formal hair-down look (w/ pics) help

hey ladies! i'm a total newb when it comes to styling hair, and i need some detailed help on how to achieve this look (i've got a formal party in boston to go to this coming saturday). i'll take any and all advice.

my hair is naturally pretty curly, so i assume the first thing is to straighten it with my straightening iron. from there idk what to do?

okay well what you can do is grab a part of your hair from the front and make it go on the sides like she has it and tie that in the back..then with your hair that will go in the back i think you should tease it so it can create a sort of poofy look.
