Honesty doesn't go on well for me

Has anyone tries any of these no-show shades with a mixing medium? I wonder if it would help.

Vex- no colour on my skin at all, even packed over a CCB. I used to use this a lot on fairer/non-olive girls and it was gorgeous!

Patina-same as above

Parfair Amour- something about blue purples on me, they look pretty initially then sink into my skin and turn muddy grey. I guess that's why I'm in the minority that loves Trax, Hepcat and other reddy purples.

Nylon-tacky 80's gold on me, hate it as a highlight even with the lightest hand.

Shroom: i totally agree - it would be great on a darker girl, but it doesn't show up on me. i use Nylon, Vanilla and Dazzlelight instead.

Parrot: which, like Lara, i am sick of on principal. and besides that i can't wear those kinds of blues so even if i had it, i'd hate it. this also means things like Belle Azure and Freshwater are on my no-fly list. stupid blues.

Cranberry - even though the reddish-purples like Trax and Hepcat are beyond awesome on my, the red of Cranberry just looks awful - like i went nuts with my mom's lipstick when i was 5 all over my eyes. fail.

Swimming - tried to like it, and it does blend much better than any other lustre out there, but the color just doesn't do it for me.

Creme de Violet- it's such a gorgeous color in the pan, but on me I could never ever get it to work (and trust me I tried!) and finally swapped it away.

Pink Freeze- I actually loved this color years ago when I first got it, but now that I'm older and over my pink eyeshadow obsession (still love it, just not everyday) it's just so damn frosty!

Cranberry- I wanted this color so much seeing it in peoples collections and whatnot, but so far I cannot get it to work. It doesn't blend easily and so far just makes me look sick

I really dig Paradisco, but I'm paper white so I guess that's why it shows up I'm kinda in the middle of the road with Shroom, it's definitely too ordinary to deserve the hype it has, but I could finally make it work after just sitting down and experimenting. It's a fine base on me, but not my favorite.

I meant to push quote but I am seriously obsessed with Idol eyes. YOu have to put it over a coloured base and that way it looks incredibly beautiful. Try it.

Swimming. I swapped it out!
I also swapped Jest.

I really love Shroom, though. It's almost exactly my skin color- it's a MELBB color for me. (my eyelids but better) :lolz:

Honesty looks great mixed with WBMM. I'm starting to believe Blue Brown Piggy is overrated as a shadow......Or maybe it's 'cause it doesn't work for me....

I suppose it depends if you mean overrated for the colour or for the price people are willing to pay for it. I agree parrot does go for stupid amounts but I got 2 for retail this week and it's a gorgeous colour, so for colour I don't think it's overrated at all. The price some people sell for -yes, colour - no.

So most overrated colour would be sushi flower. I can't get any colour out of it at all.

Most overrated priced eyeshadow probably haze.

I don't like silver ring and casino. Casino is a glittery mess and silver ring doesn't show up as much as i would like it to.

I'm starting to think that most mac eyeshadows are overated now

Trax!

I'm finding that Trax is way overrated.. it looks gorgeous in the container but when its on, and I have blue eyes, it looks like a bruise. It loses its gold shimmer undertones and becomes sort of a yuck purple. Anyone else noticed this?

I'd have to go with swimming. I bought it because of the hype and see it in a bunch of FOTDs but it was just alright on me. I'm not too fussy about it, probably because its a Lustre.

I think that could be true of almost any retail product, depending on the reviewer. Not all products will please everyone.
Colours I absolutely adore I see hated on here quite often (ex: Idol Eyes!), but it still works great for me.

I have to go with Paradisco for me. I always see people recommending this one. I have it and for the life of me I don't know why I still do. I never use it and there are far prettier pinks and peaches out there.
