I've turned into a lipstick mad woman but don't know if I will be purchasing any of these even though I really want to try lavender whip. I've found that I really enjoy matte, amplified and satin lipsticks because they look best on my small lips. Creamsheen or anything glossier makes my looks appear smaller. The only creamsheen that looks nice on me is Apres Chic!

Yeah I don't think I'll be picking any lipsticks except for (a big maybe) lavender whip. Swatches would help.
Pearlmattes too I'm not sure about. Have both YOTS-SP and Flatter Me and those would be around for a looong time since I use them sparingly.
How do you store and use them? My bare study is still usable, but it's hardened

thank you for answering!!! good to know. I have always been into makeup but i never had enough to be concerned about as far as things expiring. Now with all these MAC collections i'm buying way more than i could use in a short time LOL I know a lot of stuff lasts very very long it's just the PP and lipsticks that i was worrying about. 2 of my lipsticks have some sort of disgusting white coating over them already. MAC syrup and venus. both are less than 6 months old and kept with all the other lipsticks. They are probably the most used too but these are the only 2 that have it. I wiped them with alcohol but i'm concerned about buying too many now.
...only a year ago i had only 3 lipsticks
now i have about 50

Yes! You just put into words what I haven't been able to for YEARS. I detest any sort of glossy type finish as my lips look smaller. They also lose definition, with or without liner, and I like my lips well defined.

When using the PPs, always keep them covered. After opening and getting product out, flip the jar upside down on a tissue. This will keep it from being exposed to air while you're applying it. Then flip it back over to get more product out for the other eye. Ten put the lid on it right away. Make sure the lid is on tight! Same goes for the fluidlines!

any tips you can give on lipsticks? i'm concerned i'm buying too many since 2 of my MAC lustres have this weird white coating. they aren't that old and are stored and used the same as all the others. i'm wondering how i can prevent this as I would like to get a BU of a lipstick one day but if it's going to go bad it's not worth it for me. i know they don't last forever but at least for a year or 2.
i have a few high end lipsticks for over 6 years which smell and look just as they did when i bought them it's just the 2 MAC ones. they are all in my vanity, in my bedroom, kept at normal temperature etc

I never go without lip liner. Nice to know someone else feels the same way I do!

This was actually being discussed in another thread (don't ask me which one...there have been too many to keep up with lately, lol). Someone started calling it "snow" on the lipsticks. Erine (or maybe Mac-Guy? I know they both gave some input on it) gave a thorough explanation for why this happens sometimes, which I don't remember well enough to repeat here. I'll try to find the exact post and link you to it. But the important thing to know is that it's not anything that will harm you. It tends to happen with the lustre finish lipsticks, which both of the ones you mentioned are.
ETA: Yes, both of them mentioned it, but Mac-Guy gave the detailed explanation I was thinking of here: Post #3601 http://www.specktra.net/t/181169/mac-strength-collection-discussion-december-2012/3600#post_2320250

Hehe yup that was me that called it that

The snow just occurs on the lustres. It doesn't mean it's gone bad, but you can't prevent it. Just wipe off the snow and apply as usual.

I want about 13 items in all of those collections and maybe PRO Lip Palette in March, but the Mineralize lipsticks can wait.

Edit: I came back and took another look at the pic this morning. It's a definite skip for me - this doesn't come anywhere near my 2013 'must love' criteria. I'm in the clear this spring then - I'm only interested in Zestful and the 235 before the big summer collection. Have fun hauling!

Thanks for posting the pic, Kathy. I'll reserve judgment until I see more pics, but that isn't as cute as I expected/pictured in my head. It looks a bit old ladyish to me, although i guess it's supposed to be a cupcake. I really don't need any more highlighters, so unless I get more drawn to these I'll be skipping this collection.

I just saw this on MakeupAlley, from 'Simplymac'
I hope it is okay for me to post it, I just got so excited when I saw it!
She wrote it was In for a Treat, for IMO it looks more like the other one? the leaves look periwinkle rather than mint.
Either way, I do really like the design!
Gorgeous! It looks just like the top of a decorated cupcake! I have a feeling these are going to sell out fast.
