Nah, never, but after I clean my lipsticks with alcohol so sanitize them, after applying first few swipes I always get sort of "tingly" feeling on my lips...goes away though:)

I am highly allergic to Camphor. This is in lots of lip sticks, gloss, chapsticks. If it has Camphor in it, that might be your problem. I just recently purchased a lip gloss by TIGI and I ended up with a cold sore. The ingredience didnt say that there was Camphor in it, so im not sure why i had a reaction. Im now searching the web trying to figure out if I got my cold sore from this gloss, or if it was just a fluke. I love the gloss and want to use it. Anyone had any type of reaction to TIGI gloss?

Whatever is common between Burts Bees and the Eos lip balms gives me the look of REALLY horrible collagen injections in a few hours.  Little tiny blisters everywhere and tons of swelling and redness.  I haven't narrowed down what the ingredient is.  I do just fine with Chapstick, and Blistex band balms.

I had a HUGE problem with breaking out right around my mouth, whenever I used any of my lipsticks or lip-glosses. Even some of my chapsticks were making me break out! After a long time of experimenting with different lipsticks/glosses/chapsticks, my dermatologist tested me for a mint allergy and it turned out that I am allergic to peppermint, which is a very common ingredient in lip products and many other makeup products.

After eliminating the products I used on my lips that contained peppermint, my skin cleared up completely. Now I just have to be careful about which brands of lipstick and lipgloss that I buy. To avoid any blemishes and breakouts, I buy Bare Minerals lip products. They have tons of lipsticks and glosses in beautiful colors, and all of them are made of natural products that will not aggravate even the most sensitive skin.

I usually wear blistex on my lips before I apply lipgloss but yesterday I skipped that step and used 3 different brands Mac, Avon and Nyx.. The three together made an gorgeous pink, however I woke up this morning with extremely swollen pink lips with fine bumps on them. I knew I had an reaction because this happened before when I use to wear Mac clear gloss alone. The problem with the three I used yesterday is I wore Mac plenty of times And had no reaction so its between Avon or nyx brand which were my first time using them.

I tried a Rimmel lipstick recently and had the same reaction after only a day so I am wondering if I developed an allergy to something that is put in cheaper lipsticks. Not sure what though. Good luck!

yeah, I would not even get close to those store testers personally.  But I am allergic to some lipsticks and glosses but I can't pinpont what the ingredient is!  Luckily all of the Mac lipsticks and glosses agree with me!
