I agree.  Didn't work for me at all.

For me it was Steamy, hardly shows up.

Tempting. Fallout city and just boring.

I agree with everyone else about Trax, it's such an awkward color on me. I haven't found a great way to use it yet, I've tried it with more burgundy shades like sketch (I looked like I got punched in the eye, DON'T TRY IT!!!), and bronze colors, but it just doesn't look right.

I love Tempting, it's a pretty shimmery golden bronze color, perfect for Summer looks IMO. My trick to making lustres work for me is to put the color on with a smaller pencil brush, then blend with a fluffier brush. That way, the shimmer doesn't get everywhere when you first apply it.

I don't even mind Lustre's in general. Aquadisiac is one of my favorite shadows, but I just cannot get down with Tempting. th_dunno.gif

Carbon is definately overrated.  I also like parrot, but I don't think that it deserves all the hype.  Yes it is pretty on, but it is not the end all.

I'm not sure it's overrated since I hardly (not to say never) read/hear anyone talking about this: Blackberry.

But I hate how it looks and I regret I ever got it.

definitely bamboo and shroom, doesn't show up, so what's the point?!

I remembered another one everyone seems to love but doesn't work for me: All that Glitters

For my it's definetely Beauty Marked! Looks like a gorgeous deep glittery burgundy, but when you apply it, it's just black whith red glitter on your cheeks... :-/

PS: I personnally LOVE Idol Eyes; it really makes my green eyes pop!

It's beauty marked for me.  But in general lustre eyeshadows =/.

yeah, do not work for me

I hate Shroom! And woodwinked just bores me, really regretting buying that one even though everyone loves it. Naked Lunch is also a favorite for everyone but Im also bored with it.

I actually like beauty marked instead of Carbon. For me you cant really see the glitter at all and I think it applys as a better black then both black tied and carbon! Try that.

I dislike Twinks. On me there is no plum and it's a sheer brown that is too glittery

I know many will disagree but Smoke and Diamonds.  I don't see what's the hype with it.  It just looks so muddy on me.  I have friends who are willing to pay "an arm and a leg" for it but trust me, they can have it for FREE.  I just don't get it.

Same here. I don't know how to make this work on me :/

For me it's definitely Woodwinked!

I always see it there sitting in my palette looking like the most gorgeous shade in the world, then I put it on and it's ORANGE! Ugh. It disappoints me over and over again. I know it looks fabulous on some people, and I can't fault the texture and pigmentation, but on me (fair, cool-toned) it's not really a winner.

I keep hold of it because there are a few looks that can make it work. I used it over one of the brown paint pots and paired it with Heritage Rouge I think and it looked ok.

Same here! I'm NW15 and can not pull that one off.

Shale... I really like the colour, but in my eyelids it looks like a dirty grey 001_unsure.gif

I personally don't like naked lunch, just a plain, too silky/glittery shade for me. I am very light skinned though.

Doesn't work on me either.  A friend recommended at I watched a demo on you tube on how to use Satin taupe. Still couldn't make it work for me.

Beauty Mark'd was an utter disappointment.  Gorgeous in the pan, blah on the eye.

Carbon. It's kind of chalky and not that black. Also, when I was depotting it, it shattered into a million pieces and made a horrific mess of my carpet, bedspread, clothes, etc. So I hate it extra hard for that...

Vanilla is so meh ssad.gif

Carbon.

There are so many other black shadows out there that are more pigmented, smooth, and blendable.

I think the one I've hated the most that I have is Idol Eyes.

I used it once AFTER applying foundation and it was fall out freaking city.  I'll never, ever apply it again after foundation, horrible!  I only keep it because it's in a palette.

Parfait Amour  (hope i spelt that right)  I've heard alot people say that this is such a lovely unique colour but on me its goes on patchy and is hard to build up, I can never get it to show up the colour it is in the pan.

Agreed. I really hate Carbon. I might throw it out of my pan and go get some other black eyeshadow from another brand that actually performs.

I only own 15 MAC eyeshadows and out of all I have, I'd have to say Carbon. I tried to convince myself it's the blackest black eyeshadow, but Make Up For Ever #4 eyeshadow and Urban Decay's Blackout proved me wrong.
