Chanel Neapolis Spring 2018

I'm wondering when the collection will hit stores. I'd rather buy this collection in-store since I've been neglecting my Chanel counter. I did notice that some products that have been on my wishlist for some time have disappeared from the Chanel site so I may just place an order for what is left. I may or may not add some products from this collection to the order.

I hope you can get your wishlist items elsewhere, and that you can check out the collection!

I can't believe I have things in my cart that should be easy skips lol

There are quite a few things that don't have the limited edition label on them so that it helping me hold off a bit.

No. I'm not interested in the eye palette but in a Live Chat on chanel.com yesterday Nero Vulcanico was described to me as "a gorgeous heathered grey with blue undertone", and I may get that. I'm going to try the blush again in natural light because what's left on my brush looks really pretty. I did get and like Arancio Vibrante nail polish, but Entusiasta Ink is just too bright and jarring looking for my taste. I suppose I might feel differently if it was actually Spring/Summer, but it's not and I'm having trouble transporting myself!

I've basically ruled out the eye palette as having too many dark and warm colors. And was thinking about that Yeux Stylo too. It looks black in a lot of swatches. Might have to go to the counter to try it.

I was short on time but here are a few swatches and thoughts... The whacky department store lighting wasn't fully co-operative with the exception of the nail polishes but the pics are close to real life.

Incantevole - beautiful pink toned red. I didn't buy it as I haven't worn reds much lately but I'm still tempted. More pink in person than this swatch.

The pink and the green polishes which I briefly thought I could skip upon first sight (prior to swatching). Of course, I bought both.

Rouge Allure Velvet #65 L'Aristocatica - straight up warm pastel peach. Not for me. Reminded me of that Orange MAC lipstick collection several years ago.

I briefly swatched Foschia Rosa blush and it is definitely more orange than pink on me but swatched like silk which surprised me as it looked matte in the pan. I will need to go back and check it out again. It looked glowy, easily blendable and buildable.

Thank you, Miss Tania! :D
I love the polishes (Chanel colours are gorgeus, but I think that Dior polishes are better, they last more, do you agree?) and L'Aristocratica. Waiting for this colection to arrive here...

I got it (although it arrived cracked) and it really is just a very dark grey, not at all the way the chanel.com live chat person described it.

That stinks!

Yeah, I didn’t even bother to call them, just sent it back as defective and explained it was cracked. A big chunk fell off when I opened it. I think it probably froze getting to me given the temps. I’ll order another one eventually. I liked it, it just wasn’t what I was expecting after the chat.

Oh sorry it was cracked. I'm looking out for all my shipments due to this freezing weather.

Did you like it? I've found that grey liners can stand out from the upper lash line in a way that I don't love. But if it was a blue green grey, it would matter less because I could wear it on the lower lash line.

Thank you for those swatches, Miss Tania. I am seeing the pink nail color as a slightly more amped nude and a cool toned one at that. The formula does not sound that good though. But I am tempted.

Did anyone get Verdarame? I wanted it right when I saw this collection but now questioning how much I would wear it...

Saw the look today. I think the colors are a little gloomy. I bought Rouge Allure Incantevole. :)

Does anyone know when the collection should be on counter in the UK? I'm a little disappointed with the price of the Affresco palette here though. I'll be hoping a friend finds it in duty free come February when she goes on holiday :)

You're welcome! I definitely prefer Dior polishes I like the thicker formula and they last longer than Chanel for sure. I'm yet to try either of my new Chanel ones but maybe later today!
