i bought this cuz i thought that this was the equilivant to the discontinued 221 brush. With my small asian eyes, i need a smaller brush like this to put color on my outer/deep crease. I like it for its shape but wish it was shorter for more control. i was even thinking of cutting it myself! I hardly use this brush now. It does have white bristles so it does stain, but hey there is nothing you can do about it.

I love this brush. I was looking for a new crease brush because the one I had before (not MAC) was too wide and I felt the eyeshadow was really hard to place and went everywhere. This crease brush is so soft and is so amazing for blending, and gives me that really defined crease shadow without the eyeshadow getting all over the lid. I only wish there was some kind of a covering for the bristles when drying or for traveling. But overall, a superb eyeshadow brush that I just can't do without now.

This is the best brush for applying dense, defined color to the outer-corner of the eye. Using a light, swirling, circular motion, you can get a blended "MAC" look with those darker colors, just start out gradually, and build the color in.
Try it out! It helped me eliminate using both the 219 and the 224 to get the same effect.

I love this brush! The MA at MAC recommended it to me when I asked for a new blending brush. She was definitely right. It's great to blend and great for applying color too!

I think this is a completely seperate use brush then the 224. I use the 222 to place color, pencil brush to define crease and the 224 to blend everything smooth. Love it.

I bought this brush because i have small eyes and the 224 and 217 were just too big to get the precision i needed. This one does the job well but I've found i have to blend more with this one But i'll use it since it works for some looks. I' have found my replacement, the 226 from BBR, its perfect

This brush is amazing. Perfect for the crease and defined color to outer corner of lid. I find the shadow goes on softer than the 217 (which I also love). Great blending brush. I am so happy I chose this one, I would buy it again in a heartbeat.
