Its up on Chanel.com
Made me laugh - it says Easter not Eastern on the np bottle
it does say that!!!!! The actual bottles do say, Eastern though..I hope..at least the ones on Makeup Blogette do :D

Go for it.
LMdB isn't at all Nordstroms and the new palette is not out at Nordstrom yet. LiveChat said they were definitely getting it, but my SA called 4 different stores and they said there's no LMdB rep it's just on an endcap so no one knows anything about it. It's on the NM website now though.
Did you see this:

Nope, Rads. Thanks for posting the link!
ETA: Those readers are strange. One of them called the blogger's recommended SA who's told her the palette is sold out. He's putting them on a list and asking the company to produce more. (Really? a company will make more of a product b/c an SA asks them to?
) All the while this palette is ready to purchase from NM online with free shipping. I don't get it...
btw the swatches are nice, but I'd prefer to see them on your pretty skin.

Oh..I didn't check the comments earlier! That is really the oddest thing I have heard/read..."to produce more" ??!!!! He (or the person commenting) probably meant he will "order" more?? :D :D Someone has added in a link to the NM site there....."If you're dying to get your hands on it"....
......
I ordered some Chanel products from Saks after reading about it there - and to be fair, I didn't order it right away so am not blaming anyone here - but my local Nordstrom counter had everything available (and I did swatch most of it there) long before my order reached me. It's just that most of us get so excited about all these products, we don't realize if we wait a day or two we can actually just buy it in person at a counter :D :D :D I did get a cute white pouch and some samples, though...Nordstrom never gives me anything :|
I doubt if I would ever get that palette...I do like all the browns and bronzes in there - won't use all the colors though. I wonder why they don't have those kaleidoscope things with empty slots so we can build our own custom palette of sorts..won't that be awesome?
Charleston Girl just said Nordies will not be getting the palette, but when I did LiveChat the SA said they had just spoken to the LMdB Rep on Monday and was told they would be getting the palette. The Chat SA knew all about the palette and was really excited. She said only a select few Nordstrom stores would be getting it. I was given the number to Fashion Island.
Btw, I thought I read somewhere that you could create your own kaleidoscopes in store. Please don't quote me on that. Maybe call a counter and see.
I love receiving samples although I rarely use them. Isn't that odd? I don't have any of these major department stores in my state so I always have to buy online. I do work with a Nordstrom SA by phone who is across the country. She puts samples in my packages for me. TONS of them.

You probably shop with the same SA/store quite often, so they would be more than happy to give you samples, I guess. I buy online from the Chanel website most of the time....not so much at the store - most times I just swatch and walk away....I amn't surprised the SA there never looks too excited to see me :P :P :D But I have bought a couple of times and never got anything...and get charged for the bag too (is hardly anything..but still). We don't get charged for those Chanel paper bags in India...is that something very common here?
I asked the "cute guy" SA at my Nordstrom about custom palettes, and he said that option isn't available currently....I thinkkkkkkkkkk he mentioned that you could pop out and change shadows in the kaleidoscopes, though you couldn't buy it with your own choice of shades...I amn't too sure..fuzzzzy memory :D The Nordstrom near my place, they get a LOT of the new products way before it shows up on the Nordies site. If I go there this weekend, I will stop by the counter and post an update here :)
Oh..I have to ask for samples??!! And you get TONS without asking :D :D So jealous! Heheee I love getting samplers too...is just so much fun even if it is something I already have :D I think the nicest ones I got were the lipstick samplers - Coco Shines and a couple of red ones from the Rouge Allure Intense range. Tiny little squares with a small brush. Very convenient for travel. Chanel online usually has the mascara and perfumes - I wish they had more options like how Sephora does.
The SA always asks me if I would be needing a bag to put everything in and that it is charged (10 cents, I think). I don't need a bag most times - I just throw them away once I get home - but it's so odd that they would want to charge that extra bit - unless it's to avoid unnecessary paper waste, like how a lot of stores do with plastic bags.

Oh I don't get Chanel samples from Nordies. Even when i was working directly with the counter manager. My SA works in Advanced Skin Care so I get Kate Sommerville, Arcona, Miracle Skin Transformer, etc. I "met" her when I was ordering NARS from the Anniversary sale. It is so tacky they charge you 10 cents for a bag when you are buying something. It would turn me off from shopping there.
The Hong Kong palette does look quite basic. I'm sure we all have colors similar to what they're offering. I think I'm going to pass on it.

So how confident are we that this palette will show up in a store somewhere? I really would rather swatch in person before buying for $80.
Plus I just got the LMdB palette with a lot more shadows in it for only $15 more. Makes me wonder if this new Chanel palette is really necessary.
I think they'll start to pop up in more Saks stores, but I'm not sure.

I passed on the palette. I'm only interested in the polishes. I'm still waiting for Saks Chevy Chase to get Eastern Light.

I don't really buy much from that counter anyway :P :D Oh...Karen has swatches of the palette...she manages to make everything sound/look amazing, but I am happy skipping this one....saving more for the collections coming up in April.

I saw the collection at Chanel Studio! Love the palette! I ended up with it, after the MA used it on me to do a smokey look. She used the 1, 3 and 5 colours, the black waterproof eyeliner, Convoitise as the base and Myrifique to intensify the look. Stunning! The eyeshadows are all smooth, silky and pigmented. The colour you get is what you see in the pan. The white is gorgeous! I thought it might be too frosty or sheeny but it wasn't, just a pearly and luminous soft white. Western Light looked meh to me on the MA's nails and in the bottle, the shimmers did not show up. I did not see Eastern Light applied on the fingernail but it looks pretty from the reviews I've seen, not too stark.
I really do think texture/pigment-wise Chanel has much better shadows and palettes...but then, people say that about so many Chanel polishes too....:D
Rads, I know this is the Chanel thread, but I came across your review of Dior Creme Abricot. Do you still like it and recommend it? I'm thinking about investing in it for my dry cuticles.
Sorry didn't see this earlier! I love it, and it's really really good...but, I recently bought Nivea Lip Butter (it comes in a tin)...and I tried that on my cuticles, and that works too, and it cost me a grand total of $1 :D I hope I don't sound cuckoo for suggesting this, but do give the Nivea one a try and see if that helps. Of course the Dior version is better since it is meant for the cuticles only. It is quite heavy and feels quite balmy going on..and your fingers will be sticky for a while (which is why Dior recommends bedtime use I guess)...but really like it except, well it is pricey :P
Hi Ladies
I have not been on here in like forever and a day. So much has happened in my personal life that I can almost wonder how come I am still on planet earth.. but, since this is about cosmetics, in particular Chanel, I want to say I just saw the Spring 2013 colours -- and was not entirely impressed save a few ls.. but, none of the new Spring lines from any company are too exciting to me. I wish I could say it's my health (bad cold now) or my state of mind, but it's not. It's logic .. the offerings from many companies are the same as they have been predictably man seasons of springs/summers/fall/holidays.. etc. My work is in the future, with all economic aspects of the beauty industry, and maybe this taints/tints my perspective.
I just want to say, that I have missed you all and hope to come back with more frequency .. my life is still in flux and if I am not on an airplane, then I am stuck doing something else with mean deadlines.
With big hugs to all.. and hoping to stay in touch more
p.s. what happened to Specktra? the format looks cwazy
