Here's a suggestion so that doesn't happen again - Go to Michaels or Ben Franklin craft stores and get a tape dispenser of "Tombo Mono Adhesive" (in the scrapbook section - cost like $4) - apply it to the bottom of your pan and then insert it in your pallette - I guarantee your pans will not fall out again! You can also remove them easily when their empty by sticking an exacto (not sure if spelled this right) in the side and lifting.

I'm so sorry. That's so tragic! Dropping and breaking/spilling is also one of my makeup fears.
