MAC Jet Lipstick

I was just looking at some d/c lipsticks on StrawberryNet and found this one called Jet:

Is it black? Does anyone have a swatch of it? I've been looking for a good black lipstick, so should I buy it?

Its actually a dark dark gunmetal grey when you put it on, I use to have it and it was pretty unflattering but I never used it to darken up other colors.

Thanks. I probably won't get it then because I already have a gun metal grey (Manic Panic's Hells Bells) and I don't use it very much. I was hoping that it was a matte black.

Makeupforever sells a black lipstick, it's not really matte more a MAC Satin finish, but it doesn't have shimmer, so you could put powder over it to make it matte. The color is L86. But you could also try MAC Lipmix in Black

I've used sharkskin shadestick before as a black metallic lipstick. It's alot like jet.

i belive benefit has both a black and a white lipstick to darken and lighten lipstick, but you could always use mac black or white lip mix to do the same thing.
