Better keep your wave 1 basics in box!! They're super valuable!

I have all of mine in my photobucket album (along with my action figures and the one Bleeding Edge Goth doll I have). I think it's updated, but I feel like I'm forgetting one. Ah well. I have all my girls out and chilling sitting down together on my shelf. Also my Venus McFlytrap box was wrecked in transit so there no point in keeping her in the box.

 

Does anyone else hate how they box/punch the dolls to stay in place. What sort of maniac punches a person through their head. lol

 

But seriously they make the packing so difficult with the white punch tabs which are evil and cheap way of doing it. Smarter designer toy brands us clear twist ties.

I still haven't decided which doll to open, But I really want to!!

I'm only 12, plus 9 of them belong to my 10 year-old sister so she demands they be opened... xD

I don't think I would have my dolls any other way. xD

Thanks :)  Yeah, I am. I had the urge to open them, also, so I just bought one of the CAM packs and used those instead haha. It sort of satisfied the urge haha. My main concern is that my room is such a wreck (I keep meaning to clean it... ^.^;; ) and my cats like to walk all over my furniture, if I open them they may will definitely end up destroyed. I actually have two of the black and white Frankie, so I guess if I ever did decide to open one, it would be one of those. My suggestion to you is to buy two of one of the dolls and open one up, that way you can still have the other one boxed.

That's my problem too, we are remodeling our home and I do not have a proper place to display them. I teach 3rd grade, and every month or so I take different dolls to school and display them on top of my cabinets in the classroom. The students (mostly the girls) LOVE this! They get so excited on the day I swap them out :)

I'm lucky that I get to share them with my students :)

 

It's great that you guys share the collection! I'd love to have someone who enjoys collecting MH dolls as much as me.

I'm sure you girls have an awesome time hunting for new dolls together!

 

I guess that's why I like sharing and reading comments from these forums. Even though I don't have a buddy IRL to collect with, I get really excited to see what all the "ghouls" here find and post!

It is quite nice, because the dolls that arn't mine ARE mine in some way, because I have acsess to them. One of the reasons they come out of the box is to be photographed, the dolls love it when I take photos of them and put them on my flickr. xD

 

I kidda dragged my sister into it when I said I wanted a Toralei... xD I showed her what it was all about... And she still couldn't decide which doll she wanted! xD In the end, I had Toralei for Christmas and she had SS Draculaura for Easter. 

Hopefully if Mattel fulfills it's promise of the last wave of re-releases you can have another Basic Frankie to photograph.

I really like the CAM's (please don't judge me for naming them) & werecats. Anyone seen the new CAM's and Catrine DeMew? I'm going to drive my husband to drink over them.

I was originally going to keep them in their boxes but then my husband encouraged me to open them to display. I also was a lil ashamed to be over 25 & obsessed with these guys. I was excited to find this forum & learn I wasn't alone. Ive also managed to corral my best friend into finding these guys for me. She actually found Jinafire & Skelita for me.

Regarding Catrine DeMew....
"She will be released in February and will be a Walmart exclusive. Her fictional debut will be in "Scaris: City of Frights" in Early 2013, where she'll likely meet the Monster High crew as they visit a museum in Scaris."

Counted and I have 74-76 dolls, good grief. I didn't count the cams either.

 

How come some are nude?

I like experimenting with outfits on each ghoul but just to keep my sanity. I keep all their clothing and accessories bagged.

my daughter is the owner of 'our' collection, lol so they are all in boxes on top of her book shelves. i did take pics of them the other day but cant find them on my computer ill have to re take them...we still really need scaris dolls, skellita was one we both really wanted so thinking we will grab two of her, and noticing mad science dollas at wally world this past week, so trying to see which ones we might need..

Oh, ok. I was just a little curious. I don't own any MH dolls...yet. I first knew of Monster High when I was browsing Amazon, probaly when Wave 1 Ghoulia was released. Yes, I'm only 11. My Canadian friend had a bald Wave 1 Draculaura with no legs and hands, which she tossed in the trash. I live outside the USA but I study in an IB school in Laos. I come from Vietnam, i speak fluent English and I share a doll obsession with my mom who's 53!
