It is available on the Selfridges website, but I don't know why not elsewhere. When I wanted to buy it from Harrods 2 weeks ago it wasn't in stock their either. I'm angry I'll miss out on the Debenhams bonus points because of this. :( The only other thing I want is the new Bobbi Brown shimmer brick right now and I refuse to buy something I don't need just to make up the £50. I even saw it in BeautyBase in Westfield on Tuesday!

I'm waiting for other stores to get it too, although I really want to buy something.. I guess I'll just have to wait..

I'm not paying delivery for selfridges when they fail to deliver. no way.

I got the new Dragon Meteorites this week. OMG these are the best ones yet. Mine has several of the burgundy balls in it. The effect is stunning. Flawless, glowing skin. LOVE them! And even though I couldn't use one up completely in many years, I am fighting the urge to back these up.

Hooray!!! yahoo.gif  If you decide to try it, let us know what you think!

I am probably going to end up with the same haul as you.  Is there going to be a refill available for the Voyage Powder? I know that there are refills available for a previous release.

I think the only refill you can buy is the regular Mythic one, although I have bought a couple of older LE ones on eBay before.

I went to my fave Guerlain counter yesterday.

I was going to get Turandot quad and Dragon Perles. But then I actualy ended up not getting anything form the Holiday collection.

I swatched and like a lot color combo in the Caligraphy Liu palette, meaning I loved the 3 top shades- cream, copper and grey. The other shades and the lippies I would probably not use. And I do not like the design of the packaging so much.

So then I decided to go with Turandot.

I skipped the Dragon pearls because they looked more glittery than the Pucci ones. Loved the pressed Wulong powder but would never pay that much for it. Nail polishes were nothing special as well as the lipsticks.

So I decided the get one of the perm quads which was on my list for about a year but I never got any of the perm quads because I always wanted the seasonal items.

My SA is so sweet, she gave me so many samples as well as GWP and large size GWP of Shalimar perfume.

When I got home I found out she mistakenly didnt give me Turandot but Les Gris palette.

So dilemma again, should I return Les Gris, should I keep it, should I get Turandot or Caligraphy.

I am in a mode of keeping my stash in reasonable size so I said I will only get items I totally love, dont know now.

My SA tried it on my as well as gave me samples to try at home. I can say right away I dont like it. Didnt cover anything.

She gave me also samples of Lingerie de peas and Parure gold, once I try I can compare it, but as far as glowy foundation this doesnt come nearl my HG Burberry sheer.

Sorry to hear that you didn't like it. I tried a little on, but just along my jawline and it was more to test the colour that anything. I didn't notice that it was so sheer! I haven't tried the Burberry sheer, since it's hard to get Burberry in Canada. Maybe I can ask my SA for a sample of the Parure Lumiere to try before I commit to a whole bottle.

I prefer the new Lumiere foundation to Lingerie de Peau, it's very nice texture with great oil control.

Oh no. I just ordered the Dragon Ballz (girlhaha.gif) moments ago. It's my first Guerlain purchase. I should've checked this thread once more before doing so. How glittery are they?

Oh dear... I'm not sure if I want glittery balls (OK, I'm immature, I just giggled at that). I was hoping to use these as a sort of a finishing powder with a bit of a glow. Any appreciable amount of glitter makes that a no-go.

I think the Pucci ones are sort of glittery. When I use the Pucci ones and look at my face up close I see the particles.

These had even more glittery particles than Pucci ones.

It might also depends how do you want to use it, If you use glowy base, glowy foundation and the pearls it might be too much, but if your base is matte it might be totally great.

I use glowy foundation (Burberry) of glowy BB ream most of the days so I think the Pucci ones for me are little overboard. If I use more matte BB cream the pearls make beautiful skin.

My SA recommened to wait until they come out with something I really love. She didnt think they were that great either, she only recommended itto wear for parties or nights. She said they bring new pearls several times per year and a reasonable person doesnt need more than 2 or 3 boxes (even 1 for most regular people).  I am not crazy for that black packaging either, so plain. Hope next ones will be pink or something colorful.

Sorry if I am being too critical, but I can not keep buying things at the rate I was last year, I have only 1 face.

