Oh man, this soho collection seems more interesting that I thought. I want Stunning lipstick and Star glossimer! The quad looks good, but I think I can resist.

Good morning ladies! Hope everyone had a good weekend.
I decided last night to do a pedi using Chanel's Kaleidoscope n/p. This is only the second time I've put it on and OMG is it ever metallic! DH called the look "robot toes"! Such a pretty colour though, goes on beautifully and looks really nice with black sandals!

I've just gotten my first Nars blush, Deep Throat and it looks really close to In Love JC. Ladies who have both, or seen them before, are they alike? I will sell DT to my friend if it is just like In Love.

Ugh, well Nordies was a failure. No one was at the Chanel counter (it was an hour before they closed, but still!), and the RA Extraits were not out. I did get a Bobbi Brown Metallic Eye Shadow, though. Now I'm stuck in a hotel for the next day-and-a-half.
Turns out going through Kansas City only added an extra 20 minutes on to out trip, so I'm going to try to finagle Vince into going home through KC and stopping by Nordies again. Maybe someone will be there in the afternoon, and they'll have gotten some new stuff.

Ugh why do I torment myself. I keep going on Chanel.com and filling up my shopping cart with stuff I can't order because they don't ship to Canada grrr. Then SoHo collection Stupendous Quad and the Soho blush/highlighter is actually in stock right now for anyone interested who can ACTUALLY order it LOL. Stunt RA shows back order and I couldn't even find the Stunning RC for some reason?
I'm excited to get the new RC's I ordered last week from Neiman Marcus. Hopefully they show up this week. I decided on Mademoiselle, Bois des Iles, Organdi Rose and Sycamore. After I ordered I actually arranged swaps for Cashmere and Muse so I'm pretty excited about my growing RC collection (I already have Cambon, Orchidee, Chalys and Chintz). I'm so in love with the RC formula that I have a hard time wearing any of my other lipsticks LOL. I'll be sure to post swatches once they all arrive. I took swatch pics of all my JC's this weekend so hopefully I can get them labelled and posted soon.

That's so disappointing! I hate that! I was at a Chanel counter like 6 mths ago, (I'm at least 1.5 hours from the nearest one), and there was no one there! I went back a couple times and no one. I was sooooo frustrated!

I was disappointed. The girls at Bobbi Brown offered to help, but since I wanted to ask about the Soho Collection, I figured it would be better to ask an actual Chanel SA. Oh well, hopefully hubby won't mind going home via Kansas City, again. There's a delicious gelato store in KC that I want to swing through, also. He might indulge me for gelato!

Great news!! That means I'll be stalking department store sites for the launch.
I still have Khaki Rose on, and the SA who helped me at Bobbi Brown loved it! It looks much more rosy when it's against something pink. I couldn't believe how much more rose it looked when I had my hands next to the rosy-colored shirt I wore yesterday. Not my favorite Chanel polish, but I like that it's different.

Its so weird - it seems as though NM is really behind on getting anything new from Chanel on their site

Khaki Rose definitely changes depending on the lighting you're in & like Karin said clothing colors.
I hope the Macys lady is right too - she was pretty pretty sure, which she never really is about anything

Hey everyone,
After hearing the life changing news that the Rouge Hydrabase had been discontinued, I decided to check out the replacements.
Chanel have helpfully put the Rouge Cocs right in the place of the Hydrabase (on their stand) so you aren't confused as to what is taking over your old range. From my initial viewing, it seems that Coco has more range than Hydrabase as before I think they had two rows of 8 or 9 whereas now they have a square formation of a lot more than 8 or 9. They have a colour which matches up to the one my mum used to love so she is happy. I'm quite pleased that Chanel have gotten rid of something but made sure that the new range includes colours from the old range, I've never known a brand to do that before.

Glad your mom found something comparable. Some brands do try to replace shades from an older product line, especially if it was a top seller. I know Lancome and Dior both have colours that have remained constant despite changes in formula over the years. Some colours just don't go out of style!

I did use a topcoat! I swear! It was OPI's rapid dry. But I've been thinking of getting the Seche Vite. I even buffed my nails before applying the colour. Usually I don't like to do a base + 2 coats of colour + a top coat because I find that it'll just peel off.
What's your holy grail Chanel polish? I don't think I've found one that justifies the $$ yet. Yet I'm willing to buy more!

I've always avoided buffing before applying polish because I just assumed the glossy finish would make it harder for the np to adhere but I'm not a "nail person" so I could be way off base on that one. Maybe someone more knowledgable can chip in. I hope the Seche Vite is all it's cracked up to be because I ordered it last week and I'm hoping it will make painting my nails with my hectic schedule a possibilty...maybe then I'll become a "nail person"....
