In all honesty I've been embarassed about pulling any of the recent packaging out in public, but I am finding it ALOT easier to identify things in my makeup drawer, so ugly or not I'm growing to like it!

i like one of the lipglasses, but the orange packaging clashes with it i also like 2 of the nail polishes. i like the packaging of the lipstick but none of the lip colours are appealing to me.

I remember when the majority of ppl said that Lure's green packaging was tacky and too Clinique-ish because of the EL company, but when the collection was out everybody loved it no matter the shade of the packaging!
As long as the shades of the products are my shades, I don't care about the shade of the packaging!

That's what I'm thinking- I'll probably focus on the naughty nauticals, even though it doesn't seem as exciting I like the brighter colors! Damn my cool toned pinky skin!!


I like orange, but it looks like cheapy plastic orange. Those lipsticks look like they should be lined up on the freeway like some plastic orange cones....

Oh thank god MAC had decided to go forth with another bright Blue nail polish - I was going crazy worrying about what I'd do when my Blue Tips went bad.. Plus that yellow nail polish is fantastic looking! If this collection comes out before June 1st then I'm going to have one fabulous birthday ladies, rocking the colors

it feels like i'm the only one loving the packaging. not sure why but the color orange makes me happy. but i'm not really feeling the product though... they are so neutral. i like my crazy colors

Eeeeee, I'm so getting the last 3 nail lacquers in the picture! I am SUCH a nail lacquer junkie. Getting Lola Devine from Heatherette has only made me crazier, lol. I'm not liking any of the lip stuff (I'm more of a red and berry girl), but I'm excited to see the rest of the collection ^_^

Yep that's what I think as well. To tell you the truth I'm kinda relived that this collection isn't going to suit my pale pinky skin because MAC has been putting out too many of these LE ranges lately! That said, I haven't seen the eyeshadows in this collection yet. Something tells me there could be some really nice brown/bronzy colours in there, or at least that's what I'm hoping for!

The orange is unique, and quite fun..
But PLEASE, they are a make-up company. Shouldn't they be thinking of color theory? The orange clashes with the browns and bronze and totally overwhelms the browns and beiges, you can't even look at the color, you're just staring at the caps.

They should've.. used Metallic Purple.
It would have complemented the colors well, it would have been sleek and nice to look at, and SCI-FI! And not overpowered the colors.
Gold really would've been nice.

Tacky and not well thought out. SMMY was right on the money though!

And brown.. is really not my thing, I'm too tan.. ahaha, I need COLOR.
So I'll be passing on this WHOLE collection.
Thank god. I took such a hit with Heatherette and I will with Naughty Nauticals as well.

You are so right! The orange screws up the visuals for the color- it would have been so much nicer on a more neutral metallic case- and the name SCI FI only applies to the GREAT PUMPKIN with this collection. It just does not flow well at all.

Thankfullly I won't be missing out on this one! It is almost repulsive to look at from the colors fighting!

I'm kinda glad none of the lipsticks or lipglasses grab me, i'm just not a beige or brown girl. And for once I'm happy i'm a nail biter as those blue and yellow nail polishes just scream buy me at me, and since i've no use for nail polish i've more money for the naughty nauticals. Fingers crossed the eyeshadows in neo sci-fi don't blow me away.

Those promo pics do absolutely nothing for me!!!! Hopefully the eyeshadows are better than the lip and nail stuff!! (I'm not holding my breath though ;-) )

Ok I think the orange packaging is VILE, I can't even see what the lipgloss looks like because the lid is distracting; I thought the same about the Heatherette ones though- not ugly but just that they clash.

I don't like this packaging AT ALL. The lipsticks aren't appealing to me and some of the lipglasses look good but not like must haves.

I hope we can see some pictures of the eyeshadows soon. It's fine that I don't like most of the products anyways, so that I don't waste money.

Yeah...that's why I like the polishes so much. No gimmicky packaging...the colors are just pure attraction.

I can't believe that they did ORANGE packaging! Yuck! I am sorry but these do not appeal to me at all! I am praying that they eye shadows are something so spectacular that I forget about the orange! Ewwwwwww........

I think after the last bright collections (Like Fafi and Heatherette) MAC is probably taking a step in a direction geared toward ladies who like more toned down and neutral colors. People that probably aren't used to color as much, but are looking for shimmer in the summer, because this is more for the warm ladies, but way more for the summer than N collection was.
