Sleek Cosmetics!

Has anyone tried them? They're FAB! They're by far the best drugstore eyeshadows i've tried. So highly pigmented, they're beautiful!
I only found them a couple of weeks ago, they're £2.99 in the UK for a pigment pot. It's got a beautiful mac-like texture too!
I honestly cannot recommend them enough. Especially the "iDivine" pallette.

I got mine from a Superdrug in Birmingham, I mentioned to the lady I'd never seen them before and she said they're only in a few of the Superdrug stores, she says they only get them in if there is a high urban population in the area.

She did tell me though that they sell them in a lot of the black hair care shops, because the range is meant for darker skin. So if you want some try there!

I'll post swatches if anyone wants to see? I'm thrilled to bits with them. I bought like 15 in one go

I don't know if they sell them in the US :/ i just looked on the site and they sell them in France, Western Africa and South Africa thoughhh.

I can't recommend these enough, really.
What does everyone else think?

Re: Sleek Cosmetics!

Yay a birmingham girl like me! Ive seen the brand in Superdrug, I saw the gorgeous colors and bought the palette, but I find the shadows hard to blend and gave it to my sister who likes wearing bright colors more than I do lol. But yes the colors are super pigmented and the prices are more than great for what you get! I want to try the pigments next

Re: Sleek Cosmetics!

oo i bought that same palette too! and my friend who saw it had to buy it as well lol i love the colours and i don't find them hard to blen at all... i love the eyeshadows

Re: Sleek Cosmetics!

Sleek have really upped their game recently I remember it was such a crappy brand when I was back in school years ago.

You can also find it in most Afro Caribbean hair shops too (in London anyway).

The colours are great & I hope they expand the line with more selections soon when I use them over my UDPP the colour are so vibrant even better than Barry M shadows imo.

A good budget alternative to MAC.

Re: Sleek Cosmetics!

Hmm maybe it's cuz I was using the sponge e/s brush (I was not so addicted to makeup back then)! Will have to buy again and try it with my brushes

Re: Sleek Cosmetics!

I've got the pallete, I haven't really used it but I like the pigments they are very pigmented but I agree they should expand the colour range. They've really come a long way.

I don't think Sleek makeup is sold in the US unfortunately.
Maybe someone can do a CP for you if you are interested?

Re: Sleek Cosmetics!

Sleek is good for the pigments, but a lot of their stuff is hit and miss.
I just bought the pallet( for no reason) and i actually prefer the collection 2000 pigment thingys.
They have come a long way, i remember my big sister would never buy any of their stuff. I have a cute blush from them too.
I wouldn't go for their mascaras or foundations.

Re: Sleek Cosmetics!

The ink pots nice I only have black but I would definately go for the other colours; yea before Sleek hit superdrug it was AWFUL, it's obviously doing well if people in the US are picking up on it,

Re: Sleek Cosmetics!

I love sleek products. I've done a review of them on my blog if you'd like to take a look and I've got swatches up of the LE Jewels palette there too. Gonna do the other swatches later today. Most of the colours are highly pigmented however I've found that there are a few duds in there like the orange in the Jewel palette. Looks gorgeous...but just come out a some glittery mess.

I'm gonna be trying out their gel liners soon too. Any tried their single eyeshadows....GORGEOUS. Ever so pigmented as well....I think I'll do another review too. Anyone else got the singles? Oh and their blush for us chocolate girls is gorgeous! I have 2 and they go on so well!!!!

me love Sleek

Re: Sleek Cosmetics!

How did I miss this??? (Also, how did I not realise there is a superdrug about 5 mins from my house?? hmmm...). Definitely hopping along to superdrug at the very next opportunity to check out the Storm palette and gel liners.

Re: Sleek Cosmetics!

i bought a palette from ebay a while back. and it shipped from the UK in a week. which is insane (in a good way)

Re: Sleek Cosmetics!

I've just done a review on my blog for one of the palettes, I'm super impressed with the colour payoff from these and the ease with which they blend..so glad I bought as many as I did and the dreaded sponge applicator you get with it holds up pretty good!

Re: Sleek Cosmetics!

ok DANG my local superdrug doesn't have sleek... might have to investigate ordering online instead. I really want the Storm palette!

Hi Anita, I heard that they are only stocked in urban areas. However, I have seen them in the Superdrugs in Old Street, Victoria and Uxbridge. The Superdrug in Victoria is the best stocked one I've ever seen. I checked Superdrug online as was going to buy mine from there but they didn't have all the palettes.

Excellent, thanks very much for that They actually have the store I visited listed on Sleek's website as a stockist, but the list must just be out of date. Oh well. Victoria is pretty handy for the occasions when I do go into London, so I'll definitely have a look. I'm also dying to go to the Westfield and check out Inglot too (I've been out of work for the last 2 months, I just got a job a few days ago so now I'm reactivating my lemmings list... ). I'm sensing a trip to London coming soon-ish!

That's excellent news, I was the exact same way when I became fully qualified at work ..

Oooh which store in Westfields sells Inglot? I really want to try some of their stuff out and I am going to Westfields soon

I found this if it's of any help

SLEEK Divine Shadow Collection

SLEEK Cosmetics: i-Divine Eye Shadow Pallette

They have the three staples there and it's just a quid more than it is in Superdrug.

It's an actual Inglot store. It's on the ground level close to Boots. The store was way bigger than I imagined it would be - even bigger than my local MAC. I actually just went to Westfield today, and ended up getting two small Inglot Freedom palettes - one with 4 eyeshadows & a brow powder, and another with 2 lip colours and a concealer. The prices are outrageously low when you compare with MAC too. Will do a review on my sadly neglected blog sometime. AND the Westfield Superdrug had Sleek, so I got my Storm palette!! Yesss.... it's really lovely, now I have something decent to take on holiday with me when I don't want to risk taking one of my precious MAC palettes. The colours are beautiful, I'm going to pick up a couple more next time I go to use as gifts. Thanks so much for the links though!! I also got a Sleek gel eyeliner in Espresso, but when I opened it up, it looked kind of dried out (as in, had shrunken away from the sides of the jar). Has anyone else had this problem?? It's kind of solid, but still seems to be usable.

Hey, it must seem like I'm stalking you . I have a Bobbi Brown gel liner and that was kinda "cracked" away on the side and it works perfectly well. The reason I didn't buy the Sleek gel liner was because all the samples were dried out so I couldn't really see how the colour worked. I'd suggest returning it and buying another

Haha, cool I have a stalker

Yes, this happened to one of my MAC fluidlines too after about a year.. It sort of shrivelled and cracked! Which is why I thought the Sleek one must be faulty... unless it's meant to be solid? Hmm.. I won't be going back to the store anytime soon, so I think I'll just try and "rehydrate" it with some Fix+.
