MAC - Colour Forms Discussion - Page 40

Re: MAC - Colour Forms Discussion

So I really love the warm eyes palette.
I took... Rustic, put it all over the lid, and the I blended Fertile all over it, to make it a bit of a shimmery plummy brown color. Then I took Chillproof to highhlight and then blended Tancentric in between. And THEN took a dab or Rolled gold to the inner part of my eyelid. It was so pretty!

Re: MAC - Colour Forms Discussion

Surprisingly enough, I am really into the sun-centered powder. It works awesome as a bronzer or contour for me. Loves it. Inner Hue rocks. I used it today with Lure liner and one of my Chanel Glossimers. I like it just as much as Pop Circle. It isn't orange on me at all and I am VERY skeptical of any product that might look orange....

Re: MAC - Colour Forms Discussion

Got my second Nordies order this morning. Am I the only one that loves the RMH??? I love the silky feel & slight shimmer, & they go on like butter! I got Deep Deposit while I was at the store (Love this shade), but just got Positive Charge today. It is so beautiful on - it reminds me of Honey Lust & Amber Lights but a lil deeper in shade. It makes my brown/hazel eyes just pop! Very day/office friendly.

Cantaffordmac - *warning, do not read* - *Cover your eyes for this*

I also got Naked to the Core lippie - not so different from most nudes but still very pretty & makes my lips a couple shades lighter. Its a pretty nude that doesn't make you look dead. I just love the creamy feeling & smell of these on my lips.

Re: MAC - Colour Forms Discussion

I got my Tea time and Circa Plum pigment plus Warm Palette. I am not sure if I like circa plum yet. Still trying it. I did try nice vice paint pot with tea time. Wow, it is beautiful combo. I love Warm Palette, it is perfect color combo.

Any suggestion how to work with Circa plum? Thanks !

Re: MAC - Colour Forms Discussion

Circa Plum would go really well with neutrals, whites, other purples, greens...do you have Beautiful Iris? If so, use Circa Plum in the crease and on the outer third with Beautiful Iris on the lid. Also if you want a quick pop of colour, do your neutrals of choice and highlights of choice but Circa Plum in the crease.

Re: MAC - Colour Forms Discussion

I just loooove Circa Plum. I finally used it today with the Play on Plums MES duo (the Plum mono on the lid and Circa Plum in the crease). It's just so pretty! I think it will go well with a lot of colors, especially pale neutrals and browns - purples and browns are my favorite combo. I can't wait to try CP with Tempting. Now I wish I'd gotten Tea Time...oh well, there's always the CCO.

Re: MAC - Colour Forms Discussion

Now that I saw Karin's FOTD with circa plum I might have to get it. It looks gorgeous on her fair skin!

Re: MAC - Colour Forms Discussion

HI:

I applied nice vice on the lid lightly. I make sure I warmed up the paint pot with my fingers it seem to work better for me. Then I applied tea time on top on my lids. It gives kinds a bronzy purple look. It is hard to explain. It is a very basic eye look but with a kick. I add teddy eye kohl in my waterlines.

You can test the colors, apply the paint on your hand then apply the pigment on top. That how I can create difference looks. I do that alot with my paints to see what results I get. Good Luck!!!

Re: MAC - Colour Forms Discussion

Has anyone else had a craptacular experience receiving their shipments from Nordstrom.com? They are taking their sweet time shipping my stuff out - so far, out of 8 items, only 3 have been shipped, incl my Naked to the Core and a PP, but my brush sets and Pop Circle are still "in process", along with a couple other things- it's been almost a week since I ordered. I did live chat to make sure they're still coming and they said yes, they're just a bit backed up right now b/c of the Anniversary sale, but honestly why couldn't they have just thrown all my CF stuff in one freaking box, I guarantee it's going to be one of their mega huge boxes for like one lipstick. I bet I will have ordered and rec'd my Starflash before this stuff gets here. <--to Nordies

I ordered bras and jeans from Nordstrom the first day of the sale and they still have not even shown that the items are sent. It makes me furious!! Seriously for $8 shouldn't the shipping be a little faster? I try to never order things from their website or catalog because the shipping always takes forever.

Re: MAC - Colour Forms Discussion

We will get Colour Forms here next Saturday, August 2nd, and I am really excited for the eye palette and the brush sets!

Re: MAC - Colour Forms Discussion

oooh tea time with nice vice! sounds AWESOME! (i am drawn in by the pigments, so Gilded Green and Tea Time are ones I'm thinking about getting!)

I always go semi-matchy matchy with my paintpots and shadows, but I really think I should try mixing it up like you've suggested here!

Yep! Every time I have ever ordered from them - it takes FOREVER They seriously need to change the shipping to actually fit the size of the order. Maybe if they would use a box SMALLER than the size of your house, the rates would be cheaper

Yes. It looks like my order has been shipped from two different places and its taking forever. They sent my one lipstick in a big box. Now I'm waiting for the rest. I finally recieved an email that the rest would arrive soon. Usually Nordstroms is good and quick with shipping...

Nordstrom can be quick with their shipping, but sometimes it takes forever!!!!
I think you are better off calling the store & ordering it directly through a MA at the counter(they charge you the same anyway)
And their new $8 shipping charge sucks!!! It kills me to spend $8 to ship 1 thing(fo basically $22 + tax for 1 lipstick!?! I might as well get it from ebay) & then it shows up in this huge-ass box rolling/rattling around. Not good Nordstom, and they NEVER have any times when they offer free shipping like so many other major dept stores do *rant over*

Ill be honest with you, its hit or miss. Seriously. I've gotten sets with "good to ok" brushes and sets with brushes with handles that fall out, they shed etc. These mini-brushes never seem to be the same quality as the full size.

I love MAC brushes IMMENSLY but... yes, there is a but.. When I was at The Makeup Show-NYC this past May, I got a SLEW of brushes from CROWN and ya know, I love em. I really do. Royal makes some incredibly nice brushes too..

Its because they tend to ship out of different stores. It depends on stock. If one store has some of the items available, they will ship some of the items from that location & the rest from another location. I've had this happen to me quite a few times, where I received a couple of items within 2 days & the rest of my order 1.5 weeks later. It can be so frustrating though, ITA!

I've had a chance to use these two pigments a few times & I loooove both of them so far! Tea Time is such a beautiful neutral brown. I want to compare the texture/finish of it to Your Ladyship from Antiquitease (which is one of my faves because of the way it sparkles). Its a sheer brown though with those same sparkles in it. Gilded Green = loooove. I used it with Sprout e/s, Juxt e/s, Warm Chill e/s and Humid e/s & it really completed the all over green look for me.

I had placed 3 orders and they did ship them all seperatly but I got them on the same day. I had my steel blue on b/o and got a card yesterday saying they didnt have that item anymore. Those were the one's I had pre-ordered weeks before. I've tried all 4 of the new colors and they all look great together, even the Royal Flush that I didnt think I'd like. I do like tea time and circa plum the best though.
