age difference in siblings

does anyone else have a big age difference between them and their siblings?

my sister is 16 years older than me, making her 32 and my brother is 19 years older making him 35.

i think this is why i always seem to get along with people older than me. no matter where i go, i never seem to get along with people my own age, i'm always chatting it up with people a bit older than me. i'm not complaining though, people my age usually piss me off :-P

My brother is 10 years older than me, and my half brothers are 17, 20, and 23 years older than me. I'm realllllly close to the brother that's 10 years older...He practically raised me from the day I was born, so he's like a dad/brother/bestfriend =D

well i have two half brothers who are like in their 40's? lol and i'm only 17..and yes my daddy is 62 but he looks nothin like it!

My sister is 6 years older than me, and I look back at when I was your age, and I always got along better with older people. Not because of my sister, because of the maturity level I think. My sister and I never got along, and we still arent close at all.

You seem very mature to me, so I think thats why you get on well with older people

I'm the oldest of 3 girls. There is only a 2 year gap between me & the middle sister. The youngest is 7 years younger than me.

I'm probably closest to the middle sister. But when we were teenagers, boy would we go at it! That's the thing about sisters, you can yell and scream at each other, but you're still stuck with each other!

I remember I would always get mad b/c she would take my clothes w/o asking. She would put one of my shirts on under her shirt to sneak it out of the house.

On the otherhand, the youngest sister & I have NEVER had a single arguement!! We're just too far apart in age to have anything to argue about. Now that she's in college and turning into a fabulous young lady, we are starting to get closer as she matures.

I am the oldest of 3 children
My sister is 2 years younger and my brother is 7 years younger.
My sister and I love each but dont get along if we have to live with one another.
My little brother and I get a long GREAT. We hardly ever fight and when we say stuff to one another we dont really care. But he gets along with our sister the same way I do. She is like my mom. We love our mom, but just cant get along with her when we live with her.

My fiance comes from a family of 7, thats right I said seven.
His Eldest sister is from a first marriage of his mothers. She is 37. She is kinda the out cast but she has kinda put herself there.
Then all from the same parents
Sister 29
Brother 28
Sister 27
Then my Fiance 25
Brother 24 (Fiance & Younger brother BORN IN THE SAME YEAR, Jan then Dec 1981)
Then little baby sister is 18!

Now I have two lil girls and I would like to have one more but if I do I want it to be soon because I dont want a big gap difference.

I'm the oldest and my lil'sister is 9 years younger then I. We get along now, but when I was in my teens she annoyed the heck outta me! but now we're really close. She's a senior in High School and she talks to me about everything. I love it

yup, my brother is 45 and I'm 29 so that makes a difference of 16 years
my niece is 23 and she definitly feels more like a sister to me oh and she has a son which is reeeeaally weird, because I'm a grand-auntie now

Not me but my hubby is ten years younger than his youngest sister.
He is the only boy out of 4 girls.
Not only is he a mama's boy but he's a daddy's boy too. Super spoiled!

I have a huuuge family and heres me and my siblings, 5 girls and two boys..

emily-28....has a 4 month old boy
angie-25.....has a 5 yr old daughter
rosie-23......has a 4 year old daughter and a 6 month old daughter
ofi-21...........4 year old boy
alley(me!)-18...ill pass on the kids for now....lol actually till im thirty
jr-17.......same as above
raymond(weve called him munchie all his life!)-15...are u kiddin? no kids for u, u are a kid!!

and my dad is 41 and my mom is 47
so i guess u could say my mom kept having babies one right after another!! but i loooove my big family!

Aw that's lovely, you're mum was gorgeous.

I'm pretty sure I was a mistake/suprise heh. My mum was only 21 when she had me and wasn't married/still isn't married to my father, in fact, I've never known him, but she's 39 and is married now and I have a brother who is almost two and another brother/sister on the way.

I actually like the fact that there's such a big gap, with my brother, it's more of a maternal thing than a sibling thing. I don't think I missed having siblings when I was younger.

Anyway, yes! Huge age gap. Oh, I'm 17 by the way lol

No big gap for me! I just turned 27, my bro is 25. There is a 2 and a half year gap between us. I was stoked when he was born, we were totally buds. We're not as close now, but not in a bad way. Some of my closest friends are close to his age, some a fair bit older than myself. Age isn't so important to me, it's more what kind of personality or interests people have, and attitudes.

my older sister and i are 15 months apart, she was born may 1981 and i was born august 1982. i was the "oops" baby hahaha while iud's are one of the most recommended contraceptives out there, if applied incorrectly... well you know... they were gonna go for three kids, but we were too close together in age so they backed off.

i know two separate families who have siblings only 10 months apart... good god man, leave her alone for at least 6 weeks hahaha

I'm the oldest at 33, then I have 30 year old sister & a 26 year old sister. Strangely my youngest sister and I get along fabulously, but my 30 year old sister and I aren't close. My husband's brother is almost 10 years younger than him, although they have a sister in between. My Mom, though...her sister was 16 years older & her brother was 13 years older. She was spoiled rotten lol!

my sister is 3 years older (she's 23 and i am 20) but i always found that i get along with older ppl just because she is so mature and i have always been around her

when ppl meet me in person and i speak they always think i am 23/24 hehehe but i am just a big goof at heart

but my brother in law (cousins husband) is the youngest of 24 kids (his dad married 4 times but dayum) i rem when we first met him he was so young (24)and half his siblings had grand children lol
