Is there anything you could use before applying foundation that covers all the enlarged pores?

    Hi, everyone
I don't find it attractive when I see the enlarged pores on cheeks though foundation. I wonder if there is anything that can be used under it that will cover them completely. Had any experience with that?
    Thanks a lot.

I apply my foundation with a paddle-type foundation brush (Chanel #6) by first patting it into my pores, and then smoothing it with the same brush. Then I use a blending brush (Chanel #7). My results are pretty good.

Primer does help to 'fill in' the pores, and you can also make pores go away simply by brushing the foundation into your skin using circular movements until the pores literally disappear. You will need a brush like a stippling brush (not a flat foundation brush) to be able to do so.

Have a look here, you might wnat to forward the video to 2:20h to see how this simple technique makes pores disappear.

I would invest in a pore reducing/minimising moisturiser or primer. I'm sure there are plenty options out there. I think a moisturiser with spf would better than a primer imho

i use a base from sephora.. its applies smoothly and makes the pores seem smaller, not to mention that the foundation goes on smoother too.

    Great advice!
Here's yet another tutorial on the technique

I use the Dior full coverage foundation brush for this work, fast and reliable.
Here's a comparison of the Dior vs Shiseido versions of the same idea

omg I Love Wayne's videos (youtube: gossmakeupartist). He has a couple of tutorial on minimizing pores, and it's all about application. I finds his videos incredibly helpful, especially because usually the things you learn don't involve going and and getting new products (but I kinda can't help it and do anyway... .
