so i used the Heart code for one order but im trying to place a second one with the betty quad and the 249 brush. it tells me that i dont qualify for the code!? HELP PLEASE the chat is not available today :(
The express shipping codes are usually limited to one-time use per customer. It's a bummer tho for sure!

I only got Prom Princess for cheek items. i feel like i will have skippers regrets but i had to tighten the reigns somewhere cause i really wanted more of the lip products and brush set. if someone wants to trade the coin purse please PM me :) ive got a fabulous stash of BNIB MAC

Well...she's done it...Christine's swatches sucked me into DLG and Mall Madness...and if that weren't bad enough, she sold me on UD Glinda palette.

This is completely random, but I'm sorting out my room and I have about 200+ issues of British Vogue and Elle that I don't know what to do with! When I was younger I used to make scrapbooks with all my favourite images and articles, but I don't think I have enough time now. Any ideas? Currently they're all hiding under my bed

Look up a few issues on Ebay and see how much they sell for. It might be worth listing a few. Even if you only get 99p for each, 99p x 200 = lots of £££ for MAC!

OK so I was sold BEFORE on Mall Madness...I was on the fence with all the hype here and all Christine had to do was flick me over the fence.

Well, elegant-one, it's all your fault

I wandered into sephora yesterday to get the NARS Bouthan e/s duo (two shades of pink) and the Corcovado Soft Touch Shadow Pencil (24 K gold) and ended up not getting either (i've got a lot of pink and a lot of gold eye stuff), but i DID pick up the new NARS Light Reflecting Setting Powder compact.

It is elegantly packaged. There's a neat little soft black fabric - with the NARS logo woven in black - pouch that folds over and an attached black elastic to keep it shut. Inside are two pockets. In one is a moderately large NARS matte black rubber compact with a mirror in its lid and in the other is a very very thin white rectangular applicator.

I'm not sure if the compact going to work for me, though. I wear antioxidant serum and moisturizer, and as i am patting the powder onto my face the applicator picks up some of the skin care product, and when i put it back on the compact for more powder, there's some transfer. I'm concerned this could ruin the powder. I'm going to test it for a few more days, and if my fears are proven to be the case, i'll exchange it for the loose powder.

While i was in sephora a young woman kept sticking her fingers in the tester compact and swiping over and over, trying to get up a load of powder, and then looking at her fingers and not seeing much. I confess i butted in and explained to her it was meant to be sheer and colorless and just provide a soft diffused finish. She looked skeptical...
I just ordered the loose iteration of this powder (elegant-one is quite the pusher---I mean enabler) for the exact reason you noted about the compact & cross contamination. That's pretty funny that the young woman was so perplexed about the powder tester compact. LOL

this one looks very nice with prom princess, i tried the look on twice and the tones in mall madness complement the tones in prom princess, its a very polished spring look. i wore mall madness on its own, pigmentation was great. light ivory shadow, mascara and prom princess. Nice!

I decided to use the gift card I had forgotten about when I placed my AG order. Figured if I forgot about the g/c a month after I got it, I will very likely forget all about it by the time I do my April haul, so may as well spend it now! The only extra thing I ended up getting from AG was Boyfriend Stealer l/s. It was the only item I kept going back and forth on whether or not I wanted, so it was a good thing to use the g/c on! Also took advantage of the restock of the brow fluidlines (got DDB), got a couple of brow brushes, and finally gave in and got a Pink Pigeon l/s. It broke my no-buy on bright pinks, but since it was on a g/c, I figured why not?

Main AG delivery is scheduled for Monday, and my Boyfriend Stealer lippie will be here Wednesday

Okay, okay Oh Mighty One...you've made your point. We will all storm on Sephora.com or break down the doors to the nearest store and purchase this powder.....at least I know I will :) Come Monday morning, I will be at the store making my purchase :)
Seriously! I don't know if you are just super convincing, or if I am just weak-willed...but I'm on board now too!

You should be a lawyer: You'd never lose a case! Lol!

I have a Nordstrom gift card that I was going to use to buy my BU for this collection...but I was naughty and bought my BUs over the past couple of days...Sooooooo it looks like the Light Reflecting Powder is in my future too.

I'm unsure about whether to go with the pressed or loose. You get a little bit more product with the loose, but I always feel like I waste more product with loose powders. My gut is to get the pressed powder and just use of my own face brushes but the reviews I've seen seem to slightly favor the loose though...Decisions, Decisions!

That always kills me! When i worked at mac, WOC would get the funniest look on their faces when i broke out the translucent setting powder. They be "umm, that's white". I was like "no, it's translucent. It has no colour." Even after I'd swatch it on their hand and it'd have no colour, they'd continue to argue with me that it was white. :dunno:

So, I'm chatting away with ya'll this morning, & hubs says, we're going to the lodge for lunch & you have 2 min. to get ready.
icon_eek.gif
(its about 30 min. away) We were getting this really pretty snowfall today & the lodge is so great for the view in snow. So I did a really bold bold red lip using Bobbi Brown's new Heart ls (LOVE) Poised blush, which is so amazing paired with a very bold lipstick, light concealer & then I brushed the new Nars reflecting powder over my whole face & under eyes. So I check it in the car mirror in the natural lighting (which is where any crazy flaw shows) & wow I cannot say how much I love...no LOVE that reflecting powder. It gave the most flawless beautiful finish I have ever seen in all my stash of makeup products ever. And baby, thats a lot.

So excited and so glad for this additional vote of confidence in this powder. I can't wait to get mine in the mail--probably early next week. This calls for some dancing folks.

JUST NOW ordered BOTH powders... pressed & loose! I don't consider this a violation of my NO BUY UNTIL APRIL because I used a Sephora GC from Christmas! I was saving it for just the right thing... since lord knows I don't "need" anymore makeup... So this extra little push convinced me this was THEE thing to have! (I sure hope you consider requesting a commission and/or gratis from Nars for the IMPECCABLE enabling job you've done!)

Miss Elegant-one I bow to thee....
