Studio Tech - 'storage' question

Hi everyone,

Wondering if anyone can help me

I always carry my foundation and powder with me (apart from all the other make up necessities) but find the Studio Tech compact taking quite a bit of space in a small bag.
I'm about to scoop some out to carry with me in my bag but as it is a waterbased foundation I'm wondering if the Studio Tech compact is airtight or not...

So, my question is: what kind of 'container' can I use as an alternative?

I have a small cute 'gold' compact which isn't airtight, would that work or would the foundation dry out?

Do I perhaps need to put it in a screw-top container such as a MAC sample pot?

I would keep it in a screw-top container. That would be more air-tight. Though the Studio Tech container isn't completely air-tight, when the Studio Tech is exposed to a lot of air, it tends to dry up a bit and turn slightly orange from oxidation.
