Hi everyone :)
I'm new to this forum. And I think I soon will be spending a bit too much time here ;)
But first, I really need some help. I have to Chanel lipsticks, one rouge hydrabase and one aqualumiere. And I ned help checking if they are fake or not. Will any of you be able to help me, if I write a bit about them and why they might be fake, maybe post a few pictures?

Yikes. They were discontinued so long ago. I only ever had one Aqualumiere and don't remember very much about it. Hope someone else -- maybe Monsy? -- may be able to help. :)

Yes, and it is almost impossible to find information about them.
Well, they do not have the logo inside the cap. But I am not sure if Chanel started using this with the Rouge Coco, or it was also used before?
Second, they have some white numbers written on them. What are those?
Then they feel lighter than other Chanel lipsticks - but that's compared to newer lipsticks.
And then the sticker on them is round, not square.

If anyone has any photos of these lipsticks (that they are certain are not fake) I would really appreciate it if you would post them :)

A few photos... anyone, who has a few thoughts about them? Look fake or not?

Or photos of any other NOT fake Chanel lipstick that has the white numbers and/or round sticker :)

I just had to register to reply because I happen to have a very old Rouge Hydrabase (less than 20 years maybe )and a semi-very old one (10 years or less:D)
They were bought at Chanel counters. They both do not have the logo inside the cap. The stickers are round with white lettering. I also have a good collection of Aqualumieres and the stickers on those are also round with gold lettering and no logo inside cap either. But they do have numbers on the inside tube.

I bought them from a private person. She seemed very honest, had sold a number of lipsticks, and is still claiming they are not fake.
But the problem for me now is that I sold them to someone else, who is now, after several months, claiming they are fake. If they are, of course I will pay her they money back, but I am just not sure, they are fake, since one store told me they are not, and another told her that they are.

This is a bit of a strange question tbh. Chanel lipsticks are very rarely faked and if they are, it's very obvious when you look at them. With a bit of ground work, it's very easy to Google those colours you have and see that they both are completely legitimate and 100% authentic.

ChanelAddict: I agree. The colours are an exact match. And they smell nice, not chemical or anything as I've read most fakes do.

I have seen many without the numbers. But I have also seen several on different blogs and forums with reviews, where the - according to the blogger - real lipsticks does have those numbers. And I doubt a blogger would review fake lipsticks..?

I remember Karen (makeupandbeautyblog) reviewed those Aqualumieres. She took a lot of pictures of them in the store display, and she did a few posts on them, maybe it could help you

I could not find anything on the blog to answer my questions, but I have tried to contact her. Thank you for your suggestion :)

Sorry you couldn't find anything with Karen. I remember being obsessed with those Aqualumieres about a year after they were discontinued and comparing Karen's photos to those on eBay/Amazon lol. Never ended up buying one though lol

I know there were various YouTube videos on the Aqualumieres that still might be up if you search there

I posted a reply 2 days ago with pictures of my authentic Hydrabase and Aqualumieres but I can't find it anywhere. They have the round stickers but looks different than yours. They do not have the CC marking on the inside of the caps either. Only the Aqualumieres have the white numbers on the tube.
