Elegant -- good luck with your bathroom re-do! You are ambitious to take down all of the wallpaper! I'm sure everything will turn out beautifully!
smiles.gif

Karin -- yay -- so glad work is going well. Let us know how you like your new goodies!

MissQQ -- I love that link with the pic of Keira Knightly. Lucky girl will all of her Chanel clothes and makeup!

Sailordom -- you are sweet to rescue that kitty! We had a precious little kitty that wanted to adopt us, but one of my girls and myself are so allergic. My girls were devastated we couldn't keep it.

Hope all of you are doing well and have a fabulous weekend! Yesterday I did a Bake for the Cure auction for Breast Cancer Awareness. I am now officially exhausted!! I would love it if Chanel would come out with a perfect pink lipstick for Breast Cancer Awareness month!!

Hi Ladies!

The hubby and I are home from Vegas (we decided to stay an extra few days). We had such a fantastic time! We stayed at the Bellagio in a suite that was just incredible, enjoyed some of the best food we've ever had, I got to shop like crazy, we actually won a good chunk of change from gambling (never our luck, but it was this time!), and best of all...we got to celebrate our anniversary and really enjoy some quality "us" time. I'm SO tired from the endless miles of walking, but it was just a great trip. We love Vegas and go quite often, but this trip was special.

Nora, congrats on the move in and your recent Anniversary!
Karin, Congrats on the job! What great news, and an even better haul or 2.

I hope everyone is doing great! I missed Specktra (so much catching up to do!) and all of the Chanel ladies!

I played with Chanel's holiday collection and picked up Magnolia, Pink Pulsion, Pleasing and Pulsion. Love everything, and I may order the quad once I get more settled in and totally unpacked. I really liked it, but I wanted to check out my entire stash to check for dupes before getting it. I got a ton of stuff from MAC Pro and this adorable MA took me to the back room to check out the holiday stuff...love it! I pre-ordered what I wanted along with a few gifts and he gave me his cell phone # to call with any questions or to hear the latest info on upcoming collections, so fab!

The new site will have to grow on me, I'm all confused at the moment but I'm sure that will get better quickly. I'm off to try to catch up some here and get a Sephora F&F order in.

Big hugs to all!

Hi, I hope everyone is doing well.

Meg, hope you had a great trip to Vegas, it definitely sounds like it. Is the shopping trip for TT with your hubby in a kilt still on
sneaky.gif

Just recovering from a hair situation, I decided to cut my hair short on a whim and when I came back I was not sure if I like it. Get's better though.

Is anyone of you using the loose Chanel powder? Do you like it? Is it drying? Can you use it when you have dry skin?
And which shade would you recommend for a NC15/20?

Sorry for all the questions, TIA.

Meg -- so glad you had such a fun time in Vegas and were able to pick up some Chanel goodies. YAY!! My husband is at a training for work right now in Vegas -- too bad he won't get to do anything fun -- just work stuff. I'm still trying to get used to the site also . . .

Bis -- are you getting used to your new hair style?? I hope you love it. I've never tried the Chanel powder -- let us know what you find out!

Hope you are getting used to your new hairstyle. It gets much better when you know how to style it the way you like it to be!

I use 20 Clair for their loose powder and isn't drying for me. This shade matches my skintone, so it doesn't make me whiter/tanner and I like that. Recently, there are two new shades of this powder, Rose Clair and Peche Clair, are launched with the Vitalumiere Aqua foundation here. Rose Clair is more pink, while Peche is more peach, and looks whiter on me. Not sure if it has launched elsewhere. You can take a look at the shades here.

Forgot to mention, the powder gives a smooth and flawless finish. If you just need light coverage on some days, you can just apply the powder and the face is soft and smooth.

Btw, where is Eugenia? Haven't seen her here for some time.

Yes, you are right, I think it was mainly the styling when I left the hairdressers that was not me. And now I look less like Shayne

Thanks for your feedback on the powder, I like what you tell me

I will try to get a sample if they can from the powder. Do you also have the MSFN from MAC by any chance? If you do, how would you compare them? Good to hear that you can wear the powder on its own as I normally do not wear makeup.

Hope Eugenia is ok.

Hi everyone!!! It's been a while since I've posted in this thread. I've been trying to keep up with a few threads the last few days, but haven't had much time to post. We've been so busy unpacking, since we only have a couple hours in the evenings and the weekends! I honestly spent 9 hours straight yesterday unpacking and cleaning the house!

I'll also be taking a bit of a break from buying any make-up for a while. There are still so many things we need, even though we've gotten most of the bigger items out of the way. But it's non-stop! Even the little things add up, like a few new towels, plastic trays to organize drawers and cupboards, bed linens, and on and on! I did pick up Magnolia RC today, but that'll be it for a while.

