Period Make-up

Hello all

I have been trying to really get into the different period make-up looks but, I was wondering if there are any good books or websites that give detail information on period make-up like what was hot in the 40's, 50's etc

and missvintage.com (everything from the 20s to the 70s with specifics on Marilyn Monroe).

As for books, I have this one from the fifties about photographic makeup. I forgot what it's called, at the moment, but it features a bunch of Max Factor stuff.

I saw a book at urban outfitters... sounds like the same book freaksinunif0rm was speaking of with the max factor stuff.. not sure.. but check there. it was about 2 months ago. the urban in gallery place.

I thought you meant make-up to wear during your period, lol.

I suggest the book Pretty by Nylon (yes, same makers as the magazine). It contains looks from 20's to the 2000's and which products to use to acheive the look.
