I agree with you. I would have preferred a more modern design, but hey, it fits the theme and I still can picture it in my stash. Awaiting swatches to determine if I need both. Probably yes...

Well, i just took a peek at the promo pic, and the design in the compact matches the design on the cake in the photo...

ummm, no.

I love pearlmattes but I still have plenty of my two from vera. I can wait for something I like better.

Oh, that's right, I didn't even notice. The decor on the left cake is much prettier IMO, I would've preferred that design.

now I'm kind of wishing they made one with a Whip cream and a Cherry on top. I can feel sugar cravings coming on.

I agree. Maybe they'll do the other PM with that design? 

Hoping swatches and more product pics surface soon! I feel like there's so much I want so far. I'm really loving the model's lip in the promo pic.

Maybe that will be the design for the coral flowers/mint leaves PM. I hope so! Much cuter! I would definitely buy that one :)

This is what I was thinking, as well. The colors on the other design look like they could be a little coral/minty in different lighting.

Agreed! It seems likely that the other PM will look like the other cake.. I really hope so too!

I was originally picturing something like the new Lise Watier compact.. which I love the design of - it's more intricate.

Moral of the story? I'm so glad I didn't skip Veronica's Blush for this!!

What I like about this Pearlmatte is THERE IS A TON OF PERIWINKLE IN THERE!!! 

I thought there would be teeny tiny little leaves with the blue - not enough to really change the color at all, and here we have THIS BLUENESS!!

This is totally a good thing - I'm much more excited for this powder now than I was before, plus I'm happy that it's very different from Veronica's Blush.

This is very pretty. I had never heard of Lise Watier before. Now I am intrigued. I also had thought Baking Beauties bp would look similar, but I'm happy with what I saw.

I'm thinking about getting one of each lipstick. I really want lavender whip. I have viva glam nick 2 and I love it so much.

This collection sound yum!

I'm loving the lippies, I would get them all but I'm not feeling the frosty plum one..

the rest of them sounds like my cup of tea.. I might be even backing them up..))

I visited my local MAC counter today and my favorite MUA told me about this collection. She said it's very reminiscent of the Quite Cute collection....girly with pastel-like shades. Lavender whip is coming back out in this one as well (not sure if this will be the lipstick or glass and i didn't ask since i'm not too crazy about it anyways). The release date for this @ Macy's MAC counters (and i'm assuming all other department store counters) will be April 18.

why are you excited for the periwinkle? 

those of you who know a lot about color correctrs, can you tell us what each one will do?

From what I understand, blue is supposed to brighten up fair skin tones and add more radiance.

I think that might very well be the case since the design on the cake actually has coral flowers and minty leaves!

Also with the rose color and that soft taupe-y pinkish background color, plus the white border, I think when swirled together it's going to make a color that will be like a much more complex Superb or Semi-Precious Crystal Pink - my fine art background is telling me it's going to have a rich glowing quality that will be awesome for skin with a bit of a sallow or olive cast - like the types of skin tones that can't always pull off baby pink blush, plus I suspect it will be quite good for de-emphasizing freckles.

Ooh, I think that we're onto something with the design of the 2nd pearlmatte! That mint and coral cake looks really pretty, I can't wait to see what the PM looks like!