Hope everyone is doint well. I too was wondering about Eugenia and Cheryl. Hope they're okay and will pop in soon!

Hey guys,

I spent a little time at the Chanel Counter in Nordies (at The Grove) and I nearly bought the Teint Innocence. Does anyone here use it? I need medium to full coverage.

He's so excited about the whole thing...it's like he's a little kid dressing up for school or something. SO cute! I'll be trying to snap a few pictures so we'll see what I can get away with!
sneaky.gif

I just chopped my hair too! It was super long (I was sitting on it, etc.) and it was time for something new. I cut around 20ish inches off and donated that to Locks of Love and my hair is now a little longer than collar bone length with tons of layers and thick side swept bangs. It was a huge change, but I LOVE it. The hubby thinks it's sexy and he can't stop playing with it, so that's an added bonus. I hope you love your new hair once the shock and new-ness wears off. I'm sure styling it your own way will really help!

I remember asking about the loose powder a bit ago and got some great responses that I can't find anymore.

I'll be trying it when my current powder runs out and I'd love to hear what you think if you try it. I'm sick of the whole white "translucent" powder thing...even on my super pale skin the white powders makes me look terrible and ashy. Time to move on and find something better!

Hey, random, did any of you get anything from Sephora's F&F sale? I just finished up my last order for this year (I budget for this sale all year long, lol) and I can't wait to get some of the new goodies. I'd love to hear what, if anything, you guys picked up!

Wow that would be a shocker to cut that much hair off - but I bet you still look adorable
smiles.gif
We'll have to change the hair on your paper bag look now
girlhaha.gif

From the Sephora F&F, I got some Bobbi Brown shimmer blushes Coral, Pink, and Wine & Calypso Glaze ls & Tarte Mascara that everyone raves about that I have been wanting to try. And - I got my Sephora birthday gift even though I am not sure I will like the colors that they send. Its an es, el, & mascara. but I will still be thankful. I got my Smashbox birthday freebie today when I ordered a fair/nude lipliner
greengrin.gif

I had just ordered all 4 Fusion blushes & 3 Fusion lip balms 2 weeks before I knew about the sale

The hair change was a shocker, for sure! I'm so glad I did it though, I really really love it. It's flirty and spunky and so much easier to handle.

The paper bag will need a total alteration! Maybe I'll even turn it into a mask on a Popsicle stick to hold in front of my face and I can sweep my hair in front of each side for more of a "real" feel.
lol.gif

Awesome Sephora haul! I'll be interested to hear what you think of all the new goodies. I got a mix of make-up and skincare items and I think I'm the most excited about trying a new concealer (I decided on Diorskin Nude Skin Perfecting Hydrating Concealer...longest name ever, lol). I'm really glad they carry BB now, I want to try more of her things and Sephora availability makes it so much easier. Hey all of the birthday stuff must mean the day is close for you (or I missed it, doh!)...either way HAPPY BIRTHDAY pretty lady!!!!!

Your hubby sounds like a great guy when he is up to something like that
smiles.gif

And you were really changing your hair style! I just went from your current length to short hair and it is a huge change, but from reaaaaaaaally long hair to collar bone length is really different. I guess that you were missing the weight of your hair a lot.
Luckily my bf likes my hair as well and the back of head gets a lot of touching
winks.gif
I am getting used to it, like you girls said finding my way with styling helps a lot.

Will try the search for the powder again, but so far the new site is not liking Safari a lot. Interesting that even though the powders are supposed to be translucent they show up.

No Sephora here, but what did you get

Happy Birthday Elegant_one.

Nora -- Good luck with the rest of the home organization! I know what you mean, all of the little things add up -- but how fun once it is all put together!
smiles.gif
Have you tried Magnolia yet?

Meg -- that is so nice that you donated so much hair to Locks of Love! My hair doesn't ever want to grow very long -- it hovers about an inch or two below my collar bone. I am thinking about getting some of those clip in extensions (my friend uses them and they look so natural).

Elegant -- do you have big plans for your upcoming birthday?? I hope you do something wonderful to celebrate!

Have you got anything planned for the special day? Hope you have a great time no matter where you are!

I only have one BB item, which is the Nectar shimmerbrick. I'm thinking of getting a BB palette this holiday, probably the modern lip & eye palette. Are BB's eyeshadows pigmented and soft like Chanel's newer quads or singles?

as usual. Maybe I should ask for a getaway to Paris :eyeroll: Thanks for thinking of me

Some of BB shadows are quite soft in color/natural, but the pigmentation is usually always very good. Probably more pigmentation than Chanels lately. Her line is definitely quality goods. Those Shimmerbricks are awesome! I have a few. Love Peony too. Her blushes are the most amazing but wearable colors.

My DIL & I both really like it because of the natural kinda glowy finish, but it is def. a sheer to med. coverage. Its pretty on.
