MAC The Stylish Brow Collection Discussion (December 2012)

I'm thinking there's going to be a restock. I base this on the fact that Nordies products are on backorder shipping at the end of the month. Today I received an email about this collection and it recommended using the Fluidline gelcremes with the 263 brush. I'm a total brow novice. Does anyone know the difference between the 263 and the 208 and perhaps which may be better?
I have all 3. 208 is stiffer and smaller 266 and 263 are almsot the same but 263 seems to be the softest and less stiffest out of all of them. I think the 263 is slightly more slanted/longer than 266

I'm confused about the status of the gel cremes. As far as I'm concerned, they were limited edition! however, I went to mac today to try and get a backup of DDB (which they were out of), and the MUA said not to worry they had already ordered more and will be receiving them in a couple weeks. Does that mean they will be made permanent, or are they just getting a restock?
It's not really a restock. Sometimes if a collection sells out quickly, a location can TRY to order more. But it doesn't mean they'll get it. It all depends on that locations current inventory level of on-hand LE products, as well as the availability of the item they're trying to order. Again, just cuz they ordered more, doesn't mean they'll get more.

The 208 is smaller and stiffer, making it great to get i to the hairs and deposit brow colour. The 263 (synthetic) and 266 are bigger and more flexible, making them ideal to hug the lid and lashline. Great for liner.

I found these swatches online because I wanted to compare Deep Dark Brunette fluidline to Dipdown fluidline

From top to bottom
DDB,
Dipdown,
Quite Natural Paint Pot, not pop lol

So glad I went with DDB because it is lighter than dipdown, perfect for me :)
thank youuu!!! These comparisons are super helpful :)

I spray a couple of spritzes of FIX+ into my blacktrack when it starts drying out and when my paint pots start hardening up and it does the trick. I've also heard that mixing medium works really well also, but I don't have it due to it being a PRO product, so I'd have to order online.
MAC Pro products have been available for everyone since October 2012.

I wasn't sure which product you wanted.

How many people are buying backups? And I need something to fill in my eyebrows. I know how to shape them, but I don't wanna look stenciled on lol.
I'll post up a pic tomorrow with my DBB. Also, for some reason my eyebrows have stopped growing (or at least they aren't as thick as they were BEFORE I started plucking/threading) so does anyone have any suggestions on how to use the powders? Or perhaps pencils? Hope this isn't too OT. I'm just looking for some good eyebrow pencils!!

Thanks in advance!

I'd say with one or two BU's (if this is your HG product), you'll be fine.
Just remember that very little product goes a long way. You really need the tiniest amount to fill in your brows. HTH

I noticed that when I swatched DBB! This little sucker packs a punch with very little amount. Thanks again!

I just love that ombre lip you did there. Gorgeous.
oh crap i forgot to finish my comment bout the black liner
hmm.gif
oooh yea i was scared of black liner cuz of how the spanish fly chica's wore them back n the day but now since i venture out n get creative i'll do a black liner not heavy...to contour my lips for a red lipstick or to darken a purple lip i.e. mac yung rapunxel or heroine to give me a vampy lip!

I finally received my DDB Fluidline today. I already have makeup on so my brows are already done but I swatched it and I think I'm going to LOVE IT! I wear MAC's Spiked pencil and couldn't wait to see how close DDB was to Spiked. DDB is darker than Spiked. DDB seems more "blackened" if you will. DDB maybe closer to Stud (I can't verify because I don't have Stud) than it is to Spiked. I thought it might be too light for my dark hair but I don't think it will be. Can't wait to do my brows with this.
