I love pale pastels on dark skinned gals who work it with attitude too! girl_devil.gif

My only question with the lipsticks in this collection is: are they going to be too similar to Quite Cute and others. Pure Decoration sure sounds like Playing Koi and Raspberry Swirl's description makes it sound like quite a few we've seen. Still, it's those subtle undertones that make or break colors like these, so the jury's out for me. I adore Playing Koi and Quite Cute and Double Spin, even if there are times in the year I can wear them better than others - when they work, they work hard! Even still, I'm not running out of any of them…..

For sure, I'll be snagging the MLBs, I'm really happy with my Apres Chic ones and use them just about every day - my lips were in pretty poor shape after a bad cold and now they're nice and healthy.

I love the sound of the Pearlmattes, but I'll have to try them on my skin before I buy. If they've changed a bit from previous ones, I'd be interested for sure.

Very interested in Devil's Food if it's got the same type of finish as Warm Companion - that'd be gorgeous!

Liba, are you going in to swatch pre-launch? If you do, I'd love to know what you think of the blush and pearlmattes. I know our skin is different but I'm interested in knowing whether the PM could act as blush (doesn't look like it, but it's hard to know just how pigmented the hearts are) and how different to the many recent coral blushes Betty's is. :)

I usually get to see everything in advance, but this April I might be out of town for a couple of weeks amazed.gif

I hope I don't miss seeing everything beforehand, that's for sure. I really rely on those little backroom sessions for my own shopping, not to mention having fun gabbing about everything and comparing notes with everyone.

Ditto!  Also, I love Paint Pots.  Dangerous Cuvee & Let's Skate are repromotes.  I start with a very conservative list and then end up with way more then I'd intended.  At least I make an effort !

I am so excited about this collection! sweets and pastels...uuuuh my faveheart.gif

I decided I could skip let's skate due to my other pink cream shadows. saves me a little bit of money yahoo.gif

This is my realistic list.  the lipsticks are a maybe it depends on how light they are.  The mineralize lip balms I love but if they are too light I don't need them all.  The pearlmatte is a maybe.  This might not be so bad for me

What eyeshadows look good over a chocolate colored base like the Eclair paint pot?

Probablly colors like Mulch, Carbonized and etc...  i think it would look good on it's own as well.

I bet layering gold, oranges and sheer colors like flicker would be pretty too.

i think all i want from this collection is eclair and devil's food. chocolate!

Perhaps lavender whip and devil's food for me, and maybe a pearl Matte. Not so bad! Devil's food is a frost, I don't own any lipsticks in that finish , are they any generally "good"?

I really can't wait for the promo pics and swatches to come out for this collection!  I'm especially curious to see the pearlmattes.  They sound soooo pretty!  If I'm mesmerized by them, I might have to buy one or both, even though I've never tried a pearlmatte in my life, lol.

It is very hard - almost impossible - to capture a swatch of a pearlmatte in a photograph. While you can do a heavier swatch with your fingers, it does not reflect at all how it is supposed to be applied nor does it capture how it will come out on skin. It's really a product that one needs to test in store (with a brush!).

Which brushes work best with Pearlmattes in your experience? Would a regular powder brush do or do they need something more specialised?

You want a firm brush as the pearlmattes are extremely hard pressed. For highlighting, I'd use the 169 (the 168 is way too soft, which results in zero color pay off). Alternatively, the 128 might work, but as it is not angled, it's not ideal (though it is certainly firm enough). For an all-over application, I'd use the 183. Although the hair is soft, it works well as it is flat and short, which allows (a) the brush to pick up enough product and (b) deposit the pigment on your skin rather than being stuck on the bristles.

Lol I never thought of it that way but that makes SO much sense...
