Yeah, there have been such huge changes in technology and materials supply the past few years, there was no way the costs weren't going to get passed on to the consumer. We're getting towards the end of the totally disposable makeup era, I'm afraid.

IKR!

In that case I'll wait to see swatches and reviews.

That's not good thmbdn.gif

I never had the inclination to buy any Sheen Supremes even though I adore some of the colours. The testers are just too squishy!

That's weird!  If they're perm why wouldn't we get the PRO discount??  That doesn't make any sense to me!

Good question, but I don't have the answer shrugs.gif

Maybe because of the fancier packaging?

Can't wait to see but happy I can take my time.

Glad I can wait to try one (or more) out!!

So, knowing that these are a bit bigger than normal MAC lipsticks, I wonder how much bigger?  If it's significantly more product plus an amazing (and I mean earth-shattering) new formula, maybe the price increase will almost be justified...

I do love magnetic closures- they're such a great little feature. I'll be curious to hear reviews of the formula when it comes out. I think that the price increase does fit with Mac's overall effort to move into the high-end world. The fact that they're permanent explains why the colour choices are more "safe"- things that will sell regularly over time.

So glad to hear that they are permanent!

I don't know why people twist lipsticks way up to put them on. Sure, glamorous actresses twisted them way up in old movies - back when lipsticks were made of wax and colored carmine with cochineal (laq-producing insects).

But times have changed. When i put on any lipstick, i barely twist it up much at all. All you need for your lips is just enough past the end of the tube so your lips don't touch the tube.

Seriously!

I can't count the number of times custies would twist it all the way up, just to swatch it on their hand! Then they'd stick the tube back in the displayer, still twisted up. I'd pick it right back up and twist it back to how it was, but they never got the point. People have no common sense.

People are so damn stupid. You can't help but notice once you've worked in retail. *rolls eyes*

I love how Posh Tone, a complete and utter nude, looks so warm and flattering. :) I hope the other colors are as flattering on warm skin tones.
