So tell me if I'm in the wrong or not. I have sold a makeup item to someone through pay pal, I got paid and the item has been shipped the next day. Shipping for this item was $12 because the buyer wanted it tracked. So that sucked cuz she said paid $20 for the item, which means I only made $8 profit. Anyways it shipped and it says it will be delivered on the 24th. She then sends me a email saying that she is out of town tell the 4th of January and she wants me to call the postal service and put it on hold or send it to a different address. So I called and they can't really do anything until the package made it's first attempt delivery, now I have to call back again. Like, I understand she doesn't want it to be left out, but I think she could have told me that before I shipped it off and now she wants me to jump through hoops for her. I probably would if I made a lot of money from it but I only made $8. What do you think I should do?.

Hi Sierrao, I personally don't think you're in the wrong. I actually think you've gone the extra mile just to make the calls and attempt to put the package on hold/send to an alternative address. Really she should have mentioned this fact before the item was shipped.

Yea exactly! See I thought I was doing a good thing by shipping it out immediately by apparently with her it's not.

You are not in the wrong, surely the buyer should of told you they were out of town when they paid for the item... It seems a bit of an after thought. You have tried to help but it is now out of your hands. They should understand.

You are definitely not in the wrong. She should have requested that you hold onto package and inform you when she would be back, if it has already has been shipped it is her responsibility to contact the post office to make delivery changes. FYI: if the package is returned back to you, you will have to pay to ship it back, it is her responsibility to pay the fee to have it shipped back and if you or she cancels the sale because of this you only owe her the amount paid for the product and not the shipping charges. P.S. You should always charge the shipping fee to the buyer.