That's the same thing I was looking to do. After trying out the Marilyn Monroe Beauty Powder and liking it, I wanted to try more face powders that would create a glow. I thought the Meteorites would be perfect, but not if they're glittery. And don't worry, I giggled too.

The Wulong powder on the other side is awesome.

Love.

Very fine, glowy, no glitter at all.

Well count me in on the glittering balls or Dragon Balls...it all makes me laugh girlhaha.gif

I wonder why the SA didn't say they were glittery?

And April - you love them right? Maybe you're also a fan of glittering balls...hmmm

My Guerlain Meteorites Collection - Updated Pictures June 2012

I went back several pages in this thread to learn more about Guerlain's Holiday collection and Meteorites. Anitacska, you have an amazing collection! eyelove.gif It's also nice to see that the Du Dragon black container isn't a typical color.

So I am just looking at all the samples  the counter gave me:

5 packets of Parure Lumiere

8 packets of Lingerie de Peau

3 Packets of Parure Gold

5ml sample bottle of Meteorites primer

2 sample tubes (not packets) of eye cream

makeup bag which came with- travel sizes Secret de purete cleanser (30ml), Aqua supe lotion toner 15 ml, Aqua super serum 5ml, another primer L'or 5ml and sample of Shalimar perfume

Shalimar perfume bottle GWP 15ml- eau de parfum

and then some other samples from Jo Malone and Sisley.

wow, i think I had lucky day.

this is a second time this counter gave me makeup bag with skin care travel sizes in it as well as lip gloss mini

The Guerlain balls amuse.gif are a product that everyone should try out in person before purchasing IMO. I've heard so many different reviews and opinions on them, people seem to either love or hate them. I have the permanent ones in 01 and they don't do anything for me, I don't see any difference on my skin after I apply them. No soft focus effect, no glow. I do find them glittery - if you look closely and move your face a little bit in front of the mirror, there seem to be some bigger glitter particles that catch the light. I personally don't like that.

Then again, there are lots of people who rave about them. Apparently the ballz give a soft focus effect, but like I said I don't see that. I'm starting to think that it has a lot to do with which brush you're using. Maybe I don't have the right one for it...

Cartoonchic, if you have the chance to check out Givenchy products, take a look at their face powders. Givenchy is not a brand that gets a lot of attention it seems, but they have some really lovely products.

I'm still skipping the holiday collection, only thing that really interests me is the Wulong (?) powder, but that's obviously way too expensive. thud.gif

BTW am I the only one who is interested in the YSL holiday highlight powder? cry.gif I am DYING to see swatches of it, it looks so nice. YSL+Northern+Lights+Swatch+013.JPG (640×480)

I, too, am hoping that this is somewhat like the Marilyn powder. Only more luxurious. love.gif If it is, I'm skiping all of Glamour Daze except one blush to be able to afford that one.

ETA: Forgot to mention the Givenchy holiday powder. Looks VERY nice as well, maybe this will be like what some of you were hoping the Meterorites would be like. But it's crazy pricey. Comes in a leather case.

Oh, please let me know how you like it! I've been doing so many google searches for it, but can't find much. I never purchased anything from YSL before, but this caught my attention, it looks very promising.

I'll definitely check it out for you if they have it. I was interested in one of the 5 color YSL es palettes. The brown, bronze, gold one. My daughter in law wants one of the glosses but I cannot remember which one.

YSL makes nice highlighters. I thought about buying the one from last year, but didn't go through with it. I swatched it everytime I passed a YSL counter, though. lol.gif

Givenchy is an underrated brand, for sure. I suggest their new Noir Couture mascara. Really, really nice.

I want to take a closer look at their e/s palettes as well. Also I want the Touche Eclat, a Rouge Pur Couture l/s and a nail polish. angelic.gif

I read somewhere that this one is very similar to last year's holiday highlighter.

Sorry for hijacking the Guerlain thread. blush-anim-cl.gif

ITA!  I think that this is the best approach with any product if you have a counter near you.

With them I get a very nice soft focus effect, and I don't see any large glitter particles at all.  I use an overpriced Guerlain brush, but it seems to work well.

One Guerlain product that I can't stand is the meteorite primer.  I have read raving revues about it.  When I use it my make up feels heavy, like my skin can't breath.
