There must have been a major snafu in the packaging for these. Having done all my bitching now, I am happy to say that I love all the new pigments and wasn't going to get the mega-rich, but when I swiped it, it became a lighter version of ALL that I wish Off the radar had been, with shimmer! Off the radar was too dark without the shimmer. Mega-Rich looks like an orange cremsicle . lol....I love them all. Screw the sizes, we all complained, but we bought them anyway, didn't we?
on about 5 or 6 of the pigments, they have the wrong scu #. what we did at my counter was to draw a line thru the barcode so that we wouldn't scan the wrong #. that way when we saw the line, we knew to type in the correct scu instead of scanning the wrong one. that's what we did, so others may or may not have done the same thing.

and incase anyone was wondering, the incorrect scu # rings at $19.50.

Hey fello Ottawa girl
I usually get mine from the Bayshore counter coz I live close to there. But this time I got my pigments from the St-Laurent counter coz it was on my way to my mechanic. I don't understand this whole black marker thing at all. I need to go back and get Heritage Rouge and this time, I will go to Bayshore.

I didn't swatch the two together, but just eyeballing it, they looked very similar to me.
I wish I could say with 100% certainty, but maybe someone could swatch it for you?

they are. people were just curious as to why there was a black line thru some of the barcodes, and incase some people were thinking it may have been something to do with the price, i was just saying it wasn't.

Re: MAC - Overrich Discussion

Did anyone else find that Blonde's Gold looks similar to Jardin Aires? I swatched them both on my hand and they were almost identical.

Oh really? I have JA, but not BG, I'll be very interested to know if others agree with you, bc then I won't need to get BG,

Not that I won't still want it......

Re: MAC - Overrich Discussion

They might look similar (Jardin Aires v Blondes Gold) but there textures are so vastly different that it it worth getting Blondes Gold. It is a finer milled pigment so it goes on a lot more pigment and smoother than Jardin Aires. There isn't a lot of fall out either. IMO Blondes Gold is worth getting.

Re: MAC - Overrich Discussion

I'm in love the the new texture of the overrich pigments. I ordered Blonde's Gold online, I bought Copperbeam at my counter today, and the MA gave me a huge sample of Mega Rich.. (it's a gorgeous color, but I wanted to see how it looks on... but I was in a big hurry today)

I hope they don't sell out fast... I want to get more but have to wait until next week.

Erine, or any other MA's... do you know if this finely-milled texture is going to be for all future pigments or was it just for the overrich ones? The pigmentation is amazing too. Love them!

Thanks!

Re: MAC - Overrich Discussion

LOL!! coachkitten are we enabling now??!!

it's good to know that they are similar though so i wont feel bad about passing that one up.

I love my antique green pigment and think it's the one that worth having the most. I wish i could afford more of these because they are gorgeous...i kind of want vintage gold and heritage rouge but i know i wont use either THAT much so must resist. Im hoping that they will show up in CCO's so i can pick them up then....but we'll see i guess...i know that i wont regret really passing any of the others up.

not all the overrich pigments have this texture. antique green, mega-rich and mauvment don't. some store colors and pro colors also have this creamy texure, so i just think it was the luck of the draw. i wish all pigments, past, present and future, had this texture.

Re: MAC - Overrich Discussion

Well, crud. I guess I need Heritage. And, it sounds like Mega Rich is a must-have?

Re: MAC - Overrich Discussion

Its funny, I ordered Antique Green and Mauvement online and the jars were totally full. Then I went to my local counter and got Blonde's Gold and Vintage Gold and these seemed half full.....odd!

Thanks! I didn't really try mega rich yet, and the other one I didn't get to try was antique green because the counter sold out of it. I definitely need heritage rouge, and museum bronze. Plus if I decide to get mega rich. I totally agree that all pigments should have this texture!

Re: MAC - Overrich Discussion

I am trying to resist Blonde's gold, but I want it SO badly. Hopefully I will still be able to snag one when payday rolls around

Re: MAC - Overrich Discussion

Oh wow.. Blonde's Gold.. *swoon* how I love thee.

I swatched it at the counter today while I was paying for the Studio Talk class I'm taking next weekend. I wanted to grab it, but I'll just use my $50 credit from the class when I go.

It's so gorgeous. I really wish I wouldn't have bought Provence pgmt at the CCO last month. Because I'm definitely getting BG and now I feel like they are pretty similar and I won't be using Provence as much because the texture isn't even close to BG...

Damn! Anyone want to buy provence piggie? lol

Re: MAC - Overrich Discussion

My Mega-Rich was filled all the way to the top. It was one of the fullest pigment jars I think I've ever seen.

Re: MAC - Overrich Discussion

I'm trying so hard to talk myself out of these...and after reading this thread I'm afraid I'm fixing to break lol

I've never tried a MAC pigment before (yep, MAC pigment virgin lol)...I've wanted to many times, but always stayed strong. I keep going back to the swatch thread and drooling over Mega-Rich, Blonde's Gold, Antique Green, and Museum Bronze

I have a baaaaddd feeling I'm fixing to cave on these

Re: MAC - Overrich Discussion

I got mega-rich and heritage rouge to add to my copperbeam and blonde's gold. I think i still want museum bronze and then i'll be done. i love these!!! i normally don't get that excited about pigments either.

Re: MAC - Overrich Discussion

I hope they will be permanent otherwise I don't think I can afford them because CoC is coming, too. A pigment costs 36 $ in my country.
