I went to my local Macy's MAC counter and got in and out quickly. The store was calm until I had to pass the shoe section

I had told myself I could only get Unconventional and Seductive Intent but ended up getting Nocturnal Instincts also because it's a gorgeous mauve. The MUA paired SI with Magenta liner and it looks great but I passed on getting the liner for now. I can post swatches tomorrow for anyone interested. I am NW20 in MAC.

Alright, I'm back. Everything was as I expected - very uneventful. I got to the Macy's at 12:05am. There were people there, but not a big crowd at all. It was like a typical shopping day on a Saturday, but maybe not as busy. No Black Friday craziness whatsoever. I got to the MAC counter and there were already two customers in front of me. The first lady did buy from the collection. The second lady only bought regular items like foundation and Fix+. I asked the MUA to hold the items I wanted, then was able to take my time swatching the testers to confirm my choices.

I didn't get Macroviolet Fluideline because I already have it. I swatched the Mattenes, Lipglasses and blush. I decided to pass on Perky and Revenge Is Sweet. They're pretty, but I didn't feel moved to get them after swatching. Perky is extremely close to Morning Glory Lustreglass in my opinion. The only difference is that one leans slightly more pink in the tube, but I didn't see a difference swatched on my hand. I feel like I already have glosses similar in color to Revenge Is Sweet that aren't as sticky. If I change my mind about the Lipglasses, I'll purchase them when they launch in December. I left the store at 12:30am. I could've left sooner, but I took my time swatching the collection and also swatched items from the nearby Chanel counter before leaving.
It's too dark for me to take pictures now. I'll post swatches of the Mattenes tomorrow if it's sunny and will compare with other lipsticks. Seductive Intent is my favorite.

no I think is one is going to be available everywhere not until the 13th of december from what I've seen though
I'm only interested in the lipsticks now but I'm warm toned so I'm debating if I'm really going to wear them that much

I went at midnight and got Seductive Intent mattene and Passionately Tempted Blush. Both look AMAZING on. I tried Unconventional blush and it was a total skip because I'm so fair it looks like a highlight not good at all as I blush for me.

I've decided on skipping this collection (hides face in shame). If Unconvential was more mid-tone to a darker lavender blush I would have bought it. The mattenes look okay, but I would have preferred more blue toned purples. Holding off until Strength and Apres collections. Firm Form l/s is a definite for me, maybe two depending on swatches. I also want the purple lipstick, Taupe and Poised blushes and from Apres, so far just the Hot Chocolate lipstick and maybe one or two other items. It depends.

Don't be ashamed OctoberViolet. I am skipping too. I was a little disappointed in Unconvential as well. I was hoping for something more along the lines of On a Mission beauty powder from the Style Warriors collection a few years ago. Oh well...$ saved

Early this morning I had my special helper pick up my items. I ended up electing to leave out the PT blush and Perky L/G. I only ended up with RIS lipglass which will remain unopened for a while. I also had Shell CCB picked up for me as my sister has been using her e/s w/o base so I gave her mine
I think Perky looks better in the tube than IRL
Passionately Tempted blush was dry, powdery and faded quickly on me when I tested it the night I posted my impression
I hope everyone who celebrated Thanksgiving Holiday yesterday enjoyed it immensely
Sadly, I ended up parting with a few dupeable items yesterday. Too many sister in laws etc over for the holiday and not enough will-power to say no

I felt ashamed and bad for a brief period then I remembered Dec 26th and cheered up immediately

So I went to Macy's last night. I've never been to the stores on a Black Friday and now I know why. I won't even get into what i saw because that's going totally off topic. Let's just say I'll never go to a Black Friday event again.
With that being said surprisingly there was hardly anyone around the Mac counter. I mean yes there were a few people there, but mostly just looking at their permanent line of things. So I had the Taste Temptations shelf all to myself and I swatched all of the colors...finally! When I had previously gone, i unfortunately was not able to swatch anything. I was so wrong about my thoughts and impressions. I did manage to take a picture of everything swatched on my hand but then, when I got home to upload them....the one perfect picture is missing from my phone. Grrr. Oh well.
Anyways, I will take and upload a lip swatch of Seductive Intent. Night Blooming was a skip...it's too bright. I don't even know why this is called Night Blooming. Too many dupeable colors are already in my collection at home. Decided to pick up a bu of RIS lipglass instead. For those of you beauties wondering....It is the same exact RIS that came out with the VV collection. There's nothing different here.
For those wondering about the eye shadow quad which upon my first initial look at them i said it looked liked it has good color payoff....boy was i wrong. Chalky texture with not much color payoff. Nothing impressive about the polishes either. You can better shades of purple elsewhere!
The lightest lipglass (sorry i'm tired can't remember the name) will suit lighter skin tones...it's going to look too much like a lip full of powdered donuts on us warmer/deep tone ladies. The second lightest, meh nothing exceptional either. In fact i found a lot of the colors from this entire collection to look boring. I think that all 3 lipsticks are great though and one of the blushes. Moving on.....
And finally the blushes. The magenta blush is AMAZING!! This blush may be too dark for lighter girls, unless you use it very sparingly...really just a few light dabs on your blush brush will do even for darker tones. The color is so satiny and smooth. Didn't pick it up either for some reason and i can't remember what reason i convinced myself with lol.
