question: has anyone gotten an order cancellation of any kind for their khaki purchases?

at this point i don't even know if it even is a cancellation...i got the cancellation email and in the email the only thing listed was one of the samples that i chose...which i don't really care about. but when I go on chanel.com there are two orders listed, Wxxxxxxxx_1 and Wxxxxxxxx...where all the numbers are the same....both orders have the same things in them (my khaki polishes order) but the order number that ends in _1 indicates that it's been cancelled...

has anyone had this happen to them ever? does it actually mean your order is cancelled or did they just accidentally create a "duplicate" order?

That stone/vanilla color (on the top) in the SOHO face palette is such a beautiful highlight! I know we all have a gazillion highlight shades, but this one is so perfect. It just lights/brightens the face when used on cheekbones & around the eyes. And, I love the fact that its not shimmery like most hl that only go into or accentuate lines etc. I'm thinking about getting one for my DIL for Christmas

Hello my fellow Chanel junkies!! I just joined Specktra yesterday and I'm looking forward to getting caught up on this thread and getting to know you all better. I just fell fast and hard for Chanel several months ago and I'm loving it. My favourites from the line would have to be the Rouge Coco lipsticks. I have many JC's and quads as well as some Glossimers.
I haven't had any luck with foundations since they didn't have any light enough until the new Diaphane shade of Vitalumiere and I find it too greasy :-(
Can't wait to discover new loves from you ladies and hopefully my bank account (and husband) will forgive you ;-) LOL

I'm not feeling the holiday quad too. Maybe Tweed Fuchsia, Magnolia, Charming and Pink Pulsion for me.

As for the Soho collection, I want Stupendous, Stunt, Soho powder, and maybe Stunning, Star and Steel. Still waiting from swatches of Stunt from the ladies here.

I see there is a Recommendations area on Specktra but I thought this may be the best place to try. I'm looking to add 2-3 Rouge Coco's to my collection since I can't seem to wear anything but them these days since I'm in LOVE.

I currently have:
Chalys
Chintz
Cambon
Orchidee

I would love to get a nice variety of shades with nothing too pale as it washes me out and nothing too frosty. I'm pretty neutral (NW/NC10) I have light orangy red hair and pale blue eyes. Out of the ones I have I love the finish of Chalys the best. Beautiful suble shimmer and coverage. I like Chintz the least as I find it is creamier than my other RC's and has too much slip.

I've checked out the Chanel swatch thread too which is amazing and I will add the swatches of my collection as soon as I can.

mrslid, I think you might like Stunning (pink beige) from the Soho collection. Has MUA crashed for you? I can't get on there right now but someone posted earlier that the Soho collection is supposed to come to Bergdorf's in a few weeks, so even though it's sold out right now on Chanel you can probably get it there (and maybe they will restock on Chanel too).

This exact same thing has happened to me quite a few times now. When this happens it just means the sample item you wanted was no longer in stock, so they create a new version of your order minus that one sample (usually replacing it with something else).

Every time my order arrives complete, just missing the 1 sample item that was out of stock and canceled. It's not a duplicate order so no worries there. It's just how their system works when samples run out. As usual, the Chanel site over-complicates and confuses everyone.

I LOVE the look of Stunning! but I'm in Canada so I don't think I can get it. I usually order my Chanel from Neiman Marcus as it has free shipping to Canada and the prices work out far cheaper than purchasing in Canada which I have a hard time doing as well since I don't have a counter anywhere close to me. I'm in the middle of nowhere so I rely on online shopping and researching shades online since I don't have an opportunity to see them in person.

You already have a few of my favorite RC's, but I agree with Miss QQ...Mademoiselle is awesome! Legende is another shade that gets lots of love (and is the first color on my RC list to get when I can). Also, if you haven't already, check out these swatches:

They've been super helpful for me and I find myself looking at them over and over again and adjusting my Chanel wish list almost daily.

Thanks! Yes Mademoiselle was at the top of my list. I was thinking maybe it and then Secret or Cashmere (not sure which would be better) and then Bois des Iles?

Thank you! I've noticed Legende seems pretty popular but wondered if it would be too OTT pink? Not that pink looks bad on me but because of my colouring everything ends up darker and much more vibrant on me.

I LOVE using Karla's swatches as a reference too since she has colouring closer to me than a majority of the other swatchers out there.

Hi and welcome! I haven't been able to get on this forum as much lately -- I have lots of catching up to do!
I got a sample of Legende and it is really pretty. It is a deeper raspberry pink on me. It seems to have a hint of golden sheen. Really pretty -- it is a brighter pink on me and not something I'd wear every day. I tried it with a sheer pink gloss on top and that really toned it down. Hope that helps

Do any of you use Chanel foundations? I'm always trying to find the perfect foundation and so far, everything has been "ok". I've decided the great foundation hunt will be over before 2011, so I need to start kicking my search into high gear.

I found this Chanel foundation chart on Karla's site:

Really helpful formula wise, but now I'm left wondering...are they any good?

If you use a Chanel foundation (or have in the past), what are your thoughts? Do they have good wear time? Do they oxidize? How was the formula and coverage? Do you prefer another brand?

I'll be heading out sometime this week to get a few samples, but I'd love to hear what you guys think (as always!). Love you guys!

I have Teint Innocence in Albatre. Its a beautiful slight luminous semi sheer coverage. Does not oxidize on me & wears pretty well.
But yet, I always look for something more 'perfect'

even though I normally don't wear any foundation.

I swatched Secret a while ago, so not sure if I'm remembering correctly, but I tried it on, and it didn't really show up on my lips. They're quite pigmented though and my skintone is deeper (nc25).

I just called the flagship Holt Renfrew in TO to ask about Stunning RC, and she said they never even got any in! They still have the highlight powder, the glossimer and Steel n/l for anyone that is interested.

Boo.

Megan, I tried Chanel's Teint Innocence as well, but that one broke me out quite a bit. If you're at all prone to breaking out, just thought I'd throw out a word of caution. Otherwise, it's a really nice foundation!

OH I didn't realize they even got the SOHO collection at Holt's??!! I thought only Chanel.com and the NY boutique got it? GRR I guess I was mainly interested in the RC so knowing wouldn't have helped if they never got any :-(

How is the highlighter? I'm on the hunt for a highlighter. Natural and glowy not sparkly. Is this a good one to go for or is there a better option out there?

Oh yeah I have pigmented lips too so maybe those shades should be crossed of my list. They may be too "nude" for me.
