You will love them!

I know. The last two items I bought from MAC are Stereo Rose and Petticoat this summer and all my money goes to Chanel, but I need to stop too!

Megan, enjoy your trip with your hubby and happy anniversary! Try not to think about anything else and focus on the positive. I hope everything turns out okay.

Michelle, you look gorgeous! You're going to love Mystic Eyes. The silver shade is stunning!

So we're in the new place. It's been extremely tiring, cleaning and slowly unpacking (though we still have so much stuff still in boxes). We're still waiting on quite a bit of furniture, including our kitchen table (we had purchased one, but it was too big!). So we're kinda camping out in the family room for now!!! The bedrooms are pretty much set up though, so the nights are comfortable, except for all the new noises I hear in the night that I'm not used to yet, lol!

Camping out in the family room sounds like fun & something the kids would really like. I'm so happy for your family! I was like that too with the 'new noises'

Thanks ladies!

I'm not quite sure yet what the noises are, probably the house settling, but last night I heard a rather loud noise, could've been the ice maker in the fridge, but whatever the noise, since the house is so empty, there's a loud echo! Naturally dh sleeps through everything. I'm the one that'll jump out of bed and have a look around, lol!

It is fun picking out furniture, but at the same time, i hate making that final decision because whatever i pick, I know that'll be it for a loooong time! I've already kinda changed my mind on the sofa we picked for the family room, and it was a custom order, so there' no taking it back!

BTW, wanted to wish all my fellow Canadian Chanel loving ladies a very Happy Thanksgiving! Hope your bellies are full of turkey and all the trimmings!

Yay for the new house, Nora!!

We have 1/4 of a new house (sort of). The front is entirely painted and tomorrow the shutters will go up. Still three sides to go, but it already looks like a new house! I'm soooooo freaking tired.

^^You ain't lyin'! We rented scaffolding, and that has really made a difference. Still, that scaffolding is heavy to move (each piece is about 50 lbs.)...we're far more tired from moving it around than from the actual painting.

I bet you're beyond tired! It'll be so worth it though, once you see the results of all your hard work! Do be careful though as Winthrop mentioned!

And did ya get your cats to help out with the painting?!

No help from the kitties. We debated attaching paintbrushes to their tails, but we don't have enough to go around.

Plus, they take too many nap breaks.

Good for you doing that yourselves. Just the thought of it is making me tired. I can't imagine doing that myself. UGH!! More $$ saved for Chanel though right

on the new house. That will be stressful making decisions on furniture and other decor but also so exciting!! Have fun with it!

I only know now that the date of Canadian Thanksgiving is different from the US! No Thanksgiving here though, but I enjoy reading about the celebrations and parades.

Yep, we have a rather early thanksgiving. I think there's pros and cons to both. I like that we have ours right when the leaves are changing but are still for the most part on the trees. The weather's also decent. We usually do a nice family road trip somewhere out of the city. But then I also like the idea of having thanksgiving so much closer to Christmas the way it is in the U.S. Either way, it's a long weekend and I looove me some turkey with stuffing and cranberry sauce!

So, I just placed myself a nice little congratulatory order because I tentatively have a job!!!!!! All I need to do is to pass an FBI background investigation. I got myself the Chanel Enigma quad and Rouge Fatal, and somehow the two Dior holiday polishes and a couple Burberry items worked their way into my order, too...well, I had to order enough from Nordies to get free shipping.

I can't wait until I get the official offer. I'm going to splurge a little on some clothes. Soo excited!!

I'll be especially interested to know if the silver Dior polish is close to Kaleidoscope.
