In 11 years of buying Mac I have returned something 1 time!. I dont post here alot but I know many of you got duped and this might help. I told them I would even show them or mail them my store reciept for the $30 difference and they didnt have to pay me back the taxe money and they still said no. I dont know where to post this but if someone does, please pass it on.

Why don't you just return it? I have a feeling that all of these complaints for case#88466 will just ensure Nordies charges the same price in the future. That is rude MAC won't reimburse you.

I agree. If they will not reimburse you, I would return them and buy them at Nordstrom.

I am surprised that Nordstrom was able to sell these for less than what MAC had them priced at. However, I have a feeling that after this, it will likely not happen again. We'll see.

Eep, coffee. I don't do well with coffee. Especially espresso - that shit makes me nuts. Why, I have no idea, as a cup of coffee has more caffeine than a shot of espresso, but there's something about it...

My favourite drink I've had from starbucks would have to be an iced nonfat chai latte.

i'm sorry, but i totally disagree. yes, its unfair that nordies did that, and according to mac, they are allowed to set their own prices (which is strange cuz this has never happened before). so, why are you upset at mac for not reimbursing you when they told you they have no control over what nordies does-they're their own entity and set their own rules? and the price difference in no way unfair to loyal mac customers! maybe if mac as a whole gave a discount to new customers, then yes, that'd be unfair to the loyals. if you bought jeans at one department store and found em cheaper at a different store, are you gonna go back to the first store and ask for the difference? no. and if you would, then somethings wrong there. in no way is the first store obligated to match the price, unless of course they say they price match.

so you can either waste the time and gas to return the two you bought and buy them cheaper at nordies, or just realize that you, like many other people, paid retail price for them and others lucked out in nordies stupidity (mac is seriously pissed at them for doing this).

RSS just got released today here... and OMG the RSS lippie is gorgeous, gorgeous, gorgeous.

i bought one just on sight as the counter didn't have the tester up on the floor yet, luckily it looks good on!

two of the eyeshadow palettes may have also jumped into that purchase

So douglas still doesn't want my money so I had to went to the store and bought two Stark Nakeds!


I would have bought the Cool Eye Palette, too but the reader for ec and credit cards didn't work so they only can accept cash today.
What a horrible situation for the store especially when the holiday collections start and the people buy a lot more and want to use plastic money!

Eep. It's always frustrating as an employee when working somewhere that the credit card/debit machine isn't working properly - so many customers are nasty about it.

Yes but the nice MAs can't change it when the machine is on strike or maybe already on holiday vacation ?

For me it was no problem because I got the most important item and I had enough cash with me for that (If I skipped the tea shopping before I could have bought the palette but its cold.. I need tea! ) but maybe some customers aren't as calm and complain about that they now have to go to the next bank. There were already some people in front of the store before it opens waiting to shop for the holiday collections and I am sure that there will be a lot more customers today than usual. I hope they stay calm. If the machine isn't working there is nothing that the MAs can do besides call for someone to fix it.

Douglas still isn't working so there it is.. the German holiday fiasco part two!
