I've mentioned this tutorial many times before on the forums, but I've recently re-photographed and re-written the entire tutorial to make it extra precise and easy to follow.

I've tried every depotting method going and this has been hands-down the easiest for me and the most adaptable (I believe the original flat iron tutorial posted on livejournal was based on this tut) and hopefully it will be helpful to a few of you as well.

What setting should we put the iron on? Mine has numbers that range from 1-10.

Re: Depotting with an iron (link)

this is by far the easiest way it cuts down on the harmful fumes and has the least chance of damaging the shadow. I have done over 20 like this.

Hottest setting and no steam!
