Hey Rbella, has MAC hired you to pimp out the Ungaro stuff yet?

Re: MAC - MAC for Ungaro Discussion

I tried the CB CCB on my lips first-looooove! I passed on the stain too figuring I could use the CCB to achieve a similar look. Tomorrow I will work my way up to wearing it on my cheeks. After the FOTDs and tuts I was like oh that will be fine for me, but when I swatched it I was like hmm (I usually use either well dressed or alpha girl so this is a big jump) and then I looked up and saw a girl wearing it in the store and it was just all cheeks, like crazy bright doll cheeks! But I am going to try it anyway.

Patty you totally should wear your hair curly every now and again because it was soooo gorgeous! I loved that FOTD btw.

They tried, but I've just been so busy. You know with the hurricane and everything.

I promise if you just put a bit on your finger and dab it in, you will love it. It really does go on lightly if you want it to. Or, you can put a shit ton on and look ridiculous. I mean it is totally your call. That is the beauty of crushed boob.

Re: MAC - MAC for Ungaro Discussion

Coach, I picked up Fresh Morning to mix with other things. And I'm going to try Elegant's suggestion to use it as a highlight at the top of the cheek/undereye.

I also need to add that Crushed Boob CCB just may be one of my favourite MAC products (and MAC and I go way back). It is just incredibly gorgeous both on the cheeks and lips. I am getting a back-up of this without any hesitation! Not sure who mentioned using the 188 (or 187?), but it worked beautifully.

Speaking of mixing have you tried mixing Fresh Morning and Crushed Boob together?

Not on the lips yet! I just got Fresh Morning yesterday and I was just so in love with Crushed Boob all on its own today that I didn't bother! However, i did try it on the back of my hand, and liked how that looked, a very girly pink shade.

I knew that there was a reason I needed Fresh Morning. I am going to have to get both of the CCBs then. Thanks Nora!!!

I've got Dark Edge and have only swatched Mineral at the store. To me, D.E. is a straight up cool brown, no other tones to it. Mineral is a tad warmer with slight plummy tones. I think D.E. would go well enough with the other shadows but won't look as soft and romantic (does that make sense?). For Showstopper, from what I've read it'd be much darker than Mineral and leans on the cooler side (hints of grey/blue). HTH!

GlamYOURUs I loved your sweaty boob comment in the swatch thread!

The more I see this CCB the more I want it. So pretty!

Re: MAC - MAC for Ungaro Discussion

^^^ Turned out that I like Fresh morning after seeing Ungaro yesterday. May get it to try it under eyes suggested by elegant or mixed together with CB suggested by coachkitten. CB is very bright pink and I'm not sure if I can spread it out on my cheeks nicely. The BP is actually quite pink on me, guess because of my Asian undertones. I like e/s lilac touch. It's like what I wanted Illegal Cargo to be. I seldom use IC because it makes me look bruised. Not so shy! stained my hand and I'm scared to apply it on my lips. I imagine it will be painful to rub it off my lips (always dry unless I put l/s or balm). I didn't get anything but put BP and CB on hold so I can think about it. Have put some pictures in the swatch thread.

Patty, great guess! Here we say it BOW too! Our overhead bridges for pedestrains and along the roads to the airport are planted with rows and rows of that in all colours. So we have to learn that in our primary school science class.

lol, yeah, I'd suggest actually applying balm first, but let it set in before using the stain. The stain does eventually wear off tho, so I don't think you'll need to rub it off. =) Just remember that a little goes a long way. I usually pat the stain over my lips then gently press my lips together to even it out. Repeat if a darker look is desired. Applying this like I usually do glosses doesn't work out as well for me, streaks everywhere. =(

**edit** For those of you curious about how to pronounce Bou-gain-whatevah, here's how Merriam-Webster does it. But of course, Crushed Boob is much funner. =)

Can anyone please tell me how Mineral compare to Clue e/s?

Mineral vs. Clue:
Clue has a tinge of pearl sheen (white/silver) to it than Mineral. Clue is a Frost, and Mineral is a Satin. If you look at them side by side, Mineral is a bit warmer in color-- a tad bid redder/purple than Clue, which is cooler due to the pearl undertone. Mineral has no 'sheen' to it, good for a warmer eye combo.

Mineral vs. Dark Edge:
Dark Edge is more 'brown' than Mineral. Although they are both Satin e/s, Mineral has more of a redder tone to it--just a hint.

In all, they are different...I can't really say that one is a good dupe for another... sorry. HTH!

Re: MAC - MAC for Ungaro Discussion

I just picked up the Crushed Bougainvillea CCB and it's gorgeous! I used it lightly with the MAC 187 brush ( i believe) on my cheeks. A little sure goes a long way.

I'm still torn on whether or not to get the Fresh Morning CCB. I'm NC25 now and I 'm afraid it might wash me out. But maybe I'll try it as a cheekbone highlighter. Thanks to everyone for the suggestions.

Hopefully I won't get any breakouts with the CCBs on my cheeks, which unfortunately the MAC blushcremes caused : (

Re: MAC - MAC for Ungaro Discussion

I didn't get the CCBs in the end. they were sold out in my country..

Re: MAC - MAC for Ungaro Discussion

I just got back from the Red She Said party, and was able to get my Ungaro stuff too. I really liked the collection, though I felt that most was dupeable. The shadows had decent payoff on me. I ended up with Pure Rose l/s (B2M) and Crushed Boob CCB. If I end up with extra money, I may go back for the shadows and the l/g, but I won't be heartbroken if I miss out as there are alots of things similar IMO. The BP was pretty, and obviously pink, but I opted for the BPB from Red She Said instead.

So Audrey, how do you like Crushed Boob? And would you describe the color of Stark Naked?

Thank you

Re: MAC - MAC for Ungaro Discussion

The e/s Lilac Touch is so pretty. Is there an e/s in the permanent line that ist similar to this colour? I love those LE products but using them is kinda hard because of them beeing limited and not that easy to replace.

I love Crushed Boob! I am SO glad I got it. I am wearing it on my lips today with Stark Naked on my cheeks and it really brightens up my face. I want to try it on my cheeks tomorrow.

As far as Stark Naked, compared to what I have, it is more pigmented than Gentle and Blooming blushes. Love Thing is more red. It's not plummy really, but it is more of a cool toned rose pink. It's bright, but not as bright as Pleasantry. It's very unique IMO. Different from all other 12 blushes I own. Kind of reminds me of Afterdusk, but a bit brighter and much better color payoff. The shimmer is about the same as in the MSF blushes. Hope that helps some. It's so hard to describe!
