to know which colors are in the sephora exclusive eye palette.

Oh girl....Don't tell me about more palettes!LOL😄 I am going to be broke! Between MAC Archie's Girl Collection and NARS-😮

Does anyone know about upcoming collections or palettes? Will Nordstrom and Sephora carry The Happening palette?

Thank you for the explanations, that makes sense. :)

All information available are on Specktra.net, in the various topics of the NARS section. There is a gift set called God Created Woman that will be Sephora exclusive in France (but I don't know about the other countries). It contains a 6-eyeshadow palette, an eyshadow primer and a #3 eye shader brush.

Please make sure to check the various threads for pictures and information. :)

this palette is available at the nars boutique in nyc. there was one left as of this past thursday. they might do charge sends? it's worth a try! hth!

as for the palette itself, i love the smaller size and the absence of lipsticks since i never used them anyway. i'm disappointed that orgasm and laguna are included yet again, but as a nars palette hoarder, i am resigned to this. the eyeshadows are great: soft texture and nice pigmentation. no issues with chalkiness that so many people were complaining about with the debbie harry palette.

Thank you for the information and review, nakedlunch212. :D

Can you confirm that Corfu was made into a powder eyeshadow for this palette?
